The problem is: how are we going to be able to end with that blindness? The proposal presented here is very clear: institutionalizing generelogy, which represents a considerable advance with respect to gender studies, which would thus be coherently integrated. From this perspective, the gender goes from being a mere category of analysis (important as it has been until now) to a nationally and internationally recognized area of study, under conditions similar to those of other scientific disciplines already fully recognized, such as psychology, medicine, or sociology, among others. Given the only record in Chile of a homicidal child, the objective of this study was to the individual and contextual risk factors associated with such homicidal behavior of a child under 10 years of age toward a pair. A unique case design was used that involved a multidisciplinary diagnosis, with neuropsychological, individual, and family, clinical, and psychiatric evaluations. The present study explores the existing difference in domestic homicides committed by immis and Spanish aggressors comparing sociodemographic factors of the offender, characteristics of the relationship, history of violent behavior, modus operandi, and post-crime behavior. Through the analysis of final court judgements, a sample of 168 cases of murders, homicides, or attempts taking place in Spain between the years 2000 and 2011 was gathered. Data obtained was d with Student’s t-test and chi-square test. However, this group of delinquent minors is heterogeneous and diverse variables have been described in different levels of individual development that would explain emergence and relapse of such behaviors. The aim of the study is to analyse the socio-demographic profile and the criminal typology of juvenile offenders in a probation in Granada province from 2014 to 2017. Methodologically, data were ed from the annual reports of the Integral Service of Open Resources, which d a sample of 2,691 minors. The profile describes a male, 16-18 years old and of Spanish origin. A low academic level and inadequate parenting practices would be relevant risk factors. Predictive validity, as it is known, allows evaluating this characteristic. This type of validity has been evaluated through various techniques, such as contingency , sensitivity, specificity, andROC curves. However, these techniques do not address a major statistical problem: data censorship that occurs in prospective studies, since in many cases the subjects will not relapse during the follow-up performed. Survival analysis is a technique that allows taking this information into consideration and modeling the time until a certain event happens. It is necessary to transcend gender confrontation from the feminist movement, requiring deconstruction and redefinition of gender norms, including the redefinition of the subject of feminism. According to this consideration, studies for the analysis and characterization of this violence should place gender as a central category of analysis (i.e., they should be gender-specific or, at least, gender-sensitive). However, despite this, not a few scientific texts and papers continue to be written from what has been termed gender blindness. This article reflects on the possible repercussions of this “blindness”, and on the need to start from a framework of interpretation that places gender at the centre of analysis and adequately dimensions this problem. The main problems that this distorted vision of reality entails for the implementation of programs for the prevention and treatment of violence are also addressed. Bull","doi":"10.5093/APJ2019A1","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.5093/APJ2019A1","url":null,"abstract":"The aims of the present study were to analyse people’s natural ability to discriminate between true and false statements provided by people with intellectual disability (IQTRUE = 62.00, SD = 10.07; IQFALSE = 58.41, SD = 8.42), and the differentiating characteristics of such people’s statements using criteria-based content analysis (CBCA). Thirty-three people assessed 16 true statements and 13 false statements using their normal abilities. Two other evaluators trained in CBCA evaluated the same statements. The natural evaluators differentiated between true and false statements with somewhat above-chance accuracy, even though error rate was high (38.19%). That lay participants could not effectively discriminate between false and true statements demonstrates that such assessments cannot be considered useful in a forensic context. The CBCA technique did discriminate at a better level than intuitive judgements. However, of the 19 criteria, only one significantly discriminated. More procedures specifically adapted to the abilities of people with intellectual disabilities are thus d. The presence of structured production, quantity of details, characteristics details and unexpected complications increased the probability that a statement would be considered true by non-expert evaluators. The classification made by the non-expert evaluators was independent of the participants’ IQ.
