DVA PRIMERA I NjIHOVA SNAGA ILI ČIJA JE SRPSKA KNjIŽEVNOST

The paper analyses extracts from the texts written by Stojan Novaković, one of the first historians of Serbian literature, and Zoran Mišić, an important contemporary literary critic. The analysis deals with some issues which are crucial for understanding the notion of Serbian literature and the role of literature in Serbian culture. Furthermore, the paper highlights ideologically-based interpretations of Serbian culture and literature and their role nowadays.
