For controlling, analyzing, and solving induction motor problems, the estimation of the equivalent circuit parameters is essential. Recently, numerous metaheuristics have been employed to estimate the induction motor parameters, due to their robustness, simplicity, and rapidity. In this paper, six different metaheuristics are used to estimate the parameters of an induction motor: particle swarm optimization (PSO), stochastic fractal search (SFS), equilibrium optimizer (EO), manta ray foraging optimization (MRFO), chaos game optimization (CGO), and jellyfish search (JS). The estimation accuracy of these metaheuristics is verified by computing the sum of the absolute differences between the measured and equivalent model outputs.Experimental results show that the CGO algorithm can provide a small SAD value of 1.1045, and SFS methods can also yield an acceptable SAD value up to 1.1063.","PeriodicalId":447668,"journal":{"name":"2023 International Conference on Advances in Electronics, Control and Communication Systems (ICAECCS)","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115109965","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The wind energy is a good renewable energy that can be exploited to reduce these problems. However, this kind of green energy needs a statistical analysis according to the studied region. Algeria has a considerable potential of wind energy, especially in Southern Algeria region where this study will be focused on the Adrar location. In order to assess the wind energy generated by NORDEX N50 wind turbines, the used wind data (at 80m from the ground) were gathered between 2001 and 2018 every three hours. They were used to estimate the monthly, seasonal, and yearly Weibull parameters for wind distributions.. Finally, the amount of natural gas equivalent and the amount of carbon dioxide that could be avoided according to agency APRUE norms. The quantity of energy that can be generated is raised constantly from January until May when it reaches its peak, and then it begins to decrease in the other months, in general spring is the best season for wind energy generation","PeriodicalId":447668,"journal":{"name":"2023 International Conference on Advances in Electronics, Control and Communication Systems (ICAECCS)","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121028917","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Therefore, updating more optimization parameters could enhance the optimization performances. However, increasing this number arbitrary could decrease the optimization performance, as updating only one optimization parameter could be more efficient for some cases. To this end, we are proposing a new ABC variant that can adaptively control the number of optimization parameters to update during the run.The performance of the proposed approach has been evaluated against five other ABC variants using 16 numerical benchmark functions of varying characteristics. The obtained results have demonstrated the efficiency of the proposed algorithm.","PeriodicalId":447668,"journal":{"name":"2023 International Conference on Advances in Electronics, Control and Communication Systems (ICAECCS)","volume":"26 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133611348","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Furthermore, there are subjected to unknown and unmeasurable internal and/or external disturbances caused by structural transformation (rotating arms). These complex dynamics require an advanced disturbance rejection technique to manage the disturbances. In this work, we suggest using the Active Disturbance Rejection Control (ADRC) method as a substitute solution to address the issue of unknown internal and external disturbances in nonlinear systems. We have opted in our application for the reconfigurable quadrotor nonlinear system as a Transformable Unmanned Aerial System, and all of the ADRC coefficients have been synthesized using the Grey Wolf algorithm (GWO). The inquiry compares the two types of MOSFETs. The maximum power point tracking (MPPT) method is used to control the DC-DC converter, which receives electricity from a solar array with a 1 kW capacity. Along with being employed for the MPPT genetic algorithms, Matlab Simulink was used throughout the entire development of the solar array. After completing this stage, the next step involves using Ansys Simplorer to do a simulation of the MOSFETs. The last phase, which consisted of creating a Co-Simulation between Matlab/Simulink and Ansys Simplorer, has now been completed. In order to improve the efficiency of the system as a whole, we are able to switch out the Si Mosfets that are now being used in the PV application for SiC Mosfets. This is feasible because of the superior performance of SiC MOSFETs in terms of both response speed and the amount of energy lost in the process.","PeriodicalId":447668,"journal":{"name":"2023 International Conference on Advances in Electronics, Control and Communication Systems (ICAECCS)","volume":"39 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130153100","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, we propose a Probabilistic Counter-based broadcast (or PCB) scheme in order to overcome such a challenge. PCB has the merit of using the radio duty cycle timing specifications of LLNs to determine the waiting time in the counter-based scheme. To the best of the authors’ knowledge, this study is among the first to investigate the benefits of combining probabilistic and counter-based broadcasting in the context of IPv6-based LLNs. Extensive Cooja-based simulations on various counter thresholds and probability values are performed to assess their impact on the performance of the suggested solution. Our results show that our proposed PCB can achieve extremely good performance with a high delivery ratio, low message retransmissions, and low broadcast delay.","PeriodicalId":447668,"journal":{"name":"2023 International Conference on Advances in Electronics, Control and Communication Systems (ICAECCS)","volume":"44 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133139110","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The presence of noise can alter the ECG signal’s fundamental features. At the time of signal acquisition, Power Line Interference noise (PLI) strongly affects the ECG signal. In this paper, we propose an ECG signal denoising method based on a combination of Genetic Algorithm (GA) and Wavelet Transformation (WT) by putting the WT through a series of successive iterations in the search space in order to obtain the optimal decomposition level and the threshold value. The performance of our proposed method is tested and validated through a series of experiments on the widely known MIT-BIH database using an objective evaluation based on the Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) and the Percentage Root mean square Difference (PRD). The results showed our method’s effectiveness in reducing the Power Line Interference noise and making the ECG signal less noisy and more suitable for further medical applications. This interaction involving multicast discovery requests in classical Service oriented Architectures is hardly applicable for IoT nodes that go through sleep phases to conserve energy. CoRE Resource Directory (RD) provides a CoAP-based solution, including a central node where the server registers its resources, and the client requests them. Nevertheless, the centralization of operations makes this node a point of failure vulnerable to DDoS attacks and causes a mistrusted authentication between RD and endpoint devices. The Blockchain (BC) is a valuable solution for building decentralized, trustless peer-to-peer networks that enable reliable and non-repudiable data exchange. However, its application in IoT environments is a real challenge due to the computing and storage constraints of the devices. In this paper, we propose a novel architecture based on a distributed network of RDs acting as validators in a permissioned blockchain. The aim is to safeguard the resource registration phase and define the type of data stored in the BC ledger. Three approaches are proposed, implemented, and evaluated by exploiting Hyperledger Iroha Blockchain and a CoAP library called CoAPthon. The differences between approaches regarding storage size, usability, and security are highlighted. The assessment results show the impact of each approach and discuss the possibility of a combined solution concluding with their applicability in the proposed architecture to further secure the CoAP resource registration.","PeriodicalId":447668,"journal":{"name":"2023 International Conference on Advances in Electronics, Control and Communication Systems (ICAECCS)","volume":"72 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-03-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121958548","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
