So many competitions are used to organize for the students on this platform. It's beneficial to the students to enhance their learning and gain practical knowledge of various systems of Kart like steering system, braking system, transmission system, etc. This thesis presents the effect of multiple parameters on the performance of the steering system of the e-kart. It covers the design and analysis of stresses generated on steering components and to obtain the optimum safe design. The conceptual model of the E-Kart steering system is developed and used to illustrate the purpose of this study. The inner wheel and outer wheel angle of the steering system are studied using the steering equation. The simulation results reveal that the stresses generated on the steering system components are below the permissible stresses to assure that all members are safe for their maximum Stress. Also, several iterations are conducted on meshing to determine its stability, followed by the convergence tool. This research is intended to help undergraduates by giving a neat overview of E-kart's design and Simulation to participate in national competitions. This project work aims to point out the findings and studying on the steering system of the Kart.","PeriodicalId":46578,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Management Science and Engineering Management","volume":"32 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":4.8,"publicationDate":"2022-10-18","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"81558280","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, for manufacturing companies initiating their digitalization process (i.e. requiring the smallest hardware investment), a bottom-top approach is still missing. In this work, a data-driven model based on minimal information (MI) retrieved from a manufacturing execution system is proposed for bottleneck detection. We consider MI timestamps when each product exits each station and show that this is the most elementary information from production-line operations, enough to autonomously generate an abstract manufacturing layout, and to detect and predict bottlenecks. A general abstract model of a production line is proposed, named queue directed graph (QDG). Incorporating the MI, the QDG model is able to represent a job-shop with a discrete production environment and to calculate production metrics. This work has been employed in the production system of a Bosch factory, in Portugal, using their manufacturing data sets for validation. Different variants of two well-known bottleneck detection methods were implemented and adapted to Bosch’s use case: the Active Period Method and the Average Active Period Method.","PeriodicalId":46578,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Management Science and Engineering Management","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":4.8,"publicationDate":"2022-10-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"43897659","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The main issues in the FTP are the lack of information, error of the basic trading rules, incomplete fuzzy data, and the limitations of the existing fuzzy-ranking functions which is failed to compare two TFN. Segregated advancement (SA) is a separation approach where the TFN represented by low, middle, and upper are solved part by part. The flaw of SA is that it uses the classical algorithms which are NWC, LCM, and VAM. Therefore, we proposed the improvement based on the combination of total ratio cost matrix and total difference method by column without using classical ranking functions. The first and second examples illustrate the existing methods without using the SA approach. The results show that the proposed method obtained the optimal solution of FTP, whereas the existing methods produced infeasible solution. The third example presents the limitation of existing methods along with the SA approach. The results show that the proposed method is capable in solving the third example whereas the existing approach failed to solve the said example.","PeriodicalId":46578,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Management Science and Engineering Management","volume":"18 1","pages":"65 - 75"},"PeriodicalIF":4.8,"publicationDate":"2022-09-25","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"42000112","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In today's world, however, stock markets serve as a catalyst for a country's economic and financial development. But, with the development of Covid-19 infection and widespread lockdown in the majority of countries, its stock market has plummeted even further into the depths. Therefore, to determine whether the Covid-19 outbreak has impacted the expected return of Nifty Pharma and stock return of 3 leading pharmaceutical companies Cipla, Dr. Reddy's, and Sun Pharma in the before-Covid-19 period (1 Jan 2019 to 20 Mar 2020) and the after-Covid-19 period (23 Mar 2020 to 20 Mar 2021) this study is being carried out. The study aims to uncertain whether there exists a meaningful link between the S&P CNX Nifty index's forecasted market return and the expected security return of Nifty Pharma before and after Covid-19. To evaluate the relevant hypotheses, descriptive statistics event study technique, non-parametric testing, particularly the Wilcoxon Signed test, and regression analysis were used. It was discovered that the expected returns of Nifty Pharma and the expected security returns of Cipla, Dr. Reddy's, and Sun Pharma did not vary significantly before and throughout the Covid-19 epidemic period. However, for both before and throughout the Covid-19 era, there was a link between the predicted market return of the S&P CNX Nifty index and the security return of Nifty Pharma, implying that the benchmark index S&P CNX Nifty was influenced by Nifty Pharma's performance.","PeriodicalId":46578,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Management Science and Engineering Management","volume":"33 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":4.8,"publicationDate":"2022-09-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"80029795","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is a multi-organ disease and can affect the kidney, liver, brain and the blood clotting system [1,2]. Pre-eclampsia is one of the most common causes of maternal and fetal morbidity and mortality [3]. Pre-eclampsia is defined as new-onset hypertension developed after 20 weeks of gestation (systolic or diastolic blood pressure ≥140 and/or ≥90 mmHg, respectively, measured at least two occasions, 4 hour to 1 week apart) and proteinuria(≥300 mg in a 24- hour urine collection, or two random urine specimens obtained 4 hours to 1 week apart containing≥1+ by dip stick or one dipstick demonstrated ≥2+ protein)[22,23]. Mild pre-eclampsia was diagnosed as pre-eclampsia was systolic blood pressure <160 mmHg, diastolic blood pressure <110 mmHg, platelet count≥100,000 per mm3, non-elevated liver enzymes, absence of renal insufficiency, pulmonary edema, cyanosis, new-onset cerebral/visual disturbances, and/or right upper quadrant or epigastric pain[24,25]. Severe pre-eclampsia is diagnosed as pre-eclampsia with systolic blood pressure ≥160 mmHg, or diastolic blood pressure ≥110 mmHg, platelet count <100,000 per mm 3, elevated liver enzymes, renal insufficiency, pulmonary edema or cyanosis, new-onset cerebral/visual disturbances, and/or right upper quadrant or epigastric pain [24,25]. A major advance in the classification of pre-eclampsia is its subdivision into early-onset and late-onset pre-eclampsia[26,27]. Especially, early-onset and late-onset pre-eclampsia have a serious threat to the maternal and neonatal lives, and in the clinical practice, it is of great difficulties and challenging in its treatment. Therefore, it is of great importance to pay enough attention to early-onset and late-onset pre-eclampsia. According to the statistics of recent years in China, the prevalence of pre-eclampsia has become less due to increase in attention paid to the pregnant women with the hypertensive disorder and in the maternity examination during their period of antenatal check-up.","PeriodicalId":46578,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Management Science and Engineering Management","volume":"22 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":4.8,"publicationDate":"2022-09-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"72779457","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It has coastal, upland and populated lowland geographical areas. In the fortuitous event of catastrophe, women are deemed the frailest among the marginalized sectors. While the Magna Carta of Women gives women the right to protection and security in terms of disasters, specialized needs of women may be overlooked, gender-blind and insensitive to the development actions. This study assesses the participation of women to disaster preparedness and response in the Municipality of San Juan. Research surveys states that in the event of fire, traumatic experiences of people affected therein got the highest weighted mean of 3.3640. In terms of flood, the highest weighted mean is 3.4740, where flood is caused by the large amounts of rainwater, which cannot be absorbed in to the ground, drainages and canals. Relative to typhoon, the highest weighted mean is 3.4260, an intense circulation of the weather system causes typhoon over tropical seas and oceans accompanied with very strong winds, heavy rains and large ocean waves. About landslide, it is triggered by other natural hazards such as prolonged, heavy rainfall, and typhoon or by other sources of water, which increases the water content of the slope materials and got the highest weighted mean of 3.4200. Regarding earthquake, the highest weighted mean is 3.370, where earthquake is caused by sudden slippage of rock masses below or at the surface of the earth. In terms of participation in disaster preparedness and response, the lowest weighted mean is 2.3380, it is where women slightly or sometimes participate in forming and mobilizing women’s group in the local government units during disaster to protect and meet the necessary needs of women. Based on findings, the extent of participation in disaster preparedness and response practices in the Municipality of San Juan, Batangas is significant and highly important on the assessment of the respondents regarding disasters and their empowerment is necessary in developing a disaster resilient community. Thus, this study serves as basis for the determination in policy-decision making process necessary to address and integrate the specialized needs of women in the Municipality of San Juan, Batangas relative to participation to disaster preparedness and response.","PeriodicalId":46578,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Management Science and Engineering Management","volume":"114 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":4.8,"publicationDate":"2022-09-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"86379705","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
