The study involved 226 patients (163 men and 63 women) with narcological disorders. The following scales were used: Socrates, DASS-21 and GSE. Using the Socrates scale, results were obtained indicating: 1) significantly higher scores on the Ambivalence subscale at the early and recovery stages of the TRP in patients diagnosed with alcohol dependence (p≤0.05); 2) significantly higher scores on the total score (p≤0.001), the Ambivalence subscale (p≤0.05), and the Action subscale (p≤0.05) (p≤0.05) at the restorative and stabilizing stages of LRP, typical for women. Evaluation of the features of the DASS-21 revealed: 1) the presence of signs of moderate depression in patients with drug dependence (p≤0.01) and mild stress (p≤0.01) at the early stage of TRP were determined; 2) at the restorative stage of TRP, a higher level of depression (p≤0.01), anxiety (p≤0.05) and stress (p≤0.001) was detected in the group of patients with drug dependence. The analysis of the results obtained will make it possible to provide targeted assistance to patients with drug use disorders and increase the effectiveness of psychological and psychotherapeutic interventions in clinical practice.","PeriodicalId":43238,"journal":{"name":"Psychology and Law","volume":"65 12","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.4,"publicationDate":"2024-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141710086","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The theoretical basis for the purpose of the work was provided by modern research, showing the versatility of the process of interpersonal interaction between adolescents and manifestations of aggression. The respondents of the study were teenagers from educational schools in Moscow, numbering 68 people aged 15-16 years. The empirical study used the aggressiveness test by L.G. Pochebut, “Aggressive behavior” methodology by E.P. Ilyin and P.A. Kovalev, interpersonal relations questionnaire by A.A. Rukavishnikov, emotional empathy questionnaire by A. Mehrabian, N. Epstein. The results of the empirical study established significant differences in the interpersonal interaction of adolescents prone to aggression. They are characterized by a desire to dominate, a lack of willingness to control their behavior, low selectivity and criticality in choosing communication partners, as well as a low level of empathy development. The obtained results can be used in work with adolescents aimed at creating favorable interactions among adolescents and reducing aggression.","PeriodicalId":43238,"journal":{"name":"Psychology and Law","volume":"2002 8","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.4,"publicationDate":"2024-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141707557","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

An empirical study has been conducted, the object of which is the heads of territorial internal affairs bodies at the district level and ordinary employees whose work experience is no more than one year. Having divided the respondents by levels of individual self-regulation and types of professional behavioral activity, an attempt was made to identify a correlation between these psychological characteristics and formulate forms of interaction with the professional activities of law enforcement officers. A correlation has been revealed between such psychological characteristics of the personality of employees of internal affairs bodies as the level of individual self-regulation and the type of professional behavioral activity, which act as determinants of the formation of their emotional states.","PeriodicalId":43238,"journal":{"name":"Psychology and Law","volume":"107 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.4,"publicationDate":"2024-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141706276","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The materials of an empirical study obtained on a sample of schizophrenia patients undergoing compulsory treatment in a psychiatric hospital are presented. The study involved male 62 patients aged 18 to 35 years. Methods of pathopsychological research: Dembo—Rubinstein’s “Self-assessment”, MMPI, “The level of subjective control” by Rotter, “Ways of coping behavior” by Lazarus, pathopsychological functional tests — “Exclusion of objects”, “Pictogram”. The pathopsychological features reflecting significant differences in the patients’ legal consciousness have been established. New psychological information confirms the need to personalize psychological support during compulsory treatment. The key aspects of psychological work aimed at the prevention of socially dangerous behavior are the consideration of the attitude of patients to the disease and to the committed offense, as well as their individual psychological characteristics in order to reduce maladaptive and criminogenic behavioral stereotypes and the transformation of defects of legal consciousness.","PeriodicalId":43238,"journal":{"name":"Psychology and Law","volume":"6 2","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.4,"publicationDate":"2024-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141700855","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The psychological mechanisms of this behavior are generalized and systematized, typologies of stalkers are presented, as well as the possibilities of using these typologies in the work of law enforcement agencies. The author’s position is substantiated that theoretical studies of stalking in Russia are in their infancy, and domestic theories explaining stalking are underdeveloped compared to other areas of clinical psychology. Consequently, there is a dearth of research on concepts that can guide the formulation of legal norms aimed at effectively countering stalking in Russia. It is substantiated that persecution is an independent type of criminal offense. Based on a study of foreign legislative experience and known typologies of stalkers, a definition of stalking as a crime is given.","PeriodicalId":43238,"journal":{"name":"Psychology and Law","volume":"17 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.4,"publicationDate":"2024-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141712821","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

At the same time, there is a shortage of questionnaires in Russian psychological science that allow obtaining information about social risk groups that differ in extreme beliefs and attitudes. To measure the propensity of a person to extreme views of a national, political and religious nature, the author’s test was designed and tested. The study involved 335 respondents aged 18 to 22 years, including 197 boys and 138 girls. Correlation analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, Cronbach’s coefficient α were used. t-criterion. The results of the approbation and psychometric analysis of the questionnaire are satisfactory, its verification using mathematical and statistical procedures shows compliance with the theoretical construct, indicators of internal consistency, substantive validity and retest reliability indicate the possibility of its use to measure the propensity to extreme views. It is actively studied on various professional samples, especially on representatives of socionomic professions (\"human-to-human\"). Over the last decade, early maladaptive schemas (EMS) have been found to be associated with burnout. Despite active research, data on both burnout and EMS in extreme psychologists are lacking. The present study was conducted on this particular sample, which is intended to fill the existing gap. Thirty-six extreme psychologists participated in the study, most of the respondents worked in the emergency department or with hospice patients. The full versions of the Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) questionnaire adapted by N. Vodopyanova for socionomic professions, as well as J. Young’s questionnaire for early maladaptive schemes in the adaptation of P. Kasyanik and E. Romanova. Using correlation analysis, it was found that most EMS were related to burnout. After analyzing the data obtained during the empirical study, an additional hypothesis, and an alternative set of techniques to test it were proposed. The results of the study may be of practical importance for burnout prevention in psychologists of extreme profile.","PeriodicalId":43238,"journal":{"name":"Psychology and Law","volume":"10 4","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.4,"publicationDate":"2024-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141848071","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The features of the establishment of predictors of professional success of the heads of internal affairs bodies, which allow predicting their success, are revealed. The professional success of the head of the internal affairs bodies is being investigated as a set of personal qualities related to objective indicators that ensure effective management of their activities. The personal resources of the head are identified, which, when carrying out professional activities that require high psychophysiological endurance, specific psychological qualities and skills, contribute to their success. The authors present an algorithm for forecasting and improving the effectiveness of managerial activities of the head, since the use of psychodiagnostics in predicting the success of the leadership of the law enforcement system is one of the most important tasks. Psychodiagnostic indicators of the success of managers are revealed at the stage of professional psychological selection, in the process of training and placement of personnel.","PeriodicalId":43238,"journal":{"name":"Psychology and Law","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.4,"publicationDate":"2024-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141705797","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The aim of the study was to build a probabilistic model for identifying disseminators of extremist-terrorist ideology. The subject of the study was behavioural characteristics and profiles of protective mechanisms of those convicted of extremist-terrorist crimes. The research methods were expert assessment of behavioural characteristics of convicts and the LSI (Life Style Index) test, which allows to determine behavioural and emotional features of an individual based on the defence mechanisms. Comparison of the behavioural characteristics of persons capable, according to the assessment of the staff, of spreading the ideology of violence, largely corresponded to the behavioural characteristics of the functioning of such defence mechanisms as projection, compensation and reactive formation. At the same time, the behavioural characteristics of individuals with a low probability of propagating extremist-terrorist ideology corresponded to the functioning of defence mechanisms: suppression, regression and intellectualisation. Further research is expected to identify the personal characteristics of inmates vulnerable to radicalisation in prison.","PeriodicalId":43238,"journal":{"name":"Psychology and Law","volume":"224 18","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.4,"publicationDate":"2024-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"141692805","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
