Thus, the optimization model about the weight vectors combination was constructed. This paper models a coordinated automatic control system of AGC and AVC based on hierarchical control, adopting decomposition-coordination method between active power and reactive power based on time dimension, the design scheme of each control layer is also given. The upper controller optimize active and reactive power coordinately, and then provides the reference setting for comprehensive optimal economic and security. The lower controller improve the control strategy of AGC in advance thus actualized comprehensive energy saving, study of the AGC effects on voltage control is carried out and realize the comprehensive optimal of economic and security by means of suitable voltage control command. Besides, the coordination process checks and corrects the commands in an iterative way, and then get the final comprehensive coordinated commands, which can minimize the negative effects thus maintains the system operating within the multi-objective suboptimal area. In addition, this paper explains the technologies and knowledge required to construct an interoperable system with IEC 61850 learnt from our experience of IEC 61850-compliant verification tests and actual projects in Southeast Asia and the Middle East. It is proverbial that the circulating current worsens the distribution of leakage magnetic filed and consequently does harm to the ac loss and critical current in the tapes. In this paper, the influence of the subcircuit electric resistance on the circulating current is studied by the method of combining magnetic field calculation with circuit analysis. Circulating current distributions of pancake windings can be calculated. The analysis shows that the circulating current caused by zero resistance of HTS tapes is huge, and cannot be ignored. This paper presents a novel technique for predicting transient stability status of a power system following a large disturbance. The synchronously measured samples of the fundamental frequency voltage magnitudes are used to detect the stability. A stability criterion based on the volt-second integration of post-disturbance voltage trajectory is proposed for detecting the transient instability. The drop rate of voltage magnitude after clearing the fault is embedded into the proposed criterion since it indicates the severity of disturbance in some extent. There are two integration termination criteria for fast prediction. Compare with traditional transient stability prediction methods, in which the post-fault rotor angle and angular velocity samples are used to produce the instability criteria, the proposed method improves the reliability and rapidity of transient stability detection especially for the multiple swing instability cases. An, Jian Sun, Lihui Wang","doi":"10.1109/APAP.2011.6180508","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.1109/APAP.2011.6180508","url":null,"abstract":"In order to solve the contradiction between the transmission and storage requirements of massive electric physical information in smart grid and relative shortage of communication resources, this paper puts forward an novel encoding method based on Least Mean Square (LMS) adaptive filtering theory and Adaptive Differential Pulse Code Modulation (ADPCM) system in G.726 international standard proposed by CCITT. The LMS-ADPCM coding method, which combines the adaptive characteristic of Adaptive Pulse Code Modulation (APCM) and the differential characteristic of differential Pulse Code Modulation (DPCM), conducts adaptive quantization coding on the differential values of sample signals using adaptive prediction and adaptive quantization techniques that can improve the quantization and encoding characteristics of the coding system. Moreover, this paper analyzes the coding specification and existing deficiencies of the current power communication protocols, mainly including IEC60870-5 and IEC61850. Based on the LMS-ADPCM coding algorithm and ASN.1's basic coding rules (BER), the feasible coding scheme for IEC61850 protocol messages is designed to achieve seamless integration communication among different equipments and systems. The main control area's objective is the ACE of global area. AGC system based on the addressed method can realize multi-objective coordinated control conveniently.
