Debido a lo reciente de esta situación, son limitados los estudios relacionados. Este trabajo tuvo como objetivo principal describir en qué medida la situación de confinamiento afectó a los niños en su conducta, problemas de sueño y bienestar emocional. Un segundo objetivo fue identificar variables protectoras que puedan servir para paliar posibles efectos negativos por la situación en los niños. Un tercer objetivo fue estudiar la posible relación entre la percepción de gravedad y controlabilidad de los padres y las reacciones negativas en sus hijos. La muestra estuvo compuesta por 113 participantes españoles (70.5% mujeres) con hijos entre 3 y 12 años (51.8% niños). Los padres respondieron a un cuestionario online sobre las rutinas de los hijos durante la cuarentena, su bienestar emocional, problemas de sueño y su conducta. El 69.6% de los padres informaron que, durante el confinamiento, sus hijos presentaron reacciones emocionales negativas, el 31.3% problemas en el sueño y el 24.1% problemas de conducta. Los niños que invertían menos tiempo en el ejercicio físico y hacían mayor uso de pantallas presentaron un mayor número de reacciones negativas. Los niños con padres que hacían mayor uso de medidas de seguridad presentaron menos reacciones negativas. La percepción de riesgo y la gravedad de la situación por la COVID-19 no se relacionaron con las reacciones de los niños. Ante esta situación, las familias y sus hijos han tenido que adaptarse a nuevas rutinas y situaciones, lo que puede haber aumentado o agravado el padecimiento de sintomatología emocional. No obstante, la presencia de resiliencia y de estrategias de regulación emocional positivas, puede amortiguar este impacto en las familias con hijos pequeños. El objetivo del presente trabajo es conocer las variables que explicaban los problemas de ajuste emocional familiar ante la pandemia del COVID-19, teniendo en cuenta las díadas de progenitores y sus hijos adolescentes. Participaron 31 díadas de adolescentes entre 11 y 19 años (M =13.90; DT =1.85) y sus cuidadores principales, siendo el 93,50% madres. Tras aceptar participar en el estudio se evaluó la regulación emocional (Cuestionario de Regulación Emocional; ERQ), la resiliencia (Escala de Resiliencia de Connor-Davidson; CD-RISC) y la sintomatología ansiosa, depresiva y el estrés (Escala de Depresión, Ansiedad y Estrés; DASS). Se realizaron modelos de análisis comparativo cualitativo de conjuntos difusos (fsQCA). En la explicación del desajuste emocional de los cuidadores, el clima familiar negativo y las estrategias de regulación emocional deficientes en sus hijos fueron las variables más relevantes. En la explicación del malestar emocional de los adolescentes, lo fueron la baja resiliencia de estos y las estrategias deficientes de regulación emocional de sus padres. On this assumption, we first aimed to examine the predictive value of ER skills in relation to diverse indicators of behavioral and socioemotional adjustment. Then, we tested whether some of these associations could be partially explained through the mediator role of the specific parenting practices displayed within the pandemic context. These hypotheses were tested considering the previous levels of child reactivity as a potential moderator of the examined relations. Using parent-reported data from a sample of 874 Galician children (49.6% girls) aged 5 to 9 (Mage = 7.09; SD = 1.04), multiple regression and mediation analyses were conducted. Robust associations between ER skills and diverse indicators of child adjusment were found. Moreover, it was found that specific parenting practices mediate the relation between child ER skills and specific behavioral outcomes (i.e., child routine maintenance). Schools and social avenues have been placed on prolonged lockdowns, with people continuing to maintain physical distance. Adolescents and young people have had to endure significant stress alongside dealing with developmental characteristics. Amidst all of this, studies report an increase in gaming addiction and internet use with detrimental impact on psychosocial well-being. The aim of the present study was to examine the impact of lockdown on internet use in adolescents, comparing their habits from before the pandemic. Furthermore, this research aimed to investigate the relationship between gaming addiction, internet use and COVID-19 worries. Adolescents from several countries (e.g., India, Malaysia, Mexico and the UK) completed online questionnaires, shared via social media and youth networks. These measures included questions on internet, social media, gaming, depression, loneliness, escapism and COVID-19. Results show that adolescents generally have increased their use of social media sites and streaming services. Further, those who scored highly on gaming addiction, compulsive internet use and social media use also reported high scores of depression, loneliness, escapism, poor sleep quality and anxiety related to the pandemic. Our findings indicate that, regardless of country of residence, the COVID-19 outbreak has had a significant effect on adolescent internet use and psychosocial well-being. El segundo, discernir entre las diferentes presentaciones clinicas. Para ello se selecciono un grupo control compuesto por 31 sujetos y otro clinico compuesto por 95 sujetos diagnosticados de TDAH. En comparacion con el grupo control, el grupo clinico presento resultados significativamente mas bajos en los indices coeficiente intelectual total, memoria de trabajo y velocidad de procesamiento. Por otra parte, el grupo clinico presento puntuaciones en el indice de capacidad general significativamente superior a las del indice de competencia cognitiva. EnglishWork memory and processing speed evaluated through WISC-IV as keys in the evaluation of ADHD. The cognitive processes that are measured by the scale WISC-IV, which has most often been related to ADHD, Working Memory and Processing Speed. However, there is some controversy concerning the existence of a cognitive profile for ADHD that is related to whether its presentation is of the inattentive type or the combined type. The primary aim of this study was to corroborate whether there are correlations between the cognitive profile obtained through WISC-IV for our sample. The secondary aim of this study was to determine whether that profile allows to discern between the different clinical presentations by using a control group composed of 31 subjects and a clinical group consisting of 95 subjects diagnosed with ADHD. Compared to the control group, the clinical group presented significantly lower results in Intelligence Quotient, Working Memory Index and Processing speed Index. Desde el departamento psicopedagogico escolar se ha realizado el proceso de evaluacion y diagnostico del menor, ademas del asesoramiento al profesorado y la familia en la intervencion. Todo ello se ha llevado a cabo de una manera multidimensional y multicontextual, ofreciendo asi un papel activo en todo el proceso tanto de los docentes del centro como de la familia del menor. Se ha hecho acopio de tecnicas cognitivo-conductuales como la alabanza, el principio de Premack y la economia de fichas para modificar la conducta del menor, a la par que se ha realizado un programa de entrenamiento emocional para favorecer un ajuste socioemocional adecuado. Los resultados indican que la implicacion de los diferentes contextos contribuye a que la intervencion se ajuste mejor a las necesidades del menor, confirmandose la eficacia de las tecnicas empleadas para el tratamiento del TDAH y TND. A modo de conclusion se puede decir que la intervencion ha sido adecuada para el menor, pero el tiempo de implementacion se considera escaso EnglishAssessment and intervention in ADHD and ODD in the school context. In the present work the process performed in response to the needs found in a 6-year-old child, who presents attention deficit hyperactivity disorder with a comorbid oppositional defiant disorder is gathered. The process of evaluation and the diagnosis of the child as well as the advice in the participation to both, the teaching staff and the family has been developed from the school psychopedagogical department. All this has been implemented in a multidimensional and multicontextual way, that is, offering an active role in the whole process from both parts, the teachers of the centre and of the child’s family. We have implemented cognitive-behavioural techniques such as praise, the principle of Premack and token economy to modify inadequate behaviours of the child, meanwhile an emotional training program has been carried out to favour an adequate socio-emotional adjustment. The results suggest that the involvement of the different contexts makes the intervention be better adjusted to the needs of the child. The techniques employed showed to be efficient for the treatment of ADHD and ODD. Los adolescentes tienden a identificarse con diferentes grupos sociales que caracterizan sus estilos de vida. Estudios previos concluyen que la identificacion grupal es un predictor del consumo de drogas y otros comportamientos problematicos, pero puede no funcionar de la misma manera en todos los paises y en Espana no existen estudios al respecto con adolescentes. Este estudio examina la prevalencia de grupos de referencia entre los adolescentes espanoles y su relacion con el consumo de sustancias y otras variables psicologicas. La muestra estuvo compuesta por 791 adolescentes de nueve centros de educacion secundaria, con edades comprendidas entre los 14 y 19 anos (M = 15,03; DT = 1,01). Los resultados apoyan la existencia de grupos de identificacion grupal por parte de los jovenes. El grupo de alto riesgo informo de un consumo mensual significativamente mayor de cigarros y alcohol, y el grupo Otros informo de un consumo mensual mas elevado de marihuana, en comparacion con los otros grupos. En cuanto a las variables psicologicas, los jovenes con mayor consumo de drogas informan de una mayor preferencia por la busqueda de sensaciones y niveles mas altos de depresion. La autoidentificacion grupal es un fenomeno constante en los adolescentes entre los diferentes paises, pero, contrariamente a lo encontrado en estudios previos, los jovenes que no pertenecen claramente a un grupo definido son los mas propensos al consumo de cannabis. EnglishTeens tend to identify with social groups that characterize their lifestyles, interest in different musical styles and preference in specific activities. Previous studies conclude that group identification is a significant prospective predictor of drug use and other problematic behaviors but may not operate the same way in all cultures. There are no such studies that have been conducted in Spanish adolescents. This study examines the prevalence of self-identified group name research among Spanish adolescents, and its relationship between substance use and psychosocial constructs. The sample consisted of 791 Spanish adolescents from six secondary schools, aged between 14 to 18 years (M = 15.03; SD = 1.01). The results support the existence of group self-identification by youth. The High risk group reported significantly higher monthly cigarette and alcohol use, and the Others group reported higher monthly marijuana use. Regarding psychosocial correlates, youth with higher drug use report greater sensation seeking preference and higher levels of depression. Ser victima de ciberacoso puede crear un importante desajuste emocional y psicologico, afectando a areas tan importantes como la satisfaccion vital (SV). La presente investigacion presenta dos objetivos: analizar las relaciones entre cibervictimizacion, inteligencia emocional (IE) y SV; y examinar la IE como una posible variable mediadora en la relacion entre la cibervictimizacion y la SV. La muestra estaba formada por 731 estudiantes de Educacion Secundaria Obligatoria, Bachillerato y Formacion Profesional. Los participantes cumplimentaron tres escalas: la escala Wong and Law Emotional Intelligence Scale (WLEIS) para medir los niveles de IE; la escala European Cyberbullying Intervention Project Questionaire (ECIP-Q) para conocer los niveles de ciberacoso; y la escala Satisfaction with life Scale (SWLS) para medir los niveles de SV. Como se esperaba, los analisis de correlacion mostraron que la IE se relacionaba de forma positiva y estadisticamente significativa con la SV y que la cibervictimizacion se asociaba de forma negativa y estadisticamente significativa con la IE y la SV. Ademas, los resultados del analisis de mediacion indicaron que la IE (percepcion intrapersonal) mediaba parcialmente la relacion entre la cibervictimizacion y la SV. Cyberbullying has recently emerged as a new variation of school bullying which takes place in the cyberspace, becoming an important psychosocial problem and generating a significant impact on the adolescent individuals who suffer from it. Being a cyberbullying victim could lead to an important emotional and psychological imbalance, affecting significant areas such as life satisfaction (SV). The present research aim was twofold: to explore the relationships between cybervictimization, emotional intelligence (EI) and SV; and to test EI as a potential mediator variable in the relationship between cybervictimization and SV. The sample consisted of 731 students in grades of compulsory secondary education and Bachillerato (7th to 12th grades), as well as A level. The participants met three scales: the Wong and Law Emotional Intelligence Scale (WLEIS); the European Cyberbullying Intervention Project Questionaire (ECIP-Q); and the Satisfaction with life Scale (SWLS). As was expected, the correlation analysis showed that EI was statistically significant and positively related with SV, whereas cybervictimization was statistically significant and negatively related with EI and SV. La muestra se compuso por 61 adolescentes tutelados (el 50.82% eran varones) de entre 12 y 17 anos (M = 14.61; DT = 1.61) acogidos en centros residenciales de la provincia de Barcelona. Se administro una bateria de cuestionarios que incluia datos demograficos y escalas de inteligencia emocional, riesgo de suicidio y grado de satisfaccion de las necesidades psicologicas basicas. Veintiseis adolescentes (42.6%) presentaron altos niveles de riesgo suicida. Se objetivaron correlaciones significativas entre el riesgo de suicidio, la inteligencia emocional percibida (Atencion, Claridad y Reparacion) y las necesidades psicologicas basicas (Autonomia, Competencia y Relacion). Su principal necesidad psicologica fue la de Competencia que, al mismo tiempo, demostro ser la que mantiene una relacion inversa mas estrecha con el suicidio. Los adolescentes tutelados en centros residenciales presentan indicadores de riesgo de suicidio que deben ser abordados, entre los que destaca una marcada dificultad para afrontar las emociones. For decades the literature has demonstrated multiple psychological and emotional implications resulting from maltreatment in childhood. The present study aims to describe and analyze the relationship between suicide risk, perceived emotional intelligence (PEI) and the basic psychological needs (BPN) of adolescents in residential care. The sample was consisted of 61 adolescents (50.82% were boys) aged between 12 and 17 years (M = 14.61; DT = 1.61) living in residential care centers in the province of Barcelona. A series of questionnaires was administered that included demographic data and PEI, suicide risk and BPN’s satisfaction scales. Twenty-six adolescents (42.6%) reported high levels of suicide risk. Significant correlations were found between suicide risk, PEI (Attention, Clarity and Repair) and BPN (Autonomy, Competence and Relatedness). Competence was their main psychological need, which proved to be the one with the closest inverse relationship with suicide risk. El estudio actual analiza la efectividad del programa Wave by Wave, que combina el surf con una intervencion psicologica grupal, a traves de un ensayo controlado aleatorio. EnglishChildren and adolescents living in residential childcare have a higher prevalence of mental health problems as a result of a history of adverse childhood experiences. Therefore, this population should be a priority target for mental health preventive interventions. The current study analyses the effectiveness of the Wave by Wave surf therapy program, that combines surfing with a psychological group intervention, through a randomized controlled trial. Seventy-three youth (7-17 years) living in residential care participated in the study. Main mental health outcomes (adjustment problems, depression, anxiety, and wellbeing) and secondary outcomes (self-efficacy, self-regulation, sleep quality, physical activity, pro-social behavior, and social connectivity) were assessed at pre- and post-intervention. The results indicated a significant impact of the intervention on mental health outcomes reported by the key residential worker, with medium to large effect sizes.
