Actually is prepared withpineapple, panela-sugarcane and water. The microbiology of the tepache is not known with exactitude, but it is important to knowthe species of yeast involved in the fermentation of the pineapple to know it and optimize its process. The aim of this study was todefine with the molecular technique PCR-RFLP the species that participate in the fermentation of the Tepache from Guerrero. Theresults obtained included a total of eight different restriction patterns of ITS 5.8S region of rDNA from 195 strains isolated fromyeast, corresponding to different species of yeasts. According to these restriction patterns, the yeast species involved in thefermentation of this beverage belong to Candida apicola, C. ethanolica, C. oregonensis, C. tropicalis, Pichia galeiformis,Rhodotorula graminis, Saccharomyces kluyveri and Zygosaccharomyces florentinus. Considering the frequency of the isolates fromspecies, the most abundant species wasC. apicola with 51.3% and Z. florentinus 24.1% of the isolates. According to these resultsTepache from Guerrero is partly fermented with non-Saccharomyces yeast of mature pineapples corresponding to the firstfermentative stage. The objective of this research was to evaluate themorphological variation of seeds and their germination efficiency of two pine species under greenhouse conditions. In 2022,selected seeds of outstanding phenotypes was obtained from the Instituto Nacional de Investigaciones Forestales, Agrícolas yPecuarias (INIFAP); three seed samples of 10 g per species were made, the number of seeds was counted, and the equatorial (DE)and polar (DP) diameters and shape coefficient (CF=DE/DP) were measured; sowing was carried out in 49 cavity trays with amixture of mountain forest soil, vermiculite®, agrolite® and Peat Moss® with a 4:1:1:2 ratio. Germination was counted daily andvigor indicators were determined: germinative energy (EG), energy period (PE), germinative speed (VG) and germination speedindex (IVG). Data were analyzed using t-Student tests and regression analysis (α=0.05) in the SAS program. Including days aftersowing (DDS) in the model, we found that between 78 and 84 % of the existing variation in the percentage of accumulatedgermination was explained in both species. P.pseudostrobus presented more spherical (CF=0.41) and heavier seeds (24.27 mg)with an energy period of 69 % at 22 DDS; on the other hand, P.patula has elongated (CF=0.31) and light seeds (8.20 mg) with agreater energy period of 83% at 20 DDS. The designof the machine responded to the request of the clients, consisting of a small machine with a productivity of 640 kg day⁻¹in 8 hoursof work. During the machine design, the corresponding resistance calculations, sizing and selection of the appropriate materials forthe structure and other systems that make up the machine were made, such as: transmission system, transmission shaft, conditioningand pelletizing systems.The machine receives a pre-elaborated and crushed mixture, which is processed through the distribution, compression, cutting,unloading and packaging systems. The granulation system of the machine begins with the entry of food into the hopper, beingsubsequently distributed from the vanes towards the rollers in the compression system and traveling towards the face of a die. Therollers apply a compression force that forces the food to pass through the holes. Once the feed has been extruded, the pellets are cutby blades and stored at the bottom of the machine, where a container is placed. The objective of the study was to determine the effect of flooding in the vegetative andreproductive stages on the growth and yield of native Azul corn. The study was carried out in Montecillo, Texcoco, State of Mexicowith a temperate climate. Planting was carried out on May 12, 2018 in a clay soil with a pH of 7.8 at a population density of 4.16plants m⁻². To give the flood conditions, rainwater was combined with irrigation. It is concluded that in Azul maize, flooding in thevegetative period reduces the size of the canopy and biomass. During the flowering, it generates a less thick stem, higher percentageof plants without ears, small ears, fewer grains per row, smaller grain, lowest harvest index, biomass and grain yield per plant andm⁻². The growth cycle of maize is shortened by ten days. Its production starts regularly from terminal cuttings thatneed to be rooted. In the present work, the rhizogenic capacity of four commercial products based on growth regulators and twoorganic products was tested: aloe medullary parenchyma and algae extract. Thesemetabolites can confer to the host a defense mechanism against pathogens, contributing to its ecological suitability, and can also beused for biotechnological purposes.Considering the above, the objective of this work was to isolate the culturable microbiota of the sea urchin Hesperocidarisasteriscus and analyze it in search of strains with antibiotic activity. The bacteria were isolated in four isolation media and theantibiotic activity was evaluated by growth inhibition in three pathogens: S. aureus, E. coli, and P. aeruginosa. As a result, 29strains with different colonial morphology were recovered and nine of these strains presented bioactivity against at least onepathogen. Four of these bioactive strains presented morphological attributes typical of the phylum Actinobacteria. This study focused on evaluating the extent to which the management units forthe conservation of wildlife (UMA) contribute to conservation of biodiversity in Mexico. UMA in the country cover 37,000,000million ha, equivalent to 17.1% of the national territory, however, there are only geographical references for 1,761 UMA(9,803,319 ha = 5.05%) of which it was determined with the method of analysis of gaps and conservation omissions (GAP), howthese contribute to the conservation of the types of natural vegetation, of the VI series (INEGI, 2017). Other results indicate that theUMA are located, mainly, in sites with the presence of xerophilous scrubs, which constitute 46.9% (45,182,741 ha) of the country'sprimary vegetation with 10 vegetation categories. If the UMA are considered as elements equivalent to the Natural Protected Area(ANP) in the conservation of biodiversity, they would cover 9 categories of vegetation that are conservation omissions in the ANPnetwork. However, they would not include 16 categories of secondary vegetation, which are both conservation gaps in the currentANP network; which represents a conservation gap at the national level of 72,891 ha (0.17%). The study was carried out in2020, selecting and marking ten individuals located in 1 m², to evaluate the presence of their phenological stages (immature flower,intermediate flower, mature flower, immature fruit, ripe fruit, fruit in dispersion) through fortnightly sampling for a year,registering the activity and time in which arthropods interacted with the flowers of this cactus. The cacti began flowering in themonths of January and February at the three study sites. The mature flower stage only appeared in the Guadalcázar localitiestherefore, no insects were captured at the site located in Nuevo León. However, not all fires are the same, some are more severe than others,their impact on the vegetation varying according to the degree of severity. Therefore, it is important to have information thatallows sizing these impacts and supports the implementation of management strategies. However, monitoring the impact of fireis not an easy task, much less monitoring the response of the ecosystem over the years. Accordingly, the objective of this workwas to implement satellite technology to monitor the dynamics of forest cover recovery in areas impacted by forest fires, inorder to direct ecosystem restoration strategies. For this, the difference (before and after the fire) of the normalized burningratio (dNBR) was defined to determine the severity of a fire that occurred in the Sian Ka'an Biosphere Reserve in 2019.Subsequently, the dynamic of ecosystem recovery was evaluated, through the analysis of a series of images, using thefollowing indexes: a) Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI); b) Normalized burn ratio (NBR); c) NormalizedThermal Burnup Ratio (NBRT); d) Burned Area Index (BAI). A change in the reflectance value was observed in the burnedarea after the fire, which was restored over time.
