The origins of unions as essential organizations for the defense of the labor rights of unionized workers are examined, as well as their role as political actors. In addition, union density is described and analyzed to measure the power and influence of unions in the political and labor spheres. Fluctuations in union density in a group of OECD countries between 1980 and 2018 are taken into account. Ortiz-Félix","doi":"10.35197/rx.17.02.2021.08.fb","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.35197/rx.17.02.2021.08.fb","url":null,"abstract":"In the world, the burden of Type 2 Diabetes (T2D) falls on socially “disadvantaged” groups, among these groups are indigenous peoples. T2D is currently a serious public health problem due to its high mortality and catastrophic costs for its control and treatment. Objective: To determine the relationship between sociocultural factors (Fatalism, Religiosity and Diabetes Beliefs) and the control of type 2 diabetes in indigenous Yoreme-Mayo adults. Material and Method: A descriptive, correlational cross-sectional design study in 180 indigenous adults with Type 2 Diabetes who lived in rural areas and who attended four Dispersed Rural Health Centers in the municipality of El Fuerte, Sinaloa. The sample was non-probabilistic incidental. To measure the Sociocultural variables, a sociodemographic data card was used, the Multidimensional Scale of Fatalism, Spiritual Well-being and Beliefs of Patients with Diabetes, T2D Control was determined from HbA1c. Results and Conclusions: 70.5% of the participants were women with 56.8 ± 8.4 years, 73.9% of the participants reported being the son of a mother and father Yoreme-Mayo, 66.4% and 75.5% reported speaking and understanding Yorem-nokki. 37.2% showed HbA1c levels <7%. The scores of the Diabetes Patient Belief Scale (rs= -.10, p <.05) and the subscale of diabetes beliefs in Social Support for Diet (rs= -.18, p <.05) were related negatively with the HbAlc figure. Occupation (χ2 = 11.28, p = .01), speaking (χ2 = 8.07, p = .004), and understanding (χ2 = 8.07, p = .004) yorem-nokki showed significant differences with the control of the disease. The longer the patient has lived at home, the better control of his disease, speaking and understanding the native Yorem-nokki language represents a barrier to control of the disease, since those patients with the ability to communicate through it had worse disease control. Applying semi-structured interviews with narrative elements to students from both countries, we show the school discontinuities that exist between the respective educational systems. We conclude that these \"transnational students\" are not being addressed in their cultural diversity and pose a challenge for educational institutions. The union of these forms builds a sociocultural identity, as well as a life expectancy and development objectives. The objective was to analyze how municipal development planning fits into the sociocultural context of the indigenous communities of the Southern Sierra under the theoretical dimensions of ethnodevelopment and good living. The latter are alternative models that arise as a critique of the hegemonic conception of Western development and demonstrate the construction of multiple ways of living in harmony with nature, community and individual itself. The study was conducted in the municipalities of San Francisco Logueche, San José Lachiguirí, San Cristobal Amatlán, San Miguel Suchixtepec and San Andrés Paxtlán, located in the Sierra Sur region. The methodology corresponded to a multi-type case study with a qualitative approach. The techniques of gathering information were the analysis of content and the semi-structured interview. The results show that indigenous communities face a rigid system of planning that is subject to development guidelines, national and international guidelines and agreements. Una de sus principales fuentes de ingreso económico y alimentario, es la producción de cabras gracias a sus beneficios productivos. Por la falta de estudio y apoyo profesional, es común evidenciar deficiencias en el manejo zoosanitario de las cabras, lo que impide un desarrollo local. El objetivo es analizar y mejorar el manejo zoosanitario de la producción caprina realizada en una granja de la comunidad indígena Yaqui en Vicam, Sonora, México. Esta granja es utilizada como piloto y su modelo será replicado en las demás unidades de producción de la etnia. El predio cuenta con 117 animales y un sistema de producción extensivo. El manejo zoosanitario se evaluó mediante un instrumento de recolección de datos elaborado a partir de los criterios del investigador y modelo sanitario elaborado para la comunidad. Se realizó un análisis microbiológico de la leche para evaluar la calidad del producto y el proceso de ordeña. Las variables analizadas se sintetizaron y analizaron mediante una matriz FODA. En ese contexto se examina, desde la perspectiva de diferentes actores funcionarios, empresarios y académicos la eficacia de los programas y acciones desarrollados desde los ayuntamientos de Ahome, Guasave y Sinaloa para atender los principales desafíos ambientales que se afrontan en la región. El estudio se basa en el análisis de contenido de los planes de desarrollo de estos municipios enclavados en la zona norte de Sinaloa y en la entrevista semiestructurada a los actores ya definidos. En este sentido, el presente texto tiene como objetivo exponer un trabajo científico especializado en el diseño de un sistema fotovoltaico (SFV) interconectado a la red eléctrica del Instituto Tecnológico de Los Mochis Campus Villa de Ahome (ITLMCVA), para la reducción de los gases de efecto invernadero (GEI) producidos por el consumo de energía eléctrica, con la finalidad de formar una institución educativa sostenible. En este sentido, el presente texto tiene como objetivo exponer un trabajo científico especializado en la estimación de las emisiones indirectas de CO2 producidos por el consumo de energía en la red eléctrica del ITLMCVA, con la finalidad de apoyar en un esfuerzo integral, a la formación de una institución sostenible. Para ello, se hizo la revisión de documentos oficiales y artículos de investigación para realizar el estudio a través de la huella de carbono, permitiendo obtener la variación estacional del comportamiento en el consumo de energía y las emisiones de CO2 en una serie de tiempo basado en la regresión lineal.
