This studY aims to identify the barriers that this population faces in accessing healthcare in city Tétouan of northern Morocco.</div></div><div><h3>Method</h3><div>A qualitative approach was employed, involving semi-structured interviews with 30 undocumented sub-Saharan migrants recruited through a non-governmental organization in city of Tétouan. Independent double-coding and an internal review of the transcripts were conducted to minimize subjective bias and strengthen the reliability of the findings. Recruitment via one NGO may have biased the sample and limited generalizability. Face-to-face interviews could also have introduced social desirability bias, affecting the accuracy of participant responses.</div></div><div><h3>Results</h3><div>Participants reported facing difficulties during their migratory journey (detentions, mistreatment, and injuries). The loss of social status and concerns about the future are sources of stress (19 out of 30 respondents). Twenty-six out of 30 respondents engage in begging to earn money. Financial accessibility is the main barrier to healthcare access for these migrants. Participants identified a positive impact from the role of the NGO in supporting migrants through healthcare services and covering part of the costs of consultations and medications. IG received proactive telephone educational intervention by the APN, while CG received reactive telephone care. Quality of life, anxiety, depression, symptoms, toxicities, health care and satisfaction were evaluated using validated and ad hoc questionnaires. The descriptive and inferential, univariate and bivariate analysis was performed using R s</div><div>oftware.</div></div><div><h3>Results</h3><div>Sixty patients per group were included. The median age in both groups ranges between 60-75 years, the majority were men (76.7% IG; 65% CG) with a diagnosis of adenocarcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma (76.6% IG; 80% CG). There were no sociodemographic or treatment differences. The IG had a significant reduction in symptoms: asthenia (35.1% IG; 17.9% CG; <em>P</em>=.011), anorexia (78.9% IG; 46.4% CG; <em>P</em>=.00029), and less intensity in dyspnea, cough, pain, and other symptoms. Thirteen interviews were conducted (11 mothers and 9 fathers). Poetic analysis was used at an advanced stage of the analysis process with the intention of refining the theoretical proposal and as a means of generating evidence of a different nature tailored to different audiences.</div></div><div><h3>Results</h3><div>Six poems are presented. They reflect the main themes of analysis that capture the experience of families who have lost their children in PICU: «Questions», «No good prognosis», «Those little things», «You are saying goodbye», «Life also springs forth» and «Lullaby of the good death». Throughout these are metaphorically condensed pills or phenomenological essences that enlighten us on the experience of: information and communication of bad news, participation in complex decision-making, participation in day-to-day and end-of-life care, facilitation of intimate family spaces and for the family, care of the family system (with special attention to siblings), and accompaniment for the farewell.</div></div><div><h3>Conclusions</h3><div>The research poems capture the essence of the lived experience as interpreted by the participants to be projected through a medium that amplifies their voice. The objective was analysing the relationship between the level of anxiety and depression with the quality of life of women with urinary incontinence</div></div><div><h3>Methods</h3><div>Using a correlational descriptive, cross-sectional survey, 200 women suffering from urinary incontinence were interviewed in a urology nursing practice of a hospital in the community of Madrid to assess their knowledge, beliefs, myths and sources of information about incontinence. The level of anxiety, depression and quality of life were assessed. Descriptive analyses of frequencies and percentages, comparisons of means between groups by means of significance tests, and correlations between quantitative variables using Spearman's coefficient were performed.</div></div><div><h3>Results</h3><div>The results revealed a significant gap in education regarding incontinence, with 79.33% of participants expressing a need for more complete information. A statistically significant negative correlation was found between anxiety and depression levels and mental quality of life in women with urinary incontinence (Rho<!--> <!-->=<!--> <!-->−0.568; <em>P</em><.001), indicating that higher levels of anxiety and depression are associated with worse mental quality of life outcomes.</div></div><div><h3>Conclusion</h3><div>Women with incontinence reported higher emotional distress, possibly related to shame and the fear of experiencing episodes in social or work situations. Research links patients’ perceptions of care quality to improved outcomes such as safety, clinical efficacy, treatment adherence, and preventive practices. This study aimed to evaluate the quality of life and care perception in these patients and explore potential associations between these dimensions.</div></div><div><h3>Material and methods</h3><div>A cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted with 43 patients attending an advanced CKD clinic. Quality of life was assessed using the KDQOL-36 questionnaire, while the IECPAX questionnaire measured perceived care quality. Sociodemographic and clinical data were collected from patient records. Participants completed the questionnaires during routine visits, with scores analysed to identify associations between variables.</div></div><div><h3>Results</h3><div>The study included 60% men (n<!--> <!-->=<!--> <!-->28) and 32% women (n<!--> <!-->=<!--> <!-->15), with a mean age of 78 years (±16). Among participants, 45% were diabetic, 79% hypertensive, and 58% took more than five medications daily. Mean scores were 78.76 (±12.15) for KDQOL-36 and 5.54 (±2.64) for IECPAX. Significant differences were found in the physical role domain between men and women (<em>P</em>=.01) and for individuals over 65 years (<em>P</em>=.04). Higher IECPAX scores were associated with taking more than five medications (<em>P</em>=.05). However, no correlation was observed between KDQOL-36 and IECPAX scores.</div></div><div><h3>Conclusions</h3><div>The findings suggest that quality of life and perceived care quality are independent in advanced CKD patients. While this study provides insights, larger multicentre studies are needed to validate these results. Although standardized terminologies are used worldwide to standardize practice concepts and language, there is a gap in the literature on cross-mapping in heart failure patients.</div></div><div><h3>Objective</h3><div>To identify and map nursing terms from medical records of hospitalized heart failure patients to nursing diagnoses with clinical indicators according to NANDA-I.</div></div><div><h3>Method</h3><div>Documentary study cross-mapping data from medical records of adult heart failure patients hospitalized for ≥24<!--> <!-->hours. Inclusion criteria included records containing medical diagnosis and nursing documentation for three consecutive days. Nursing terms were manually identified and extracted following specific rules for subsequent NANDA-I mapping. Records lacking sufficient information to infer nursing diagnoses were excluded. The study received research ethics committee approval.</div></div><div><h3>Results</h3><div>Sixty-eight medical records of heart failure patients were included. Nursing records contained limited information, hindering nursing diagnosis identification through cross-mapping. Insufficient details on clinical deterioration or improvement compromised analysis of diagnostic progression over the three consecutive days for mapped diagnoses, most frequent were: «Risk for infection», «Risk for falls in adults», «Risk for decreased activity tolerance», «Imbalanced nutrition: less than body requirements», and «Acute pain». Key indicators identified included vulnerability in elderly populations and frailty with high risk for falls.</div></div><div><h3>Conclusion</h3><div>Cross-mapping identified nursing diagnoses and clinical indicators; however, inconsistent documentation limited understanding of clinical progression. This article describes the role of the Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) in the implementation process of an Enhanced Recovery Program in Surgery with the purpose of addressing all patients scheduled for surgical intervention and expected hospital admission. The three preoperative areas were identified based on the complexity of the surgery, risk of postoperative complications, and length of hospital stay, and prehabilitation interventions were standardized for each of them. A retrospective analysis was conducted by reviewing data collected through the Electronic Health Record during the period from 2022 to 2023. A total of 8426 participants were included in the program, distributed across three areas: Short Stay Unit (41.95%), Inpatient Unit (41.53%), and Prehabilitation (16.52%). All participants were assessed by the APN, and 6002 positive screenings were detected (2031, 3179 and 792, respectively), with proposed referral to the appropriate professional in all cases, with acceptance rates ranging from 12.91% to 98.92%. Twenty-five semi-structured interviews were conducted with ENLs who held senior management positions in one of the two management areas: autonomous health policy and healthcare organisation. The study includes the following executive roles: Chief Nurse Executive in autonomous government policy, Chief Executive Officer, Chief Nurse Officer, and Assistant Chief Nurse Officer in healthcare organisations. The sample includes most autonomous communities in Spain.</div></div><div><h3>Results</h3><div>Four themes and seven subthemes were identified. Theme 1. Health crisis: Negative outlook on the situation despite the new opportunities made possible by the pandemic. Theme 2. Action areas: The ENLs were involved in areas of management: autonomous policy, healthcare organisation and shared areas. Theme 3. Accompanying patients: Widespread criticism of visitation bans and the nurses’ response to the restrictions. Theme 4. Communication: Characteristics’ communication description, information management and communication strategies towards staff or the public.</div></div><div><h3>Conclusions</h3><div>The results demonstrate the vital role that ENLs played in managing the response to the pandemic. In the context studied, the interviewees’ scope and degree of participation differed in each autonomous community. Understanding the role of ENLs helps respond to major healthcare challenges, raises their leadership visibility and facilitates social and institutional recognition.
