This music tradition represents music of different genres which has been merged with ritualistic, folk, and cultural expression of the landmass. The history of Indian music can be broadly divided into three major periods as- Ancient, Medieval and Modern. Indian music has a highly coloured and fascinating history of the legends and traditions to be found in the ancient texts, conserved, and passed down through the continuing cycles of ages, and the ravages of time. Indian music had stably stood as an original and ancient along its norms, and systems that had been handed through generations from ancient period and Medieval period passing on the Modern period with all the musical texts- oral and written scriptures ceremonies and performances in the present forms and features abounding in historical perspectives. The communication of different musical styles endemic and multicultural has resulted in the two broad tradition of Indian classical music i.e., North Indian classical music (Hindustani music) and South Indian classical music (Carnatic music) which has evolved into two distinct forms. Even though there are differences in the forms and styles of these two music systems, the basic elements of swara, raga and tala are the foundation of both the system. Raga works to elaborate and explore the melodic and emotional prospects of various sets of notes merge with tala. Tala measures the time cycle of the creative framework of raga for rhythmic improvisation using time. It attains its full form with the contribution of great scholars, musician and composers who mainly emphasized on the modern theory of music standardization of musical material techniques of Raga developments, principles of the music system which attempts to form a new era in Hindustani music.","PeriodicalId":478592,"journal":{"name":"ShodhKosh Journal of Visual and Performing Arts","volume":"121 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135741728","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is the cultural soul of Manipuri society from birth to death which is performed using five different areas such as rituals, pung consisting of taalas or rhythm, songs, dance, and story in worshipping the lord. These different aspects utilized are of a complex nature. At present, these are not found in any part of India except in Manipuri Nata Sankirtana ritualistic performance. Such uniqueness is clearly visible in punglons, the drum-beatd used in Sankirtana since long time. This taala shastra system is not found nowadays in Desi Taala shastra too. Many scholars gave their view that the different aspects of the Margi taala have long been ceased to exist from the Indian soil, except a few mentions in the Shastra. It is the pride and practice of India that such types of Vedic talas found nowhere in India today have long been kept nourished and flourished within the folds of a tiny state like Manipur. It is being felt that some research works are needed to fill up the vacuum that had been created earlier in academic inputs thereby bringing out the real essence and beauty of Nata Sankirtana. This Paper focuses on Manipuri Nata Sankirtana Tala system.","PeriodicalId":478592,"journal":{"name":"ShodhKosh Journal of Visual and Performing Arts","volume":"26 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135781270","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It also makes the learner face the world with confidence. Education as a system has undergone many changes with the passage of time. Covid -19 had brought a major shift in the education system and the mode of education. It can be observed that learners from all over the world had shifted to Computer Assisted Language Learning (CALL) and Mobile Assisted Language Learning (MALL). The mode of regular chalk and talk method is completely shifted to Distance learning. The major shift to \"MALL\" for educational purposes was indeed tough for both the instructors and the learners. So, the major shift can be observed in the field of Ed-tech applications, language learning, and educational policy too., where learners preferred to enroll in online platforms for their growth simultaneously with enrolment in universities. Taking this into consideration the researchers try to examine the growth in the usage of Ed-tech applications with linkage to educational policy 2020. This paper also examines the advantages of online Ed-tech and digital applications.","PeriodicalId":478592,"journal":{"name":"ShodhKosh Journal of Visual and Performing Arts","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135981397","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Physical abuse, the most common form, has been taken into focus for this research paper. However, open discussions of child abuse are often silenced, especially when the abuser is the child’s parent. ‘Abuse’ by parents is usually considered a way of disciplining the child. Abuse at an early stage leads to various mental illness as children grow into adults.In most cases of child abuse, the victim transforms into an abuser. Factors like suppressed emotions, familiar environments, and lack of companionship push them to extremism and violent action. These individuals are called maladaptive individuals, and the victim-to-victimizer paradigm explains the process of maladaptiveness. On the other hand, some people break the cycle of violence, leaving behind the horrific past of pain and suffering. They thereby transform into adaptive individuals.In this context, the paper reads the novels A Child Called ‘It’, The Lost Boy, and A Man Named Dave, collected into one memoir, My Story, by Dave Pelzer. My Story surveys the author’s life who was physically and emotionally abused as a child by his mentally deranged alcoholic mother. After crossing several hurdles, Dave becomes a successful man inspiring million worldwide.The novels can also be read as Bildungsroman and Künstlerroman, as the author is growing to maturity in dealing with and writing about trauma. In the process, Dave overcomes trauma and establishes himself as a successful person and an artist. He ‘grows up’ as a child abuse victim; however, he grows out of it by accepting his past and looking forward to what the future holds for him.","PeriodicalId":478592,"journal":{"name":"ShodhKosh Journal of Visual and Performing Arts","volume":"43 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135184954","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
