High expectations, lack of time, skills, and social support may lead to occupational stress among nurses, which spontaneously causes anxiety, post traumatic stress disorder, distress, and other psychological problems. Nurses may also accompany with somatic symptoms, such as palpitations, nausea, dyspnea, and dizziness. The study aims to assess the level of stress among the nurses at SMCH and association between the level of stress and selected demographic variables of staff nurse in quantitative non experimental approach by descriptive research design. A samples was 50 staff nurse selected using recruited by non-probability purposive sampling technique. A selfstructured questionnaire and Likert 5 point scale was used to assess the demographic data and level of stress among the staff nurses. The results shows that, about 38 (76%) of the staff nurse had severe stress, 5 (10%) of the staff nurse had moderate stress and remaining 7 (14%) of the were of mild stress. The chi-square test also shows statistically significant association between education and level of stress among staff nurses at p<0.05 level. This study concluded that, the corona virus has caused severe stress among the nurses at SMCH. The causal comparison screening approach was adopted. Hypotheses were investigated by the SEM method. The research data were collected online from 365 white-collar employees between July 1, and August 30, 2021, using a simple random sampling approach. The purpose of collecting the data between these dates was that the ban on lying off the employees due to the COVID 19 pandemic has been lifted on June 30, 2021. Empirically, a negative and significant relationship was found between t-anxiety and PM. It was also found that positive and significant relationships exist between t-anxiety and VP and VL. A negative relationship between s-anxiety about layoffs due to COVID 19 pandemic and PM was determined. S-anxiety about layoffs due to COVID 19 pandemic has been found to have moderating negative effect on the relationships between t-anxiety and VP and VL. High levels of anxiety (both for t-anxiety and s-anxiety) affect PM negatively whereas low levels of anxiety strengthen it. PM gets weaker in anxious individuals, while VP and VL get stronger. Because of the s-anxiety about layoffs due to COVID 19 pandemic white-collar professionals are likely to face a career shock, resulting in unsustainable trajectories. This crisis can produce stress, overwhelm, and powerful emotions in susceptible people, especially older persons. Our study examined the relationship between well-being and fear of COVID-19 among older persons residing in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, during the pandemic. A sociodemographic survey was undertaken. Two scales are used for a month of the COVID-19 outbreak: the Mental Health Continuum Short Form (MHC-SF) and the Fear of COVID-19 Scale (FCV-19S). We surveyed 158 senior citizens in Ho Chi Minh City between February and April 2021. There was no lockdown in Ho Chi Minh before the fourth wave of infection. Despite this, citizens have maintained high compliance with coronavirus prophylaxis. Sociodemographic data were described using descriptive statistics. A one-way MANOVA assessed the financial impact on older individuals' well-being. The Pearson correlation was employed to find the link between happiness and COVID-19 dread. During the COVID-19 pandemic, older persons who received various monthly allowances had statistically significant emotional and psychological well-being differences. There was no association between well-being and COVID-19 dread. The COVID-19 epidemic has disproportionately affected vulnerable groups. Older individuals are a risk population that requires material and mental care. Excessive stress causes physical and mental health problems. Persistent stress can impair students’ academic achievement and personal or professional development. The aim of this study is to explore the levels of stress among medical students by determining the prevalence and other factors associated with it. Considering the fact that it is impossible to eliminate stress from medical training, the other goal of the study is to figure out student friendly strategies which can be used to alleviate the high stress levels. The prevalence of stress among the second year medical students will be calculated. Methods: A cross-sectional study design will be used, utilizing a validated questionnaire, the ‘Medical Student Stressor Questionnaire (MSSQ)’, to evaluate stress levels and stressors. School and ethical committee clearance is to be obtained prior to the study. Data will be analysed using SPSS version 12. 201 medical students will be administered with the questionnaires. Design and Methods: The study sample consisted of 604 healthcare workers. Data were collected using a questionnaire developed by the researcher and analysed by using descriptive statistics, t-test, and analysis of variance, Kruskal-Wallis, and Turkey test on the SPSS 23.0 software package. Findings: The healthcare professionals in the study were concerned that they could infect their family members with the virus (72%) and that their relatives would be harmed due to the pandemic (63.2%). Nurses experienced the least anxiety. Women experienced more anxiety than men. Despite experiencing anxiety, 58.5% did not consider resigning due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Practice Implications: The mental health of healthcare professionals, who serve at the forefront during the Covid-19 pandemic, should be evaluated in the long term. Early intervention to indirect traumatization can make it easier to control the anxiety caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. Revealing anxiety-related topics will facilitate handling the right issues and coping with them.","PeriodicalId":43558,"journal":{"name":"ASEAN Journal of Psychiatry","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"74521004","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The study corresponds to basic research, with a systematic review research design, for the data collection procedures was carried out by means of the bibliographic and systematic documents search where scientific articles were selected in the search engines of Ebsco and Scielo, the same ones that have been ordered in an Excel matrix to facilitate their quick localization; in total 20 articles were selected. In the analysis technique, the documentary review was used, after the analysis of the results and the conclusions obtained according to the objective, it has been determined that the most predominant investigations have been those of quantitative, descriptive, qualitative and mixed type. The development of critical thinking is essential to become an integral person, so that the subject can define or fully understand a situation or problem that leads to its solution. In this context, a student, as a critical thinker, must develop constantly stimulated specific abilities so that they can be sufficiently enhanced to become a true skill. Family members of psychological patients play a vital part in treatment and intervention of patients suffering from psychological problems. Their support may facilitate the patient in treatment as well as on the other hand may contribute to exacerbation. However, such family members also suffer while dealing with their relatives who suffer from psychological disorders. Therefore, this study is intended to find out how family accommodation causes impairment in treatment of ObsessiveCompulsive Disorder (OCD) patients, to measure the burden of care (in terms of six dimensions i.e., financial burden, disruption of family routine, disruption of family leisure, disruption of family interaction, effect on physical health of others and effect on mental health of others) and to determine the level of psychological distress in family members of OCD patients. The present correlational research was consisted of 120 family members (42 men, 78 women), who were the primary caregivers. Result of Pearson Product Moment Correlation showed a highly significant positive relationship between family accommodation, caregiver burden and psychological distress. Mediation analysis was done using process which showed that caregiver burden mediated the relationship between family accommodation and psychological distress. Family interventions regarding accommodation by family members can be provided in order to improve the patient treatment and research findings can also be implied to teach coping strategies to family members in order to deal the burden they experienced.
