Identity is created from the birth of a person and it continues throughout the life of that person. It is a psychological development of each person along with his/her growth. This creation of Identity starts from the relationship with the mother and later with other members of the family and society. The cultural setting also influences the person’s identity as the other members are also influenced by society. The creation of female identity is a veritable discursive concept and acquired more importance in the field of literary criticism. Searching for the identity of the female characters of Indian women authors provide an inspiration to the women of India. Universal accessibility within the study centers is even more limited since the facilities do not have inclusive designs focused on people with reduced mobility. The University of Guayaquil was chosen as a case study, specifically the facilities of the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism due to their spatial and architectural conditions. The objective of this study proposes the architectural redesign of public and buildable spaces with ergonomic and technological criteria that improve accessibility for people with disabilities. A qualitative and quantitative approach methodology is applied, evaluating the spatial and architectural conditions through weightings applied to ergonomic and technological criteria. As a result, it is obtained that the ergonomic criterion improves the conditions of users with physical disabilities by 60% according to adaptations of size and design and that the technological and communication information systems generate a better performance around disabilities. visual and auditory generating a 90% general improvement in users. As a future line of research, it is intended to extend these criteria to the rest of the faculties of the University of Guayaquil to obtain an inclusive model of higher education.","PeriodicalId":475299,"journal":{"name":"Eximia","volume":"5 4","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-12-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"138584999","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is a subfield of historical linguistics, and draws upon comparative semantics, morphology, semiotics, and phonetics. Etymology refers to the origin or derivation of a word.(also known as a lexical change) Etymology is important in teaching because it gives both the teacher and the learner the ability to understand the interconnectedness of history with language. Understanding the interconnectedness of words with each other and the way that words have brought people together and divided them over the centuries has distinctive effects on a pedagogical process. Etymology is the key that unlocks both knowledge and a love of knowledge. Many English learners have their first language as one that is a Latin-based Romance language as Spanish. Many others have a language that is commonly spoken in that is also a Latin-based language. When we teach vocabulary, including the etymology of the word makes it much more likely that our students who are learning English will understand the word better and more quickly. Even students who are not native speakers of a Latin-based language can still benefit from etymology because etymology is the ultimate two-for-one special. When you know one prefix, you probably get access to dozens or even hundreds of applications of that prefix. In this way, etymology becomes somewhat like a master key where, by teaching a single definition we unlock that word, but by teaching the etymology, we unlock many. With etymology, learners start to understand the interconnectedness of language and culture, as well as the interconnectedness of history with language. They had better understand the interconnectedness of words with each other and the way that words have brought people together and divided them over the centuries. Morphology is the study of the internal structure of words and forms a core part of linguistic study today. The term (morphology ) is Greek and is a make-up of morph-meaning “shape, form’”, and –ology which means “ the study of something”. For English teachers, etymology is a threshold concept, alongside its linguistic brother morphology (morphology being the study of forms of words, including prefixes, root words and suffixes, etc.), Many methodologists and teachers do believe that knowledge of etymology facilitates the guessing, recognizing, understanding, and remembering the meanings of words and that this approach is the very heart of word study. The paper presented the use of morphological and etymological approach in teaching foreign language. Multivariate statistical analysis was applied to determine whether anticipatory anxiety is associated with increased levels of emotional distress, and whether this association is mediated by severity of nicotine dependence. Results indicate a significant correlation between anxiety and emotional distress, with nicotine dependence serving as a partial mediator. These findings suggest that clinical interventions designed to reduce anxiety may play a key role in reducing emotional distress and potentially facilitating smoking cessation. The study contributes to the existing literature by emphasizing the importance of addressing psychological comorbidity in the treatment of nicotine addiction and provides insight for the development of more effective therapeutic strategies.","PeriodicalId":475299,"journal":{"name":"Eximia","volume":"42 4","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-12-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"138595348","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The development of science and technology (science and technology) is a challenge for Islamic Education, especially when faced with the era of globalization which has been able to cover distance and time between various countries in exchanging information and knowledge, especially in the field of Islamic Education. The aim of this research is to describe and analyze (1) the digital media used in digital media-based PAI learning, (2) the implementation of digital media-based PAI learning, (3) the impact of digital-based media in improving the quality of PAI learning at Integrated Islamic Vocational School Tebuireng III Indragiri Hilir Riau. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study type of research. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. Data is analyzed through data collection, data condensation, data presentation and drawing conclusions. Checking the validity of the data includes techniques for extending participation, diligent observation, triangulation, and discussions with friends. The research results show that: (1) There are two forms of digital media used in PAI learning: The first is digital media that does not use an internet network such as laptops, projectors, power points, speakers, etc. The second is digital media that uses the internet network in its use, such as gamma.app, AI, e-books, YouTube, websites, web pages, CBT, and others. Learning refers to government regulations, teachers are active in the MGMP group, preparing learning plans according to the objectives, materials, and needs of students. Teachers prepare learning resources, namely PAI e-books, learning videos, power points, articles related to PAI material and share them on Google Classroom. (2) The implementation of digital media-based PAI learning consists of preliminary activities: the teacher tries to condition the students when learning begins, taking attendance, conducting apperception and conveying basic competencies and the material to be studied. Teachers apply a scientific approach: observing, asking, collecting, reasoning and communicating. Ends with reinforcement, assignments, prayers and greetings. (3) The impact of digital-based media on the quality of PAI learning has positive and negative sides. Positive aspects, namely: students are more enthusiastic in implementing learning, teachers are more skilled in the teaching process, can foster student enthusiasm in the learning process, make it easier for teachers to deliver material and can adjust time and improve student learning outcomes. Meanwhile, the negative side is that some students have difficulty making ppt and there are still students who secretly access the internet outside of PAI learning materials.","PeriodicalId":475299,"journal":{"name":"Eximia","volume":"50 2","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134991063","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study aimed to examined how social media networks are changing the way female celebrities portray themselves to the public and how these digital platforms are assisting in the cultivation of celebrity personas. This study was analyzed using feminist theory, and framing analysis. The results revealed that each female celebrity used Instagram in different ways; however, there were commonalities to their self-representation. Anne Curtis Smith, Liza Soberano, and Kathryn Bernardo all used the medium as more or less a self-promotion tool. Anne Curtis Smith created a somewhat accessible persona, though this was done through self-objectifying, body centric, and sexually explicit images and messaging; Liza Soberano created an accessible persona through less objectifying visual messaging; and Kathryn Bernardo created a dynamic and distant persona through sexualized and dream-like imagery and subject matter.","PeriodicalId":475299,"journal":{"name":"Eximia","volume":"28 14","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-11-14","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134991943","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Determination of the pharmaceutical sub-sector as a research sample with the consideration of producing positive return growth during the COVID-19 pandemic, while at the same time, other companies were experiencing a downturn. The results showed that the average expected return was 3.69% based on the CAPM, 3.88% based on the APT formula, and 3.66% based on TFM calculations. However, there is no significant difference in the resulting expected return. The regression analysis concludes TFM is better than other asset pricing models. Beta significantly explains the average weekly pharmaceutical stock return.
