Here we explore the reflections of experienced team coaches at this key stage of the client relationship. This is where coaches consider the choices they have made, how they responded to the client, their relationship to the wider organisation and the other key stakeholders. By seeking to explore how seasoned coaches interpret their experiences, we gain a window into how they have developed a mastery of their craft. Using an IPA methodology, this study contributes to evidence-based research in the discipline, practice, and purpose of systemic team coaching. This paper includes a literature review tracking the evolution of systemic team coaching as a discipline, relevant social science, and business management research. The methodology provides an overview of the design process, sampling, and data collection also a diagrammatic overview of the core elements of Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA). The findings give a voice to the coaches themselves. The analysis and discussion are divided into three core themes: The Team Coach in the Field; The Team Coach as Guide; The Team Coach Withdrawal. The conclusion explores the implications for contracting, practice, coach development and reflexivity.","PeriodicalId":44889,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Evidence Based Coaching & Mentoring","volume":"1 1","pages":"20-36"},"PeriodicalIF":0.7,"publicationDate":"2021-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"68934985","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Organisations are increasingly adopting Reverse Mentoring (RM) to link generations together yet adoption is outpacing research into its effectiveness (Marcinkus-Murphy, 2012). A qualitative exploratory study of ten mentors and mentees, using a narrative methodology sought to understand the reverse mentoring relationship and derivation of value. Findings showed the relationship to be reciprocal, capable of generating significant value for mentee, mentor & organisations, beyond simply exchanging knowledge. The study outlined practical opportunities for HR professionals keen to harness the multi-generational workforce.","PeriodicalId":44889,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Evidence Based Coaching & Mentoring","volume":"1 1","pages":"246-259"},"PeriodicalIF":0.7,"publicationDate":"2021-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"68935204","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A quantitative methodology was used to gather information on perceptions/opinions of participants in a ‘MET’ mentoring community programme placed during academic years 2014-2015 to 2016-2017. The acronym corresponds to the concepts of Women (Mujer in Spanish), Entrepreneurship and Technology. Results show that due to the programme, women perceive themselves competent in relation to the competence analysed; show a high level of job satisfaction and degree of progress; identify new business opportunities, expand their vision, improve their business performance, achieve their goals, and transform their business project.","PeriodicalId":44889,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Evidence Based Coaching & Mentoring","volume":"19 1","pages":"105-120"},"PeriodicalIF":0.7,"publicationDate":"2021-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"68935515","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A growing number of coaching supervision models are now available from a broad base of philosophies, but as yet none is based on personal construct theory (PCT). In this conceptual paper, it is argued that PCT could provide a suitable foundation for coaching supervision and a model based on this theory is proposed. It is hoped that making available a clear and accessible model might give additional choice in the field of coaching supervision practice, especially for those relatively new to supervision.","PeriodicalId":44889,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Evidence Based Coaching & Mentoring","volume":"19 1","pages":"61-73"},"PeriodicalIF":0.7,"publicationDate":"2021-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"68934532","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
