{"title":"THE RURAL PEOPLE’S BENEFIT FROM THE QUALITY OF SERVICES IN HEALTH UNITS IN ONE OF THE VILLAGES OF RIYADH CENTER - KAFR EL-SHEIKH GOVERNORATE","authors":"أسماء عامر, حسام الدياسطى","doi":"10.21608/mjabes.2024.260982.1055","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.21608/mjabes.2024.260982.1055","url":null,"abstract":": This research aimed to identify the level of rural people’s benefit from the quality of services in health units in one of the villages of Riyadh Center - Kafr El-Sheikh Governorate, as well as to determine the relative importance of the dimensions of the quality of services of health units from the point of view of the beneficiaries; to determine whether there are statistically significant differences between the average estimates of the sample of research on the use of the dimensions of quality of health service by rural people attributable to some of the personal variables of the beneficiaries; and to identify suggestions made by rural people to revitalize and activate the role of the health unit. A random sample of 354 subjects was selected from the health unit to which they were selected. The necessary data were collected by interpersonal interview using a questionnaire during November and December 2022. Repeats, percentages, and weighted and arithmetical means were used. The E and F tests were also used. The results showed that there were two dimensions in which rural people within the health unit in the research area benefited from the quality of services, which were approximately 50% high. Results also indicated that sympathy ranked first in relative importance of the quality dimensions of health unit services, second after safety, then after tangible physical aspects, then after response and finally after dependability. The results also indicated that there were statistically significant differences between the researchers' average utilization of quality of services in health units when classified on the basis of satisfaction with the quality of services of health units in favour of the category of satisfied persons, while there were no significant differences between the researchers' average utilization of quality of services in health units when classified on the basis of type, practical status and social status. {"title":"COMPETITIVENESS OF EGYPTIAN ORANGES IN THE GLOBAL MARKETS DURING THE PERIOD (2012-2021)","authors":"Hamdy maher, أحمد صلاح الخولي, حسن نبيه أبو سعد, محمد جمال العكل","doi":"10.21608/mjabes.2024.265906.1057","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.21608/mjabes.2024.265906.1057","url":null,"abstract":": Orange is considered the top agricultural export crop in terms of relative importance for the value of Egyptian agricultural exports. The study aimed to evaluate the performance of Egyptian orange exports in global markets during the period from (2012 – 2021). Egyptian oranges are exported to 134 importing countries worldwide. The results of the descriptive analysis of the data showed an increase in the value of Egyptian orange exports from $442.2 million in 2014 to $714.4 million in 2021. Egyptian orange exports face strong competition from Spain and South Africa, which precede Egypt in terms of global export quantities. However, Egypt enjoys a competitive advantage in terms of relative price compared to these two countries. The average price per ton of Egyptian oranges during the study period was approximately $544 per ton, while it was around $803 and $575 per ton for Spain and South Africa, respectively. This indicates that Egyptian oranges are also capable of competing strongly. The data also showed that the most important export markets for Egyptian oranges are the Russian market with a relative importance of 19.2% of Egypt's total orange exports, followed by Saudi Arabia and the Netherlands with relative importance of about 16.4% and 7.3%, respectively. The results of the market share index during the same period indicated that Egyptian oranges dominate the markets of Jordan, India, Saudi Arabia, as well as the Russian Federation, Oman, Ukraine, and Kuwait, with a percentage of total orange market share in these countries reaching approximately 69.2%, 66.8%, 53.3%, 48.9%, 45.5%, 44.5%, and 39.7% respectively. Meanwhile, the results of the market penetration index indicate the potential for increasing Egyptian orange exports to Saudi Arabia, Russia, the United Arab Emirates, and the Netherlands. The study was applied to a sample of students distributed to those enrolled in community schools in the study area in addition to the facilitators, several tools have been used to collect data represented as follows: A questionnaire form for a personal interview was applied with school facilitators, a note card to identify the actual reality of the community schools under study, two uncodified interview forms with educational leaders in addition to a questionnaire with learners. This research was conducted with agricultural extension inspectors and extension specialists assisting them in agricultural departments at the level of administrative centers in four randomly selected governorates, namely Gharbia, Qalyubia, Fayoum, and Marsa Matruh. Data were collected during July 2023 from 155 respondents through a questionnaire, numerical and relative frequency distribution tables, arithmetic mean, standard deviation, weighted arithmetic mean and average score were used to analyze the data and present the results.
