Supply chains are complex systems where partner actions and coordination affect the performance of the system as a whole. Increasing competitiveness and the need for rapid customer responses require the use of effective management techniques. Traditionally, heuristic or mathematical programming techniques have been used in SCM. Individual item analysis is a common optimization method in supply chains. This ignores the fact that there are dynamic interactions between different entities and that the optimization must be done as a whole. Stochastic models and AI AI have seen limited application in Supply Chain Management (SCM). In order to exploit the potential benefits of stochastic IA for supply chain management, we present in this paper our contribution as a combination of CEW and stochastic approaches to help solve practical problems in forecasting. of stock.","PeriodicalId":435919,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Colloquium on Logistics and Supply Chain Management (LOGISTIQUA)","volume":"3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132714301","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In addition to production and consumption processes, a huge amount of greenhouse gases is emitted into the atmosphere. Indeed, inefficient energy use and excessive greenhouse gas emissions have raised concerns around the world. The manufacturing sector, which is the backbone of most countries, consumes almost half of the world's total available energy. To achieve the objective of saving energy and reducing financial costs, production managers must review their scheduling strategy. In this regard, this article consider the batch sizing and joint scheduling of jobs and variable maintenance activities under energy constraints The goal is to complete the schedule before a common deadline while minimizing the multiobjective of the total tardiness, the maximum demand on peak hours and the total energy consumption which depends on batch/machine assignment simultaneously. We propose to tackle this problem through mixed integer linear programming (MILP).","PeriodicalId":435919,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Colloquium on Logistics and Supply Chain Management (LOGISTIQUA)","volume":"44 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133201675","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The purpose of this global and open system is to deal with logistics grand challenge by setting up an efficient and sustainable Logistics Web. Methodology and approach: the purpose of this paper is to review of scientific articles dedicated to Physical Internet topic, and to provide a clustering strategy enabling to classify the literature on the Physical Internet, to follow its evolution, as well as to criticize it. The classification is based on three factors: Logistics Web, organization, and resources. Results: Several papers about Physical Internet have been classified and analyzed along the Logistics Web, resources and organization views at a strategic, tactical and operational level, respectively. A developed cluster analyses shows that Physical Internet needs more studies and more analyses to be adopted. Outcomes: The Physical Internet system has attracted several researchers in the last 4 years, and since then more articles have been published. However, this topic is still on papers and it needs more practice.","PeriodicalId":435919,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Colloquium on Logistics and Supply Chain Management (LOGISTIQUA)","volume":"3 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116174884","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this article a literature review is conducted - based on more than 50 reviewed articles on simulation techniques in the context of reverse logistics. A classification of reverse supply chain problems that apply simulation techniques is proposed. Perusal of the literature shows that research in the field of reverse logistics and simulation has not been reviewed extensively. This study attempts to fill the existing gap through literature review, and outline future directions for research.","PeriodicalId":435919,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Colloquium on Logistics and Supply Chain Management (LOGISTIQUA)","volume":"60 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128356020","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

With the increased distribution of product and service flows, many logistics applications increasingly requires customers to be grouped into clusters that facilitate delivery or any processing upstream or downstream of customers. In this article, we propose an approach using the known problem of generalized vehicle routing (GVRP) which is an extension of the problem of vehicle routing (VRP) and the problem of split delivery vehicle routing (SDVRP). The GVRP handles a set of clients grouped into separate groups, while the SDVRP allowed for split deliveries. The constraint that each customer must be visited only once is then removed. In this article, using a simple example and combining the two previous methods, we give an illustration of the problem of multisplit delivery. This example presents the new concept of problems of clustered vehicle routings that overlap with multisplit deliveries. This can be considered as an extension of previous work. We also give a mathematical formulation of this type of problem. A two-level variant will be presented, and we propose an algorithm inspired by those proposed in the references.","PeriodicalId":435919,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Colloquium on Logistics and Supply Chain Management (LOGISTIQUA)","volume":"67 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122167193","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Although online shopping provides time and place utility to consumers, it is does not allow consumers to touch or try on products before purchase. For this reason, product returns in online channels are much higher than the returns in physical channels. Compared to physical channels, it takes longer time to process online return claims, because there is usually no physical location for consumers to directly return products to. They often need to use carrier companies, which increases process duration. Hence, online consumers who make return claim are often inconvenienced by long waiting times, even if their return claim is accepted. In order to address these idiosyncratic difficulties of online shopping, this paper suggests a photo-enabled order tracking system that allows consumers to visualize photos of their orders over the Internet at each e-fulfilment step. This system is proposed to provide two advantages. First, the audit function in e-fulfilment process is partially delegated to consumers, who, if they desire, can monitor their orders, enabling errors to be corrected instantly. This monitoring mechanism would decrease the firms' use of internal resources necessary to control logistics processes to prevent the possible instances of consumer dissatisfaction. Second, although the instant correction may not be possible, the return process would be shorter, because consumers will be able to make their return claims before the product is delivered to the delivery point. This would provide a saving in both the logistics costs of firms and the time-period that consumers need to wait for possessing products physically in the right form. In order to support these propositions, this paper has made a content analysis of the negative text comments posted by online consumers in an e-marketplace. After the identification of major reasons for product return claims with this analysis, this paper discusses how the photo-enabled order tracking system might help address and even eliminate the causes of online return claims. This paper also discusses the operational challenges and limitations of using this system for firms.","PeriodicalId":435919,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Colloquium on Logistics and Supply Chain Management (LOGISTIQUA)","volume":"284 5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117342388","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In order to decrease these effects, several organizations have directed to the performance evaluation of the inventory management systems using indicators. Some authors have tried to define improvement paths in terms of models to meet performance criteria and to integrate risk in forecasting and stock management through probabilistic models. Among these models, the graphical models are the most used for example the Bayesian networks and petri nets. Based on the literature and analysis made earlier, this work consists of developing a supply performance assessment model based on petri nets and taking into account the obsolescence parameter (dead stock) in the supply management of the inventory of spare parts. Also, we will present the influence of some parameters on the system through a simulation study.","PeriodicalId":435919,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Colloquium on Logistics and Supply Chain Management (LOGISTIQUA)","volume":"59 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124543038","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This research paper attempts to bring a better understanding about the transient phase. It proposes a framework that conceptualize the transient phase into four stages: (a) supplier selection, (b) selection of the implementation strategic decision, (c) implementation of the strategic decision and (d) validation of the strategic decision. An application is shared to illustrate the suggested model and to guide the Moroccan Ministry of Health through the move from insourcing to outsourcing setup.","PeriodicalId":435919,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Colloquium on Logistics and Supply Chain Management (LOGISTIQUA)","volume":"44 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114653096","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
