The growth of young people is about the hope of the nation, the future of the country. Three aspects of the path towards achieving the mission of the youth of the new era, the basic contents of the mission and the status of some youth, and the task of the young people of the new era, are examined in this paper. The youth should firmly grasp the mission tasks of advancing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation and the value pursuit of the struggle for the well-being of the people.","PeriodicalId":473239,"journal":{"name":"Journal of sociology and ethnology","volume":"36 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"136206896","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

While believers put faith in the fortune these ornaments bring, materialists doubt their practical effects. I have always been confused by such \"magical\" things: no one has ever seen their magic, yet they appeal to so many people. Such symbols and ornaments appear in nearly all cultures: the character \"fu\" (good fortune) in China; the nioh figure in Japan; the scarabs in Egypt, etc. Ritual healing is one purpose of such symbols. In order to better understand what compels people to these symbols as well as their functions, I conducted a study on the ritual healing effects of a local symbol at Xishaungbanna Dai Autonomous Region called Daliao. My presentation is the ethnography below. Bamboo six-pointed-star-shaped ornaments, known as Daliao, are a common sight throughout the Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Region in Yunnan province, hanging on doors and stuck in the ground in fields. Daliao serve as totemic guardians of the village, protecting homes and crops. Only a few studies have focused on the functions of Daliao, and collectively the consensus is that Daliao act as an overwatching eye warding off bad luck. Through field research to Manbian Village, I studied Daliaos’ functions and relating customs. In this paper, I hope to elaborate on the functions of Daliao from a medical-anthropological point of view: that Daliao serve as a stabilizer element in a community. For every community, there is a homeostasis recognized by people as the well-being and good conditions of the community as a whole and intruding this homeostasis or misplacing the elements in it leads to contamination and danger. Daliao helps Dai villagers cope with abnormalities in mind, restore stability and eliminate danger, acting to restore homeostasis in the community in the same way a medicine might within the body of a patient.","PeriodicalId":473239,"journal":{"name":"Journal of sociology and ethnology","volume":"126 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135260694","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

National costume culture is the historical epitome of Chinese national culture, the external manifestation of Chinese national culture and the humanistic embodiment of Chinese splendid civilization, which can play a positive role in the education of college students ' national unity and progress. The national costume culture takes root in Chinese traditional culture, breaks the single national identity, and returns to the dissemination path of production and life practice. It can maintain the vitality of the national costume culture, give full play to its strong appeal, and radiate the appeal of the times. At the same time, by paying attention to classroom teaching, strengthening the organization of activities, improving the platform construction and other ways, it can guide college students to cast the common consciousness of the Chinese nation. National traditional costume is the main carrier and historical memory of the communication, exchange and blending of Sichuan, Tibet, Yunnan and Qinghai, and is an important witness of ethnic blending. The research on the ethnic costumes of sichuan-tibet-yunnan-qing is conducive to enhancing the enthusiasm of building the community culture of the Chinese nation. This novel shows the decline of the white subject, which is represented by the hero Lurie, from the center to the periphery, symbolizing the failure of colonial domination and the \"Orientalist\" ideology. However, the brutal event that happened to Lurie's daughter Lucy, who was raped multiply by some blacks, is a repetition of colonial violence, and this is precisely what this novel makes us think about: decolonization should not be the repetition of the colonizers' logic, simply reversing the statuses and replacing the Western hegemony with another hegemony on the basis of the same logic. In the end of the novel, Lucy was willing to raise her child, whose birth was the result of a rape, with love to prove the possibility of reconciliation. This shows that in the post-colonial period, love is the best way of facilitating harmonious coexistence and advancing decolonization.","PeriodicalId":473239,"journal":{"name":"Journal of sociology and ethnology","volume":"2013 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135102840","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This research analyzes the distribution of medals, the age structure of participating athletes, the performance of the Chinese team in the Tokyo Olympic Games and summarizes the successful experience of the Chinese team in preparing for the Olympics by methods of literature, mathematical statistics, and logical analysis. The results show that the current international shooting competition is very fierce. In recent years, no country has been able to take the first place continuously. In this Olympic Games, European countries are still the international shooting power. Russia and the United States have made rapid progress, while China has shown the most outstanding performance. India, as an emerging force in recent years, has performed abnormally. In terms of age structure, compared with trap and skeet, rifle and pistol athletes are younger and have less training years, as well as the average age of gold medalists among medal winners is younger, especially the Chinese team. Comparing with the previous year, Chinese team has younger participants and better results in the competition. The successful experience of the Chinese team in Tokyo Olympics mainly includes the following aspects. The top-level management system supporting the development of shooting sports through national efforts is the fundamental guarantee for successful participation in competitions. The training concept of the Chinese team is gradually systematized, which is the ideological foundation of scientific training. The Chinese team has developed new methods for athlete selection for this Olympic Games, which is the key to achieving breakthroughs in this competition.","PeriodicalId":473239,"journal":{"name":"Journal of sociology and ethnology","volume":"41 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135501928","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
