A Public-Private-Social Ecosystem: An Interdisciplinary Framework for Cybersecurity Capacity Building
“Cyberspace” has become a common language term societies today. This infrastructure, which provides global interconnectivity of digital information and communications, is now woven into the daily lives of members of modern society. As the technology has transformed the global economy, provided ease of functionality and seamlessly connected people, so have the cybersecurity threats and risks it has posed. The focus must now be on creating a secure and safe digital society. We claim that this is not just a technical problem, but rather multi-pronged beast: it is an integrated issue requiring solutions spanning management, organization, cultural and technology. We believe that cultivating a safe, secure and prosperous cyberspace requires creating a complete ecosystem involving collaboration and synergy among the four main pillars of society: Academia, Government, Industry and Social Civil Societies. One approach and recommendation for Cybersecurity capacity buildings in India involved a Public-Private-Social Partnership; this is the key pillar for Cybersecurity Development in India.
