The antenna system comprises of a simple dipole and a cantilever based flat active frequency selective surface screen. The electrostatically actuated cantilever arms are employed, for switching the frequency selective surface between the transparent and opaque modes. Radiation containing information and radiation without information should be treated differently. Therefore, a novel algorithm has been developed to determine whether or not information is leaked in electromagnetic radiation. Motivated by the observation that the Gabor coefficients of information part and the non-information part of reconstructed image follow different statistical distribution, we propose a method to describe these differences and detect information leakage. In this method, probability graph theory is used and the probability mean distance is defined. In addition, the detection rule is set to realize automatic detection of information. The antennas are designed with different possible feeding technique e.g. coaxial probe feeding, and the aperture coupled method when feed transmission line is embroidered using conductive thread. Before using textile materials in antenna design, the material parameters are extracted using resonance technique, which are validated with measurements. A solid ground (GND) plane is replaced with shielded fabric GND plane, for more flexibility. To counter the fabrication problems, a fabric (with dielectric constant close to air) covering the DRA and holding it to its accurate position, will be stitched around at the upper layer, that will resolve the possible DRA movement. A wide beam scanning capability of ±40° for the frequency range 8-12 GHz is demonstrated. The most crucial part is to design a wide beam scanning rotman lens in conjunction-with a good impedance matching over the entire frequency band. A general theoretical approach is developed where the effect of mutual couplings between elements of the array is reasonably considered, resulting in a good prediction of antenna radiation characteristics. The designed reflectarray is constructed with a new broadband and low loss unit cell (UC). However, when exact radiating boundary conditions (ERBCs) are used to truncate the computational domain, a dense block is introduced into the DGM system that relates elements on a Huygens surface to elements on the boundary of the computational domain. In the context of iterative solution methods, this dense block can dominate the cost of evaluating matrix-vector-products and should be accelerated. Herein, we investigate the application of Hierarchical Matrices (H-matrices) to compress and accelerate the evaluation of the dense ERBC sub-matrix. In the first approach, a conductive thread is used for both the upper and lower (bobbin) threads, while in the second, the conductive thread is used only for the lower thread but the embroidery process is done twice. To study the effect of each approach, two embroidered rectangular patch antennas operating at 2.45 GHz ISM band were fabricated and measured. The embroidered layers were then placed on top of a 3.175 mm thick Rogers TMM3 substrate, tested, and compared with an etched copper version of the patch antenna. The results show that both approaches give a comparable radiation performance to the etched copper version with a slightly higher efficiency in the first one.
