It recognizes the importance of territorial practices and the social occupational therapy field for the strengthening and support of populations with diverse conditions of vulnerability. Articulation of what was observed in the Timbó em Movimento and ResisTO projects with concepts such as the intersectionality of social markers of difference, their implications for the right to the city and their effects in the daily life of youths. The article elaborates the implications of social markers in the daily life of the participants, as well as the potential of collective reference spaces and intersectoral articulation to confront violence. It is concluded that the spaces of belonging have great relevance for addressing conflicts in the social field, promoting the participation of people and the exercise of citizenship, rejecting the tendency to seek individual solutions to collective problems. Remains the challenge of taking these dialogues to the daily contexts in which violence takes place, incorporating actors that may also be involved in its reproduction.","PeriodicalId":43119,"journal":{"name":"Cadernos Brasileiros de Terapia Ocupacional-Brazilian Journal of Occupational Therapy","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.8,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"67341087","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

From this education demand, a project was created in October 2020: “Communities of Practice in Occupational Therapy at SUAS: professional planning and construction of strategies” aiming to promote the exchange of knowledge and experiences between occupational therapists working in social assistance. This study aims to present the work possibilities and limits at SUAS from the point of view of occupational therapists who work at its units and who participated in the Community of Practice, analyzing whether and how their professional actions have been related to the social occupational therapy theoretical-methodological framework. To this end, all the recording material produced in the two project cycles from October 2020 to July 2021 was revisited. The collected information was organized in a table that grouped the themes found. Data analysis revealed two main aspects that allow the correlation of the professionals’ actions with the social occupational therapy theoretical-methodological framework, namely, the necessary interpretation of the inseparability between micro- and macro-social factors for the development of work and the professional and political dimensions of the occupational-therapeutic actions. In both debates, the social occupational therapy theoretical-methodological framework has been the guiding thread of the process, enabling a social reading and a greater understanding of technical-professional purposes within the scope of social assistance.","PeriodicalId":43119,"journal":{"name":"Cadernos Brasileiros de Terapia Ocupacional-Brazilian Journal of Occupational Therapy","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.8,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"67339655","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Learning everyday activities can increase the inclusive participation and quality of life of these people. Teaching strategies via professionals are described in the literature, while teaching via caregivers for these skills needs to be explored and becomes essential when considering that the increase in children with ASD is not accompanied by a proportional increase in qualified professionals, in addition to the fact that the parents deal directly with teaching these activities. Objective To elaborate and evaluate the application of a training package for caregivers of children with ASD, for teaching sandwich preparation and toothbrushing. Method Four caregivers participated. The teaching package included Instructional Video Modeling, Self-Monitoring, Delayed and Immediate Feedback. A performance accuracy criterion equal to or greater than 90% was adopted for two consecutive sessions. Results All caregivers showed an increase in performance accuracy after exposure to the training package components. One caregiver reached the accuracy criterion by going through just one component or a combination of them. Three caregivers necessarily needed to go through the combination of components and the feedback phases to reach the criterion. Conclusion Corroborating other studies, there was no significant difference in the performance of caregivers when comparing the components. As with previous studies, it is shown that the feedback phases played an important role in achieving the criterion. It is attested that the training package was satisfactory in teaching the caregivers.","PeriodicalId":43119,"journal":{"name":"Cadernos Brasileiros de Terapia Ocupacional-Brazilian Journal of Occupational Therapy","volume":"31 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135698888","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In Latin America, there are few works dedicated to building the understanding of professionals or their perceptions about leisure. There are even fewer studies that correlate the understanding of these professionals with occupational science on this occupation within the field of mental health. Objective To know the understanding of leisure by occupational therapists working in the mental health of public services that substitute the asylum psychiatric model. Methodology : This research was qualitative, descriptive and exploratory, with a cross-sectional design. A focus group and thematic analysis of information arising from the process of collective construction of occupational therapists, working in public services with a territorial base of urgency in mental health, in the city of Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil, on their understandings regarding leisure were used. Results Three categories emerged: (a) Leisure - pleasure; (b) Leisure - free choice; and (c) Leisure - transcendence of hardness. Conclusion Leisure is an important occupation for occupational therapists working in mental health in the territory; may find resonance in practices that encourage contractuality and autonomy, especially when combined with the principles of occupational science of valuing human doing in its variable ways of experiencing it. It is believed that this research can help occupational therapists and occupation scientists in understanding contemporary leisure, in dialogue with care in the territory and anti-asylum positioning.","PeriodicalId":43119,"journal":{"name":"Cadernos Brasileiros de Terapia Ocupacional-Brazilian Journal of Occupational Therapy","volume":"42 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134883497","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

El artículo abarca tres temas: primero, una breve contextualización sobre el conflicto armado colombiano y algunos de sus impactos. En la segunda parte, a partir de fuentes documentales, se intentan trazar los recorridos de la aproximación de la terapia ocupacional colombiana al conflicto armado. Se identifican tres momentos: prudente indiferencia, despertar lento y reconocimiento de la responsabilidad ético-política. Finalmente, se presentan algunos desafíos para contribuir como profesión a la construcción de paz en Colombia, entre ellos, la expansión y el fortalecimiento de la profesión para llegar a los territorios más afectados por el conflicto; el mejoramiento de la formación y de la práctica para responder a la complejidad de la situación del país, y la reflexión sobre los objetivos y las implicaciones éticas de las acciones profesionales con víctimas, excombatientes o comunidades afectadas por el conflicto.","PeriodicalId":43119,"journal":{"name":"Cadernos Brasileiros de Terapia Ocupacional-Brazilian Journal of Occupational Therapy","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.8,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"67340266","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Its history of providing open-setting follow-up for adolescent and young offenders and their families precedes the assumptions and guidelines of the Statute of the Child and Adolescent (ECA) of the Unified Social Assistance System and the National Socio-Educational Assistance System. COMEC has become a reference in the municipality of Campinas, state of São Paulo, Brazil in the execution of socio-educational measures of Assisted Liberty (AL) and Provision of Services to the Community (PSC) through the development of solid work in the field of social assistance. This study aims to present the trajectory of occupational therapy at COMEC from 1984 to 2022 through a university teaching-extension partnership conducted by the Occupational Therapy Course of the Pontifical Catholic University of Campinas. Since then, occupational therapists have composed the technical teams of AL and PSC as essential reference professionals to develop this work, as well as assumed management activities. Occupational therapy has contributed, in a powerful and diversified way, to offer a follow-up to adolescents, young people, and their families, and has accumulated experiences in the execution of socio-educational measures that can contribute to its repertoires of action.","PeriodicalId":43119,"journal":{"name":"Cadernos Brasileiros de Terapia Ocupacional-Brazilian Journal of Occupational Therapy","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.8,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"67341783","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Para tanto, tomamos a história oral de vida como metodologia de apreensão de dados, além de ferramentas da etnografia, como a observação. Os dados foram organizados a partir do conceito de modos de vida, à luz da perspectiva de Isabel Guerra, disposta em três eixos centrais: o sistema e os atores sociais; a história e o cotidiano; o objetivo e o subjetivo na percepção do real. Além disso, procedemos as análises por uma perspectiva interseccional, e os resultados indicaram que as imposições do sistema sexo-gênero-desejo operam desde as primeiras etapas da vida, numa engrenagem que articula diversos atores e instituições sociais, como também os acessos às condições concretas de operacionalização da vida. A forma pela qual essas imposições e limites são percebidos media as principais estratégias de enfrentamento, que agregam a reconfiguração da rede de suporte e a luta pelo reconhecimento, que, no caso das/os interlocutoras/es da referida pesquisa, deu-se através da educação e dos espaços do movimento social. A análise amparada no conceito de modos de vida ofereceu uma potente lente para reconhecer as demandas desse grupo, apresentando-se como possibilidade teórico-metodológica para a terapia ocupacional social.","PeriodicalId":43119,"journal":{"name":"Cadernos Brasileiros de Terapia Ocupacional-Brazilian Journal of Occupational Therapy","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.8,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"67338829","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The pediatric ward is one of the scenarios where these professionals act, providing services to hospitalized children and adolescents, as well as to their companions: their mothers. Objective To present the intervention of occupational therapists with accompanying mothers in pediatric wards and these professionals’ perception of the mothers’ contribution in this context. Method This is a descriptive, exploratory, qualitative study. 14 occupational therapists working with accompanying mothers in pediatric wards participated in this study. The data were collected through a self-administered questionnaire containing 39 questions available via Google Forms®, coded using the ATLAS.ti® 8.0 software, and analyzed by Content Analysis in its thematic modality. Results The data showed that occupational therapists assess the difficulties and needs of accompanying mothers during the hospitalization of their children, set goals that encompass the woman or the dyad, and perceive the contributions arising from their practice. The data also pointed out the models, techniques, resources, and theoretical frameworks used by these professionals in their interventions with the accompanying mothers, as well as the places made available by these institutions for this practice. Conclusion Occupational therapists fully help accompanying mothers during the hospitalization of their children. The results illustrate the occupational therapy intervention process with this population, from the evaluation, intervention, to the results observed by the professionals.","PeriodicalId":43119,"journal":{"name":"Cadernos Brasileiros de Terapia Ocupacional-Brazilian Journal of Occupational Therapy","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.8,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"67338867","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The latter is the subject of this study. Objective To identify the scope and challenges of synchronous virtual tutorials, carried out in the post-pandemic period, based on the experience and the opinion of occupational therapy professors, and students from a Chilean university. Methodology A mixed methodology is used; information is produced through a focus group with 11 professors and through a questionnaire answered by 76 students. Analysis of the thematic content of the qualitative data and descriptive statistics of the quantitative data is carried out. For the integration of the information produced, data triangulation is used. Results Synchronous virtual tutorials are useful for the acquisition of various types of learning such as the ability to articulate theory with practice. They are space that favors emotional support, offers mutual support to students, and allows the development of social thinking, reflection, and situated. Simultaneously, the findings show the preference by the students for individual learning over the need to produce learning and knowledge collaboratively in post-pandemic times. Conclusions It is suggested to have a significant number and variety of methodologies in synchronous virtual tutorials and that these consider the contexts in which professional practice is carried out.","PeriodicalId":43119,"journal":{"name":"Cadernos Brasileiros de Terapia Ocupacional-Brazilian Journal of Occupational Therapy","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.8,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"67339910","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
