Features of the singing and performing modifi cation of vocal works are associated with the modern performing interpretation of Cossack folk songs. In the present, singers highlight the deep content of the original source, plunging into the methodological problem of musicological analysis. To popularise the vocal material, performers add personal interpretation of the Kuban Cossack songs, using the processed, adapted musical resources of the folk epic.","PeriodicalId":477987,"journal":{"name":"Университетский научный журнал","volume":"25 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134932075","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The reception of cultural forms from another, dissimilar civilisation not only offers great opportunities for renewal, but also implies deep processing and assimilation of what has been perceived, because other musical forms carry the codes of a different worldview. Ma Sicong’s compositional output, which combines two powerful streams — excellent mastery of musical forms from the Western tradition and research of the folk music of numerous ethnic groups in China — is an interesting subject for studying the internal mechanisms of appropriation and processing of perceived musical forms from Western culture. The article discusses methodological approaches to the study of composer folklorism, noting that musicological methods of analysis should be supplemented by the interdisciplinary approach.","PeriodicalId":477987,"journal":{"name":"Университетский научный журнал","volume":"7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134932076","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The article is devoted to the opera “Ilya Bogatyr” created by composer C. A. Cavos and playwright I. A. Krylov in line with Pre-Romantic trends characteristic of the Russian art of the early 19th century. The performance refl ected the authors’ desire to create a national sample of the magic opera genre. The undoubted advantage of the opera “Ilya Bogatyr” was a variety of dance scenes: a comic ballet of heroes; light dances of nymphs and geniuses focused on ancient images; character dances in the Russian folk style; fairy-tale dances of evil spirits and oriental maidens. All ballet scenes are integrated into the action development, in which, depending on the context, their fi gurative and dramatic functions are revealed. This approach to the interpretation of ballet scenes asserts them as a specifi c genre component of Russian opera and in many ways anticipates the creation of spectacular dance compositions in operas by M. I. Glinka.","PeriodicalId":477987,"journal":{"name":"Университетский научный журнал","volume":"49 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134932213","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Along with sankangaku, the music of the three Korean kingdoms, its essential component is togaku-kangen, the music for string and brass instruments of the Chinese Tang Empire, which is a fusion of intonational forms of China and many peoples of the East including the patterns of the musical thinking and language of the peoples, who had active contacts with the bearers of Greco-Roman culture. Since the musical intonation is a form process aimed to introduce meaning in the acoustic phenomenon making the latter a phenomenon or noumenon both explicitly and implicitly containing the components of comprehending existence in mythological and religious way as well as scientifi c and philosophic one (including terminology tools) and, which is naturally, the notion of the three-pronged-severalty of cosmogenesis/ethnogenesis/culturogenesis/, the systematic structural analysis of the modal acoustic of the intonational canon of the aforementioned Japanese culture makes it possible to identify the archetypical components of the worldconception characteristic not only of the peoples of the Far East, whose handbook was Book of Changes (Yi Jing) popular, in particular, among the scientists of today.","PeriodicalId":477987,"journal":{"name":"Университетский научный журнал","volume":"729 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134932219","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
