Abstract
The social concern about offenses committed by minors has been reflected in the Organic Law 8/2006, which modifies the Organic Law 5/2000 that regulates criminal responsibility of minors in Spain. The aim of the study is to analyse the socio-demographic profile and the criminal typology of juvenile offenders in a probation in Granada province from 2014 to 2017. Methodologically, data were ed from the annual reports of the Integral Service of Open Resources, which d a sample of 2,691 minors. The profile describes a male, 16-18 years old and of Spanish origin. A low academic level and inadequate parenting practices would be relevant risk factors. The main offences are injuries and damages to property.
