THE RURAL PEOPLE’S BENEFIT FROM THE QUALITY OF SERVICES IN HEALTH UNITS IN ONE OF THE VILLAGES OF RIYADH CENTER - KAFR EL-SHEIKH GOVERNORATE

Abstract

: This research aimed to identify the level of rural people’s benefit from the quality of services in health units in one of the villages of Riyadh Center - Kafr El-Sheikh Governorate, as well as to determine the relative importance of the dimensions of the quality of services of health units from the point of view of the beneficiaries; to determine whether there are statistically significant differences between the average estimates of the sample of research on the use of the dimensions of quality of health service by rural people attributable to some of the personal variables of the beneficiaries; and to identify suggestions made by rural people to revitalize and activate the role of the health unit. A random sample of 354 subjects was selected from the health unit to which they were selected. The necessary data were collected by interpersonal interview using a questionnaire during November and December 2022. Repeats, percentages, and weighted and arithmetical means were used. The E and F tests were also used. The results showed that there were two dimensions in which rural people within the health unit in the research area benefited from the quality of services, which were approximately 50% high. Results also indicated that sympathy ranked first in relative importance of the quality dimensions of health unit services, second after safety, then after tangible physical aspects, then after response and finally after dependability. The results also indicated that there were statistically significant differences between the researchers' average utilization of quality of services in health units when classified on the basis of satisfaction with the quality of services of health units in favour of the category of satisfied persons, while there were no significant differences between the researchers' average utilization of quality of services in health units when classified on the basis of type, practical status and social status. While the researchers' most important suggestions for activating and activating the role of the health unit were that there should be fairness in the distribution of doctors to health units as well as the provision of effective medicines and supplies that were lacking, the proportion of respondents who proposed this amounted to 97.7%.
