TME blend biodiesel (20, 40, and 60%) and EGR (10, 20 and 30%) were selected to maximize BTE and minimize BSFC, NOx, CO, smoke, and HC. The engine was operated using the RSM technique by load (0–100%). The results showed that the response variables were significantly influenced by load, TME and EGR concentration of engine. The results of the constructed quadratic models' analysis of variance (ANOVA) suggested that each model was an appropriate fit. Additionally, an optimal was found by optimizing the user-defined historical design of an experiment. The responses corresponding to optimal study factors were load 100%, TME Blend 20 and EGR 10% gives maximum BTE of 32.5%. The fuel consumption 0.2 kg/kW.h is reduced when load 50%, TME Blend 60 and EGR 10%. Smoke and NOx emissions were decreased by 15.09% and 49.04%, while CO and HC emissions were increased by 27.54% and 21.76%","PeriodicalId":474498,"journal":{"name":"International journal of automotive science and technology","volume":"49 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136278258","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

C-ITS, which aim to ensure that intelligent transport services function effec-tively and efficiently, communicate and exchange data with vehicles, road users, traffic con-trol centers, and road infrastructure as well. In this study, an overview of C-ITS related ac-tivities in the world and in Türkiye are discussed. C-ITS studies in literature and the objec-tives and benefits of C-ITS, its stakeholders, its relationship with ITS, its components and services are examined. After summarizing C-ITS studies in the world, policies and strategies in Europe, USA and Asian countries, and the current situation in Türkiye is provided. In addition, since there are limited studies on C-ITS in Türkiye, where ITS is still in its devel-opment stage, it is aimed to contribute to the literature by presenting recommendations for Türkiye to support the dissemination of C-ITS.","PeriodicalId":474498,"journal":{"name":"International journal of automotive science and technology","volume":"45 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136342645","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this context, the energy absorption performances of conventional lattice structure (i.e., BCC and FCC) filled thin-walled tubes and proposed novel β-Ti3Au lattice structure filled thin-walled tubes with proposed were compared experimentally. BCC hybrid, FCC hybrid and β-Ti3Au hybrid structures produced by additive manufacturing technology using PA2200 powder were crushed and evaluated by considering various crashworthiness criteria such as EA and SEA. The results showed that the β-Ti3Au hybrid structures are better crashworthiness performance than that of traditional filling BCC and FCC lattice structure filled thin-walled tubes. In particular, the β-Ti3Au hybrid structure has 18.17% and 19.39% higher EA values than BCC hybrid and FCC hybrid, respectively. These values are 16.50% and 15.66% for SEA values, respectively. As a result, the current investigation showed that the suggested β-Ti3Au lattice structures as a filler material can be a significant alternative for applications where energy absorption performance is critical.","PeriodicalId":474498,"journal":{"name":"International journal of automotive science and technology","volume":"30 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136247909","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Firstly, a 14 DoF passenger reference application model is determined in the Sim-ulink environment. Then, common driving scenarios (Constant Radius, Double Lane Change, Fishhook, Increasing Steer, Sine with Dwell and Swept Sine) are run on 14 DoF vehicle models to test the dynamic performance of the vehicle. During the anal-ysis, accelerations in the XYZ axes are logged, and the minimum and maximum ac-celeration values on each axis are grouped separately for each driving scenario. Next, the concept design of 2 DoF vehicle simulators is created. The obtained accelerations from the driving scenarios are then run on 2 DoF vehicle simulator in the Solidworks simulation environment, and stress and deformation on the 2 DoF vehicle simulator are analyzed. During this analysis, linear actuator and axis forces are calculated ac-cording to the reaction forces on the vehicle simulator. Under the determined axial forces, the brackets are subjected to topology optimization. The obtained generative design of the bracket is reshaped by post-processing for sustainable production. The shape-optimized bracket is run again on the 2 DoF vehicle simulator with the ob-tained acceleration values from the driving scenarios, and the study is completed by performing stress and deformation analysis.","PeriodicalId":474498,"journal":{"name":"International journal of automotive science and technology","volume":"129 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136342656","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The model can simulate the performance of the individual cells and the battery pack. For each single cell, the model simulates the electrical behavior during the cycling phase and the relaxation phase thanks to an equivalent circuit model. The ageing behavior is also simulated, both at the cell and battery pack level. All the battery cell information is summarized in a vector and calculated using Kirchhoff’s law. A fault diagnosis strategy was also included in this model to simulate the continuous degradation and determine the current/voltage behavior of a lithium-ion battery pack following the malfunction of a cell.","PeriodicalId":474498,"journal":{"name":"International journal of automotive science and technology","volume":"160 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-09-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136342647","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
