Se realizo un estudio cualitativo aplicado a tres grupos, mediante el software NVivo 11 y orientado por un analisis sociologico de contenido, complementado con datos cuantitativos. Los hallazgos indican que el neoliberalismo produce descolectivizacion, que se asocia a la crisis de representacion del Colegio de Psicologos de Chile (COLEPSI), por cuanto existe una escasa legitimidad organizacional expresada en la merma de la legitimidad moral. El 25 % de los comentarios senalan que el COLEPSI no se pronuncia sobre la precariedad laboral ni la desregulacion de la oferta de pregrado (22 %). Finalmente, frente al declive institucional, los psicologos deben asumir la tramitacion de su malestar laboral, especificamente, mediante la publicacion en diversos grupos Facebook que poseen potencialidad de articulacion politica para generar cambios. EnglishThe objective of this study was to describe labor unrest experience as recounted by Chilean psychologists in Facebook groups related to Psychology professional practice and education. A qualitative research was applied to 3 groups using Nvivo 11 software, guided by sociological content analysis and complemented with quantitative data. Findings indicate that neoliberalism produces decollectivisation, which is associated to the representative crisis of College of Psychologists of Chile (COLEPSI), given there is scant organizational legitimacy expressed in a lack of moral legitimacy. 25% of comments claim that COLEPSI does not declare against job insecurity nor undergraduate course-offer lack of regulation (22%). Este estudio plantea como objetivo examinar la relacion entre este conjunto de variables psicologicas (clima motivacional, la orientacion de meta, las necesidades psicologicas basicas del deporte y la cohesion) en varones y mujeres futbolistas. Participaron 175 futbolistas de entre 12 y 26 anos (M = 15.59, DE = 2.8) que compiten en clubs de diferentes categorias de la Liga Espanola de Futbol. Todos ellos realizan cuatro cuestionarios dirigidos a valorar el clima motivacional (de maestria y ejecucion), las orientaciones de meta (a la tarea o al yo), las necesidades psicologicas (de competencia, autonomia y relacion) y la cohesion (de tarea-grupal o de grupo-social). Los analisis de correlacion y regresion reflejan relaciones estadisticamente significativas, destacando la relacion entre el clima de maestria, la orientacion a la tarea y las tres necesidades psicologicas basicas del deporte. Ademas, la variable con mayor poder predictivo de la satisfaccion de las necesidades psicologicas es el clima de maestria. La presencia de un clima motivacional de maestria se relaciona significativamente con otras variables psicologicas positivas para la practica deportiva. EnglishPsychological variables such as motivational climate, goal orientations, basic psychological sport needs and team cohesion have an influence on sports performance. This study aims at examining the relationships among that set of psychological variables (motivational climate, goal orientation, basic psychological sport needs and cohesion) in male and female footballers. Participants were 175 soccer players, aged 12 to 26 (M = 15.59, SD = 2.80), competing in different levels of the Spanish Football League. They all took four questionnaires aimed at evaluating the motivational climate (mastery and execution), goal orientations (task and ego-involving), psychological needs (for competence, autonomy and relation) and cohesion (group-task or group-social). The analyses of correlation and regression show significant statistic relations particularly that between mastery climate, task orientation and the three basic psychological needs in sport. Furthermore, the best variable in predicting psychological needs is mastery (involving) climate. Los entrevistados contaban con experiencia de 17 anos en promedio (DE = 9.85) como clinicos y 16 anos en promedio (DE =10.51) como supervisores. Se utilizo el software Altlas.ti 6.2 para analizar y relacionar las caracteristicas centrales de la supervision. Los resultados mostraron la supervision conductual como categoria central con dos subcategorias axiales: factores que afectan la supervision y proceso de supervision. Los procedimientos de ensenanza con mayor fundamentacion fueron: la formulacion de caso, la discusion teorica, la retroalimentacion, el modelamiento y el moldeamiento. Se concluye que la supervision clinica se conceptualiza como un proceso y no como un resultado, y se discuten las implicaciones para los programas psicologia clinica en la formacion de futuros terapeutas. EnglishThe characteristics of behaviorally based clinical supervision are presented. Eighteen open-ended interviews were conducted to supervisors from first, second, and third-wave behavioral therapies. These were analyzed based on an ethnographic approach. Participants reported an average of 17-years (SD=9.85) practicing as clinicians and 16-years (SD=10.51) as supervisors. The Altlas.ti 6.2 software was employed to analyze and synthesize the central processes embedded in supervision. Results found behavioral oriented supervision as the core category which encloses the following two axial subcategories: factors influencing supervision and supervision process. Case conceptualization, theoretical discussion, verbal feedback, shaping, and modeling were the most utilized teaching methods by the experts interviewed. We concluded that clinical supervision would be conceptualized as a process rather than an outcome. La muestra esta formada por 203 sujetos, de edades comprendidas entre 12 y 14 anos [1.o de ESO (M = 12.4 y DE =1.28), 2.o de ESO (M = 13.6 y DE = 1.02) y 3o de ESO (M = 14.2 y DE = 1.34)], de nivel sociocultural medio y con niveles intelectuales normales. Se evalua el rendimiento academico, la comprension lectora, la composicion escrita y la motivacion de logro. Se realizan analisis de correlacion y analisis de regresion lineal. Los resultados indican que las variables conjuntamente estudiadas contribuyen a explicar un relevante porcentaje del rendimiento academico en los distintos niveles educativos. La comprension lectora y la motivacion explican entre un 44 y 64 % y entre un 27 y 36 %, respectivamente, de la variabilidad el rendimiento academico en las distintas edades. Se pone de manifiesto la importancia de las variables motivacionales y linguisticas, en concreto, de la comprension lectora, para la mejora del rendimiento academico y de la prevencion del fracaso escolar en adolescentes espanoles. EnglishThis study examines the joint and individual contribution of motivation, reading comprehension and written composition in the academic performance of Spanish adolescents of different educational levels. The sample consists of 203 subjects, between 12 and 14 years old [1st ESO (M = 12.4 y DE=1.28), 2nd ESO (M = 13.6 y SD = 1.02) y 3rd ESO (M = 14.2 y SD = 1.34)], of medium sociocultural level and with normal intellectual levels. Academic performance, reading comprehension, written composition and achievement motivation are evaluated. Correlation analysis and linear regression analysis are performed. The results indicate that the variables studied together contribute to explain a relevant percentage of academic performance in the different educational levels. Reading comprehension and motivation explain between 44 and 64% and between 27 and 36%, respectively, of the variability of academic performance at different ages. Los sujetos que realizaban menos actividad fisica (t 2012.21= 2.57; p=0.010; d=0.115) y aquellos con sobrepeso/obesidad (t 392.04= 14.86; p=0.000; d=1.501) tuvieron peor imagen corporal. Se recomienda implementar programas de actividad fisica y programas psicologicos para mejorar la imagen corporal y la composicion corporal de los adolescentes lituanos, prestando especial atencion a las chicas, a aquellos que realizan menos actividad fisica y a aquellos con sobrepeso/obesidad. EnglishThis paper studied the body image and its differences by physical activity and Body Mass Index (BMI), in a sample of 2942 Lithuanian adolescents (1405 males and 1537 females), aged between 11 and 19. Body image was measured with the questionnaire HBSC, physical activity with questionnaire PACE, and BMI through the formula height/weight2, classifying the adolescents according to the IOTF. The results indicated that girls saw themselves fatter than boys (t 2935.50= 11.37; p=0.000; d=0.420). The adolescents that performed less physical activity (t 2012.21= 2.57; p=0.010; d=0.115) and those with excess weight/obesity (t 392.04= 14.86; p=0.000; d=1.501) had worse body image. Se realizaron correlaciones de las tres escalas de IE ―percepcion, comprension y regulacion emocional― con variables de personalidad, autoestima, apoyo social y sintomatologia general. La regulacion emocional fue la escala de IE con mayor numero de relaciones, fundamentalmente con responsabilidad, apertura a la experiencia, extraversion, autoestima y apoyo social. No se encontraron diferencias en las puntuaciones de IE entre los tres niveles academicos ―formacion profesional, grado universitario y master universitario―. El contraste entre estudiantes con puntuaciones extremas en cada una de las tres escalas de IE, mostro patrones diferenciales en caracteristicas sociodemograficas, autoestima, apoyo social y sintomatologia general. Ademas, se llevo a cabo un contraste en las escalas de IE, autoestima y apoyo social de aquellos participantes de la muestra original de las ramas de Ciencias Sociales y Ciencias de la Salud, frente a una muestra de estudiantes de Ingenieria Informatica. Estos mostraron menor apoyo social y percepcion emocional. Los presentes hallazgos aportan informacion complementaria a los estudios realizados al respecto, con el fin de implementar intervenciones psicologicas dirigidas a promover la inteligencia emocional entre estudiantes de diferentes niveles academicos. EnglishThe main purpose has been to analyze the emotional intelligence -EI- in 147 adult students, from different academic levels: vocational students, undergraduate students and master’s degree students. The associations of the three EI scales -emotional attention, emotional clarity and emotional repair- with other variables, such as personality, self-esteem, social support and general symptomatology were analyzed. Emotional repair was the EI scale that stablished greater relationships, especially with conscientiousness, openness to experience, extraversion, self-esteem and social support. No differences were found in comparing the EI scores among the three academic levels -vocational students, undergraduate students and master’s degree students-. Some differences were found between those students with extreme scores in EI, on sociodemographic characteristics, self-esteem, social support and general symptomatology. Additionally, a contrast study considering the three scales of IE, self-esteem and social support, between a sample of Computer Engineering students and those participants from the original sample studying Social or Health Sciences, showed less social support and emotional attention among Computer Engineering students than Social or Health Sciences degrees. A sample of 63 students aged 18-20 and living in Cotonou, Benin were presented with 24 cards showing a story that depicted a colonization process and asked to assess each process using a response scale that ranged from “very negatively” to “rather positively”. Each story had four critical items of information: (a) the political/ economic situation before colonization (e.g., the area was virtually stateless), (b) the colonial policy of the metropolis (e.g., pure exploitation of the colony’s riches and the building of a minimal infrastructure needed for easing exploitation), (c) the extent to which the average people’s standard of living and life expectancy increased during the colonial period, and (d) the level of brutality with which the colonizer’s rule was applied. Three qualitatively different positions were found: Always very negatively (4%), Undecidable (20%), and Depends on circumstances (74%). This majority position was that, even if colonization deprived African people of their right to self-determination, the colonizer’s action must be assessed taking into account the pros and the cons in each concrete situation. In other words, colonization was, in the case of Africa, not good or bad in itself. A traves de un diseno descriptivo, predictivo y transversal, se administro un cuestionario con diversos instrumentos a una muestra de 649 docentes en activo. Inicialmente, se realizo un analisis de las propiedades psicometricas de las escalas a traves de un analisis factorial confirmatorio y de fiabilidades de los factores, encontrando unos indices de ajuste adecuados. Seguidamente, se realizo un analisis correlacional y una regresion lineal multiple por el metodo de pasos sucesivos. Through a descriptive, predictive and cross-sectional design, a questionnaire with different instruments was administered to a sample of 649 active teachers. Initially, an analysis of the psychometric properties of the scales was carried out by means of a confirmatory factorial analysis and factor reliability, finding suitable adjustment indices.
