Organizational structures have to align to the firm’s strategy [2] and provide the needed flexibility as well as adaptability to changes. Research has put forward the concept of organizational agility which can provide a more adaptable organizational structure [3]. However, research on this matter is still scare and in its infancy. With our research, we want to analyze how organizational agility can mediate the effects of organizational structure on project success and digital innovation.","PeriodicalId":441637,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 2017 ACM SIGMIS Conference on Computers and People Research","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-06-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124458325","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

So it has become imperative for organizations to adopt social media and engage their customers positively. Studies on the drivers for the organization to adopt social media, a socio-technical innovation, are very few. This paper studies the factors for an organization that lead to adoption of social media. Technology Acceptance Model, Users and Gratification Theory (U&G) and Technology -- Organization -- Environment (TOE) framework will be studied to identify key factors leading to adoption of social media by the organizations. The research also explores the impact of social media adoption on marketing strategies of the organization.","PeriodicalId":441637,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 2017 ACM SIGMIS Conference on Computers and People Research","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-06-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126880824","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This infrastructure, which provides global interconnectivity of digital information and communications, is now woven into the daily lives of members of modern society. As the technology has transformed the global economy, provided ease of functionality and seamlessly connected people, so have the cybersecurity threats and risks it has posed. The focus must now be on creating a secure and safe digital society. We claim that this is not just a technical problem, but rather multi-pronged beast: it is an integrated issue requiring solutions spanning management, organization, cultural and technology. We believe that cultivating a safe, secure and prosperous cyberspace requires creating a complete ecosystem involving collaboration and synergy among the four main pillars of society: Academia, Government, Industry and Social Civil Societies. One approach and recommendation for Cybersecurity capacity buildings in India involved a Public-Private-Social Partnership; this is the key pillar for Cybersecurity Development in India.","PeriodicalId":441637,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 2017 ACM SIGMIS Conference on Computers and People Research","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-06-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121593183","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As consulting firms are advising clients on how to tackle these challenges, they are on the forefront of these changes. However, they are also affected by the changes themselves and have to, among other, rethink their organizational structure. Organizational structure has been identified as a leverage for complex change and innovations in times of high uncertainty [13]. We aim to test, if organizational agility can help consulting firms to develop digital innovation. Hence, our study sets out to explore the potential of new organizational structures in the consulting industry and to analyze the effect of organizational agility on digital innovation.","PeriodicalId":441637,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 2017 ACM SIGMIS Conference on Computers and People Research","volume":"55 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-06-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132246594","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Research indicates about 60% of these mergers do not create value for shareholders. Research confirms that IT-Business alignment is one of the key drivers of business value creation. This conviction is seen in the M&A literature as well. The broad research interest of the thesis is to understand the influence of pre-integration process level IT-business alignment on the post-integration IT-business value. We build on the conception that the first order effect of IT-Business alignment occurs at the process level. In this thesis, we reason that the degree of IT-business alignment of the processes that are getting integrated influences the post-integration process level IT -business alignment and thereby impacting the IT-business value.","PeriodicalId":441637,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 2017 ACM SIGMIS Conference on Computers and People Research","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-06-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125188575","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

SEIS is also modeled as a mediator between factors affecting SEIS and the end user cybersecurity behavior. However, it is not clearly established in past literature on whether SEIS is better modeled as a predictor or as a mediator. It is stressed in literature that we should find new ways to improve SEIS. Accordingly, the purpose of this research is to empirically investigate what factors influence SEIS, and to examine the relative effect of each theorized factor (including self-efficacy) in increasing information security.","PeriodicalId":441637,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the 2017 ACM SIGMIS Conference on Computers and People Research","volume":"234 7","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-06-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114060803","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
