Entre las obras artísticas que produce, creadas exclusivamente por mujeres, está el cómic Las Entrañablesas, serie de 7 episodios publicada en la revista Mundo de enero a febrero de 1977. Esta obra coral firmada por Montse Clavé, Mari Chordà, Amparo Tuñón y Ana Díaz-Plaja traslada al lenguaje del cómic el proyecto feminista plural en el que muchas intelectuales se encontraban inmersas en la España de mediados de los años 70. A través del análisis visual de la obra se observa una profunda crítica a la perpetuación de una imagen cosificada de la mujer que tanto los medios masivos como la sociedad en general llevan a cabo. Tomando como marco teórico el concepto écriture féminine de la feminista francesa Hélène Cixous, se analiza cómo Las Entrañablesas responde a las características de este concepto no solo en sus innovaciones formales y de contenido, sino en su propósito de desestabilizar y confrontar un lenguaje estructurado por dictados androcéntricos, convirtiendo el simple acto de crear el cómic en pura resistencia feminista.","PeriodicalId":44289,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Spanish Cultural Studies","volume":"24 1","pages":"375 - 393"},"PeriodicalIF":0.3,"publicationDate":"2023-07-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"48366667","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"社会学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

En el contexto de las plataformas digitales, el medio audiovisual se ha convertido en un sector estratégico de las políticas nacionales y los guionistas españoles han pasado de ser un colectivo marginal de la industria a situarse en el centro del sistema. Nuestra hipótesis de partida es que este proceso ha supuesto la construcción de una identidad común, una representación del guionista profesional contemporáneo que ha encontrado en internet el espacio privilegiado en el que compartir sus relatos. El artículo propone como estudio de caso la creación en 2009 del site Bloguionistas.com, un popular blog colectivo cuya vocación es la de ser “la voz de los guionistas en castellano”. Se analizan sus primeros posts para describir, por un lado, el modo en el que el asesoramiento de guion se inscribe en la lógica del capitalismo emocional, generando un espacio público digital desde el que compartir experiencias y colectivizar un malestar laboral y profesional compartido por muchos guionistas y aspirantes a acceder a la industria audiovisual española. Por otro lado, se observa el modo en que los guionistas participan en la lógica del emprendimiento cultural propia de las profesiones creativas, lo que les permite adquirir capital simbólico desde el blog y reclamar autoridad para definir qué es ser un guionista profesional en España.","PeriodicalId":44289,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Spanish Cultural Studies","volume":"24 1","pages":"395 - 412"},"PeriodicalIF":0.3,"publicationDate":"2023-07-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"44132065","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"社会学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A lo largo de este ensayo se articula el registro gráfico de los cuidados como una reivindicación concreta e histórica a través, principalmente, de la novela gráfica Estamos todas bien (2017) y del breve cómic digital Así vivimos el 8M (2019), ambos de Ana Penyas. Además de trazar la relación de la sostenibilidad de la vida y la narrativa gráfica, mediante la que se recuperan relatos de vida y generan espacios a resguardo, se aborda la invisibilidad y devaluación del trabajo reproductivo en el marco del conflicto capital-vida y se argumenta, a través de varios movimientos, que la intersección de la cosificación y el desplazamiento son procesos relacionados con esta devaluación.","PeriodicalId":44289,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Spanish Cultural Studies","volume":"24 1","pages":"413 - 433"},"PeriodicalIF":0.3,"publicationDate":"2023-07-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"44496153","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"社会学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Inspired by Eve K. Sedgwick, my study goes beyond presentist genealogies of identity and vindication of variation in sexual orientation. I assemble an archive of diversities to explore this sexual heterogeneity of the Spanish sixties. I show the “Kinsey effect”, or the influence of Alfred Kinsey’s (1894–1956) matter-of-fact studies on sexual variation in Spain, through Spanish medical literature written by doctors, and a number of Spanish surveys on sexuality. I also show how incipient consumerism destabilized the sex/gender system and diversified masculinity. I contend that audiences may interpret certain representations of ambivalent masculinities, shaped by modern femininities, as transgressing gender codes. Finally, I rely on the Spanish poet Jaime Gil de Biedma (1929–1990) to argue that Sedgwick’s criticism of a simplistic understanding of sexuality highlights the poet’s difference in transgressing normative masculinity and living out the traditional sex/love binary. My archive of diversities helps to connect biological ideas of sexual variation to political notions of diversity and difference in the Spanish sixties.","PeriodicalId":44289,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Spanish Cultural Studies","volume":"24 1","pages":"339 - 357"},"PeriodicalIF":0.3,"publicationDate":"2023-07-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"48027061","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"社会学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Esta ficción se entiende como aporte de la industria televisiva española contemporánea a la producción de calidad, a partir de una reformulación específica que actualiza el género policiaco a los nuevos tiempos. Los objetivos de la investigación buscan: inscribir la serie en el contexto histórico de la producción televisiva policiaca española y observar la reinterpretación que realiza del género; examinar la representación de los personajes policías, e identificar y analizar el empleo de los diferentes recursos que dotan a la narración de realismo y de un trasfondo sociopolítico reconocible. Con este fin se aplica una metodología cualitativa que emplea el análisis textual y recurre a los estudios culturales con el objeto de situar y contextualizar culturalmente el objeto de estudio. Los resultados de este análisis permiten descubrir una relación directa entre la ficción y la actualidad española. El género policiaco se reformula para ofrecer la imagen de un país en declive, consecuencia de la pérdida de valores. En el centro del relato se sitúa la corrupción, arraigada en todos los niveles: individual, colectivo e institucional.","PeriodicalId":44289,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Spanish Cultural Studies","volume":"24 1","pages":"435 - 448"},"PeriodicalIF":0.3,"publicationDate":"2023-07-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"48755149","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"社会学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Zamir","doi":"10.1080/14636204.2023.2244647","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.1080/14636204.2023.2244647","url":null,"abstract":"ABSTRACT This essay suggests that reading Spanish Inquisition records against the grain allows us to write a cultural and social history of New Christians not solely from the lens of heresy and “judaizing”, but from a lens that reconstructs their amical and spatial experiences. In particular, it examines the social relationships between New Christians as they took shape in various public spaces in Madrid as well as in other Spanish cities during the seventeenth century. During this period, the Inquisition focused mostly on New Christians of Portuguese origin, who as immigrants often sought after friendship. This study makes the argument that the historiographical tendency to consider New Christians primarily as “crypto-Jews” overshadows the various ways in which this group used public urban space for social interactions similarly to Old Christians, as well as for exchanging essential information about the Jewish faith and its commandments. Additionally, this study suggests that we should avoid the binary division of space as either public or private, since public spaces were also used for clandestine activities, and since the New Christian household was often a far more dangerous place to practice the Jewish tradition, due to the ongoing presence of servants, family members and friends. Nevertheless, New Christians celebrated friendship to a great extent, as it played an essential role in their religious identity and experience.","PeriodicalId":44289,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Spanish Cultural Studies","volume":"24 1","pages":"321 - 337"},"PeriodicalIF":0.3,"publicationDate":"2023-07-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"43170891","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"社会学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
