The author finds Basara’s claims quite offhanded, ideologically distorted, and lacking grounds based on relevant references, thus most often, totally wrong. Basara mostly refers to the process and results of Vuk Karadžić’s language reform which he evaluates without any previous critical analysis.","PeriodicalId":441367,"journal":{"name":"IDENTITETSKE promene: srpski jezik i književnost u doba tranzicije","volume":"693 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116186540","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In conditions when other nations without any hesitation declare the Serbian tangible and intangible cultural heritage their own, Serbs can and must respond in only one way ‒ by writing capital works in which they will describe the Serbian language and provide future generations with material and evidence for an increasingly fierce struggle, whose goal will be to defend what belongs to the Serbian language and Serbian heritage. If we fail to do that, future generations will be forced to use other nations’ capital works, in which facts are often falsified.","PeriodicalId":441367,"journal":{"name":"IDENTITETSKE promene: srpski jezik i književnost u doba tranzicije","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116819920","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The material is excerpted from government representatives’ spoken statements (interviews, media conferences etc.) regarding environmental problems that have escalated in 2021, especially public debate about Lithium exploration and possible mining. In the paper, we specifically analyzed the use of the first person singular and the first person plural from the aspect of reference, information transparency and emotional effect. The analysis of the material has shown that the first person singular is not frequent except in the public speeches of the president of the state. This is opposite to the aspiration of politicians to imply their involvement in institutional action and decision-making. However, in this socio-political context, the first person singular strengthens the leadership position of the speaker, distances the speaker from politicians in general and increases solidarity with ’non-politicians’, i.e. citizens. The first person plural provides referential ambiguity and enables the speaker to shift among different collective identities.","PeriodicalId":441367,"journal":{"name":"IDENTITETSKE promene: srpski jezik i književnost u doba tranzicije","volume":"05 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128910408","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Dans cette “coupe transversale” à travers les époques littéraires et historiques, il est montré que l’ethnocentrisme est une caractéristique permanente et un sous-genre particulier de la littérature serbe, dérivés de l’être même du peuple serbe et de sa “sensibilité particulière” à sa propre histoire. La deuxième partie de l’article souligne les phénomènes d’abandon du paradigme poétique serbe sous la pression néocoloniale qui impose une identité hybride cherchant à supprimer le préfixe national serbe de sa culture et de sa literature.","PeriodicalId":441367,"journal":{"name":"IDENTITETSKE promene: srpski jezik i književnost u doba tranzicije","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128842523","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The analysis is based on History of the Literary Cultures of East-Central Europe: Junctures and disjunctures in the 19th and 20th centuries (Eds. M. Cornis-Pope and J. Neubauer, Vol. I 2004, Vol. II 2006, Vol. III 2007, Vol. IV 2010). The tendency to replace national literatures with the transnational one is depicted within the framework of broader cultural, social, and political circumstances. Based on the ideology of “Western liberalism, global capitalism, and George Soros” – which was stated as the core idea of the History of the Literary Cultures of East-Central Europe by its editors – this tendency leads to a general weakening of traditional identities framework: from personal to national identity. Therefore, the suppression of national literature is simultaneous with the suppression of nationality in general, and with changing the notion of literature as it existed in the age of national states since that notion was correspondent with the personal identity which also undergoes through changes.","PeriodicalId":441367,"journal":{"name":"IDENTITETSKE promene: srpski jezik i književnost u doba tranzicije","volume":"297 2","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132119066","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
