Thus, a cascaded IIR filter is utilized here for the EV charging system based on PV array, fuel cell stack and wind turbine sources. The satisfactory operation during the grid availability/unavailability is attained through the current and voltage based control mechanisms, along with the seamless transition capability via switching (STS-1/0) of the static transfer switches. Therefore, for adequate operation during modes associated with grid existence and non-existence, a cascaded IIR filter is utilized. Moreover, with respect to various weak grid conditions, adequate system performance is observed.","PeriodicalId":431406,"journal":{"name":"2022 IEEE Global Conference on Computing, Power and Communication Technologies (GlobConPT)","volume":"42 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127168703","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, a simple design is desirable for wearable IoT applications. In this direction, a single-stage LNA having considerable gain, stability, and noise figure (NF) for wearable IoT applications have been designed. An analysis of gain, noise factor, and stability for various values of gate voltage is performed to determine the utility and performance. The transistor used here is a Low Noise Gallium Arsenide FET and lumped components are used for matching at input and output side. It is found that the proposed LNA has 15.689 dB forward gain, a bandwidth of 1600 MHz and 0.672 dB Noise Figure at frequency 2.4 GHz that can be used for sensors operating in LS bands of frequencies. The LNA has been designed with fewer components in order to make it suitable for wearable IoT.","PeriodicalId":431406,"journal":{"name":"2022 IEEE Global Conference on Computing, Power and Communication Technologies (GlobConPT)","volume":"129 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126802904","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

An input folder circuit, DAB DC/DC converter, and output unfolder circuit comprise the proposed converter topology. This article analyzes soft-switching conditions and transformer current stress for DAB based SST topology at different load conditions and suggests an optimal control path. The proposed control path is created by choosing the ideal set of control variables, thus extending the ZVS range and lowering current stress. The traditional Phase shift modulation (PSM) method is compared with the proposed control strategy, and the results show improved performance. To verify the effectiveness of the suggested control technique, experimental findings from a scaled-down prototype are provided.","PeriodicalId":431406,"journal":{"name":"2022 IEEE Global Conference on Computing, Power and Communication Technologies (GlobConPT)","volume":"53 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127569822","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The losses of class E resonant inverters are estimated in this work by considering silicon (Si) and gallium nitride (GaN) MOSFETs. Further, the function of a class E inverter, analytical steady-state analysis, and modelling of power losses are demonstrated. Moreover, a comparative analysis of class E resonant inverter using Si and GaN MOSFETs is presented considering the higher operating frequency and a compromise between the device voltage and current stresses. The simulation analysis is done with the help of LTspice to validate the theoretical analysis. It is observed that using GaN MOSFET based class E resonant inverter is capable to reduce the losses by 5–6 % (approx.) compared with the Si MOSFET based class E inverter.","PeriodicalId":431406,"journal":{"name":"2022 IEEE Global Conference on Computing, Power and Communication Technologies (GlobConPT)","volume":"41 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130730297","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Usage of large number of switches in the conventional configuration causes a limitation which leads to the development of new topology with less switch count. This paper presents a development of Reduced Switch Single Source (RSSS) MLI which is capable of producing all voltage levels. The analysis of RSSS MLI is done using 15- level MLI which consists of very less number of components as compared with conventional topologies, thereby ensuring the reducing size, minimum switching loss and installation cost. The harmonic contents of output voltage is obtained and compared using carrier-based PWM technique. MATLAB/Simulink environment is used to validate the results.","PeriodicalId":431406,"journal":{"name":"2022 IEEE Global Conference on Computing, Power and Communication Technologies (GlobConPT)","volume":"59 50","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134225308","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The Diffie-Hellman (DH) model [1] was one of the historical mechanisms that allow two entities to communicate without prior knowledge. DH has known over time several variants dealing with different aspects (security, speed, etc). One of these variants is called S-SEJAD [2], which is a model we proposed to secure key exchange. In this paper, we propose an enhancement to this model in order to be able to unobtrusively share the AES key [3] as well as the p value and g value, which further secure the data exchange process. The obtained results show the performance of our model in terms of time and robustness.","PeriodicalId":431406,"journal":{"name":"2022 IEEE Global Conference on Computing, Power and Communication Technologies (GlobConPT)","volume":"74 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132945878","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This technology is critical in the fast-evolving app market, where app vendors hire edge servers to serve their users. To compete with others, each app vendor wants to employ the edge servers in such a way that it costs the least. Therefore, all app vendors need a solution that minimizes the cost of hiring edge servers. This paper proposes an Edge Server Hiring game (ESHGame), a game-theoretical approach to the problem that formulates it as a potential game. We demonstrate in ESHGame that app vendors collectively achieve at least one pure Nash equilibrium (PNE). We also set an upper bound on the price of stability in this game.","PeriodicalId":431406,"journal":{"name":"2022 IEEE Global Conference on Computing, Power and Communication Technologies (GlobConPT)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133323562","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Consequently, monitoring the different oscillatory modes resulting from an inverter-based generation's integration to a grid is of great concern. Most renewable energy sources operate based on maximum power point tracking (MPPT), because of economic reasons, since they are strongly dependent on weather conditions, which are intermittent and fluctuate. Battery energy storage systems (BESS) can provide a solution to the stochastic nature of renewable energy sources, because of a BESS's capability to store energy, support bidirectional energy exchange, provide geographical independence, and support fast output response. In this paper, a BESS along with a photovoltaic (PV) system are connected to a power grid via grid following and grid forming control architectures to study the oscillatory modes. A subspace identification method is used to identify oscillatory modes and their damping ratios from the measured voltage dynamics are obtained for the test system.","PeriodicalId":431406,"journal":{"name":"2022 IEEE Global Conference on Computing, Power and Communication Technologies (GlobConPT)","volume":"75 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121246278","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper presents a novel single-stage AC/AC converter topology for the solid-state transformer (SST), based on the LLC resonant converter. Four-quadrant ac switches are utilized on the primary side of the proposed converter to eliminate the folding bridge requirement and give a direct connection to the ac grid. Load-independent operation can be achieved by operating at the resonant frequency of the converter. Thin-film capacitors are used instead of bulky electrolytic capacitors to reduce the overall system capacitance and achieve high power density. Operating modes and soft-switching conditions are discussed in detail. Hardware prototype is developed to validate the operation of the proposed converter.","PeriodicalId":431406,"journal":{"name":"2022 IEEE Global Conference on Computing, Power and Communication Technologies (GlobConPT)","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129120632","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

All these applications are based on smart and tiny sensors. In many applications, information sensed by the sensor is useful, if its location is known. Therefore, the sensor node's accurate location is required in the monitoring region for realistic applications. In, a Wireless Sensor Network (WSN), finding the correct location of sensors is a challenging task. To overcome the shortcoming of DV-Hop, in this paper, modified differential evolution-based enhanced DV-Hop (DEEDV-Hop) is proposed. The proposed DEEDV-Hop has three phases, phase one is similar to the original “DV-Hop”, in the second phase, the hopsize of Beacon Nodes (BN) is calculated at Unidentified Node (UN) to reduce the energy consumption and at least three BNs is selected in the nearby vicinity of UN. For hopsize computation, only those BNs are selected which have their mutual hop distance close to the integer value of communication radius (R). Finally, the modified differential evolution (DE) algorithm is used to find the location of UNs. The adjustment factor is added to refine the hopsize. The simulation findings confirm that, when compared to existing localization schemes, our proposed technique enhances Localization Accuracy (LA) and minimizes Localization Error (LE), Localization Error Variance (LEV).","PeriodicalId":431406,"journal":{"name":"2022 IEEE Global Conference on Computing, Power and Communication Technologies (GlobConPT)","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-09-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129121074","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
