THE ROLE OF COMMUNITY SCHOOLS IN COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT IN SOUTH SINAI GOVERNORATE

Abstract

: The study mainly aimed to identify the role of community schools in community development in South Sinai Governorate through a number of the following sub-objectives, monitoring the actual reality of community schools, identifying the suitability of the curricula with the nature of the study areas, standing on the various problems facing community schools and how to overcome them from the respondents’ point of view, identifying the most important proposals and opinions from the respondents’ point of view that help to develop and develop these schools in the study community. The study was applied to a sample of students distributed to those enrolled in community schools in the study area in addition to the facilitators, several tools have been used to collect data represented as follows: A questionnaire form for a personal interview was applied with school facilitators, a note card to identify the actual reality of the community schools under study, two uncodified interview forms with educational leaders in addition to a questionnaire with learners. The most important results of the study were as follows: The results showed that 63. 64% of female students believe that the curricula and courses are very appropriate with the needs of the local community, while 44% of male learners believe that they are appropriate, while 61. 11% of the facilitators believe that the curricula are appropriate with the needs of the local community
