Product diversification, market segmentation, innovation management, cost-effective lifecycle planning, price strategies, market expansion, client retention, alliances, and collaboration are a few examples of important tactics. The difficulties include growing rivalry, market saturation, shrinking profit margins, and shifting consumer tastes. To maintain competition, there are nevertheless still chances to take advantage of economies of scale, brand equity, and customer loyalty. The review's insights deepen our understanding of how businesses may best manage opportunities and overcome obstacles to maximize product lifecycle management at various stages of maturity. By providing a comprehensive understanding of the existing body of knowledge, this review offers valuable insights for practitioners, managers, and researchers aiming to enhance product lifecycle management (PLM) strategies at the maturity level, ultimately contributing to the development of more resilient and adaptive business models and research gaps have identified that enabled to provide future research directions.\u0000","PeriodicalId":434269,"journal":{"name":"European Business & Management","volume":" 22","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-07-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141833259","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Berlianto","doi":"10.11648/j.ebm.20241001.12","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.11648/j.ebm.20241001.12","url":null,"abstract":"The research aims to identify whether leadership in various styles contexts such as entrepreneurship, empowering, operational, and architectural leadership impacts Generation Z's ability to deal with volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity (VUCA) in their work environment. The research method in this study is a literature review to identify dimensions of the competence of Generation Z in the four leadership styles in the VUCA context. The results of this literature review research indicate that empowering leadership plays a significant role in strengthening the skills of VUCA Generation Z. This approach encourages delegation of authority, supports development skills, and empowers Generation Z individuals to interact effectively within a VUCA environment filled with uncertainty and complexity. Apart from that, entrepreneurial leadership has also been proven to impact the abilities of VUCA Generation Z with a focus on innovation, controlled risk-taking, and exploration of new opportunities. Operational leadership emphasizes efficiency and orderliness and positively contributes to Generation Z's VUCA skills, although the VUCA environment is often uncertain. Lastly, architectural leadership focusing on organizational design and strategic vision helps Generation Z individuals understand the big vision and adapt to changes in the context. The implication is that by integrating these four leadership philosophies into the analysis, the study will aid in gaining a more accurate understanding of Generation Z's mentality. Organizations can be better equipped to handle the difficulties of the volatile and uncertain business climate by learning about the traits and expectations of Generation Z and cultivating the right kind of leadership. The mindset of Generation Z can be better understood. In addition, Generation Z must arm themselves with greater creativity and innovation to meet the challenges of an increasingly complicated business environment.","PeriodicalId":434269,"journal":{"name":"European Business & Management","volume":"153 ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-04-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140752206","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Every year millions of startup companies spring up worldwide. These startups have a great impact on the economies of countries in terms of new production and employment. The study aims include studying the concept of startups, examining major challenges facing startups in Nigeria, suggesting key solutions that will ease the pains of startups in Nigeria and identifying the recent efforts by the Government to ease the challenges of doing business in Nigeria. Data was collected from the primary source by using a structured questionnaire. The sample was selected using a stratified random sampling technique. The target respondents were business startups across various sectors of the economy and the year of operations between 1 to 3 years. Data were gathered electronically using Google form from 1078 respondents in Nigeria, out of which valid responses were 1065. Microsoft Excel was used for analysis. The study showed that lack of startup capital, lack of access to an accelerator and access to bank loans were strongly major factors of startup problems for businesses in Nigeria. The important factors for the successful business startup identified include the idea, training, marketing, business model, teamwork and timing were other factors for the success of businesses in Nigeria. Further research can be done on the solutions for startup businesses' access to funds, training, and marketing business models, among others, to sustain business growth in Nigeria.
