Unlike conventional weight based trust models, ATM adjusts the weights associated with the network activities. In this model, direct trust has been considered to restrict the reputation based attacks. Due to the flexibility of weights adjustment, ATM dynamically identifies malicious nodes and directs the route towards trustworthy nodes. This ATM has been integrated into Greedy Perimeter Stateless Routing (GPSR) protocol. Simulation results using the network simulator ns-2 have shown that GPSR with ATM is robust in detecting malicious nodes.","PeriodicalId":444918,"journal":{"name":"2014 Seventh International Conference on Contemporary Computing (IC3)","volume":"68 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134212844","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The algorithm uses the information about color and size of hemorrhages as a tool for classifying hemorrhages from other dark lesions present in the retinal images. The algorithm uses the concepts of contrast enhancement, background estimation and intensity variation at edges that is gradient magnitude information supported by some morphological operations. The algorithm follows a simple approach of step by step removal of unwanted features from targeted images using concepts of thresholding and morphology without compromising with accuracy and time of execution. The experimental results indicate that hemorrhages are detected with good accuracy in the retinal images.","PeriodicalId":444918,"journal":{"name":"2014 Seventh International Conference on Contemporary Computing (IC3)","volume":"80 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126854254","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This lends the cloud for research as one of the focus areas. Cloud researchers lack the opportunity to work with real cloud test beds. The cloud simulation tools available in academia and research have certain limitations like programming dependency for simulation setup; prerequisite knowledge of simulator's underlying architecture for deployment of new load balancing algorithms. Further, non availability of a single snapshot window for multiple simulations and database support are other disadvantages. This paper addresses these issues to a great extent by introducing a cloud simulation tool with enhanced features like algorithm editor, multiple simulation comparator and database support. The proposed features provide an abstraction to the simulator application. This allows researchers to focus on better analysis of the behavior of applications rather than understanding the implications and working of the underlying architecture.","PeriodicalId":444918,"journal":{"name":"2014 Seventh International Conference on Contemporary Computing (IC3)","volume":"308 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134484180","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In addition, the increased electrical billing and the other ensuing ecological hazards, including climate changes, have urged several researchers to focus much on framing solutions that address the energy consumption issues of future HPC systems. Reducing the energy consumption of HPC systems, however, is not an easy task due to its assorted nature of muddled up complicated issues that are tightly dependent on the performance of applications, the energy efficiency of hardware components, and the energy consumption of the compute center infrastructure. This paper presents Niched Pareto Genetic Algorithm (NPGA) based application of energy reduction techniques, namely, code version selection mechanism and compiler optimization switch selection mechanism, for HPC applications using Energy Analyzer tool. The proposed mechanism was tested with HPC applications, such as, MPI-C based HPCC benchmarks, Jacobi, PI, and matrix multiplication applications, on the HPCCLoud Research Laboratory of our premise. This paper could be of an interest to various researchers, namely, HPC application developers, performance analysis tool developers, environmentalist, and energy-aware hardware designers.","PeriodicalId":444918,"journal":{"name":"2014 Seventh International Conference on Contemporary Computing (IC3)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130369401","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper presents the S-Random interleaver based IDMA scheme. User specific S-Random interleaver provides good spreading and also separates the different users. The results of simulation present that BER performance of S-Random interleaver is better than random interleaver for IDMA system in environment of Rayleigh fading. Further, the BER performance analysis of S-Random interleaver in IDMA system with the application of Maximal Ratio Receiver Combining (MRRC) diversity has been observed. MRRC scheme mitigate the fading effect with the use of multiple antenna at the receiver side. The simulation results demonstrates that S-Random interleaver in IDMA using MRRC diversity has shown the significant improvement in BER performance compared to random interleaver without diversity scheme.","PeriodicalId":444918,"journal":{"name":"2014 Seventh International Conference on Contemporary Computing (IC3)","volume":"59 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124133730","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The fields provided in the bug report help triager and debugger to understand the problem better. They also help in other tasks like accurate assessment of priority and severity of bugs, identification of appropriate developer to resolve bugs etc. Label field in the bug report is one such field. It has been observed that in many bug repositories, the label field is either not present or is incorrectly assigned. There is a need for automatic bug labeling so that bug reports could be made more informative. This paper presents an automated technique for bug labeling using TF-IDF and LSI. Experimental study shows that there is improvement in results with the addition of semantically similar words obtained from LSI in conjunction with the terms extracted using TF-IDF. Using LSI along with TF-IDF, we achieved 61.5% accuracy for the polish bug reports and 62.8% accuracy for security bug reports as compared to 53.8% accuracy for polish and 61% for security bug reports from using TF-IDF alone.","PeriodicalId":444918,"journal":{"name":"2014 Seventh International Conference on Contemporary Computing (IC3)","volume":"272 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115859846","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The OLabs project has had a deep impact on learning capabilities of students by providing an integrated environment that includes videos, animations, simulations and textual content. It has also helped to substitute teachers wherever there have been gaps. OLabs offers an excellent platform for the improvement of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) education which has been the focus of several countries in recent times. The current content in OLabs is 2 dimensional. 2D content comes with its own limitations of low accuracy and low realism and hence moving to browser based 3D representations is important to offer an enriching experience to the learner. WebGL offers the powerful capability of rendering 2D as well as 3D content in any browser without the need to install additional applications or components. With the advent of WebGL, writing 3D applications have become simpler since most details are abstracted from the programmer. New features are added almost every week in WebGL by the community making it rich and powerful. In this paper we present our work on implementing, in 3D, a convex lens experiment in OLabs Physics using WebGL and dynamic cube mapping. We propose to extend this work to more experiments in Physics and Chemistry, demonstrate it to students and measure their learning.","PeriodicalId":444918,"journal":{"name":"2014 Seventh International Conference on Contemporary Computing (IC3)","volume":"107 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134304436","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Our objective in this research is to classify a list of websites into seven broad categories namely education, entertainment, government, health, tourism, sports and shopping. The homepage of three hundred and nineteen websites have been used in this study. We have exploited the rich source of information (features) contained in the homepage like the meta tags, title tag, heading tags, hyperlinks, the content of the website and the domain name of the website. These information were then used to classify the websites into their most appropriate category. Several parameters like the weight applied to each feature and the keywords used to classify the websites were tuned to yield better results. The experimental evaluation revealed that the method implemented provides very high accuracy. In particularly, we obtained an accuracy of about 95% which is higher than all existing approaches considered so far in the research literature.","PeriodicalId":444918,"journal":{"name":"2014 Seventh International Conference on Contemporary Computing (IC3)","volume":"58 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2014-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114876229","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
