The 21st century requires students to have various skills, one of which is critical thinking skills. because students are required to be more responsive in analyzing, solving problems and solving problems in the learning process. The aim of this research is to develop and determine the feasibility of STEM-based student worksheets with water cycle material for fifth grade elementary school students. This research method is Research and Development (R&D), which is a research method used to develop or validate products used in education and learning. The results of the research show that the process of developing student worksheets to train critical thinking skills consists of three stages, namely preliminary study, product development, and test the product. The student worksheets were validated by three expert validators, namely design expert validation, material expert and language expert with respective scores of 84.37%, 94% and 91.42% with very feasible criteria. So, it can be concluded that this STEM-based student worksheets with water cycle material is suitable for use as a learning companion for students to improve students' critical thinking skills

Our investigation is based on an analysis of empirical observations provided by physics teachers. To this end, a structured questionnaire was administered to 120 physics teachers from various high schools located in the academic area of Fez-Meknes in Morocco. The results clearly underline the importance of assimilating environmental education principles in the teaching of physics. This environmental education clearly favors the cultivation of students' inclination and disposition towards the subject. In addition, the questionnaire data also provide enlightening indications in favor of integrating environmental education paradigms into the didactic apparatus of physics-related knowledge in secondary education. This integration promises to develop sustainable skills in students, galvanizing their capacity to adopt environmentally friendly behaviors.","PeriodicalId":475761,"journal":{"name":"Randwick International of Education and Linguistics Science Journal","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136342247","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The researchers used descriptive qualitative in conducting the study. Based on the findings, it emerges that both emotional and practical considerations influence teachers' decisions to migrate. Foremost among the concerns is the desire for financial stability, contrasted by their deep emotional connection to students and the local education system. Other significant challenges include the need for comprehensive health and well-being provisions, operational efficiency, professional development, and an inclusive work environment. The study underscores the pressing need for reforms within DepEd, emphasizing competitive compensation, streamlined operations, continuous professional growth, and robust health provisions. It was recommended that the Department of Education (DepEd) must prioritize educators' financial and holistic well-being through competitive salaries and regular professional development opportunities. Streamlined administrative processes, proper resource allocation, and integration of global educational insights will foster a more efficient and appealing environment for educators.","PeriodicalId":475761,"journal":{"name":"Randwick International of Education and Linguistics Science Journal","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136342243","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Basing on experiential evidence, pre-service teachers are said to have higher expectations during their enrollment into the teaching program on the goals to achieve and the kind of teacher they wish to be. However, during the process of learning to teach they usually face “reality shock” especially during their teaching practice where they are exposed to the actual school and classroom environment. The challenges encountered during teaching practice are said to have negative impact on their beliefs about the career which lowers their self-efficacy, hence leading to job attrition for some of them. The studies discuss issues related to theory and practice in preparing student teachers from their pre-service teaching to beginning teachers heading to their on job professional development. Teaching profession is not that much smooth and easy task but a complex and dynamic task of knowing the learners’ expectations, differences and backgrounds and facilitating learning to suit the community’s context. Thus, student teachers require well informed and careful training and ongoing professional development which will enhance their beliefs, self-efficacy and identities and make teaching a productive endeavor.","PeriodicalId":475761,"journal":{"name":"Randwick International of Education and Linguistics Science Journal","volume":"5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136342248","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
