Rice is at its peak of demand when its quality is good. Currently, the kind and quality of rice is determined through a naked-eye visual assessment approach. This method, however, is arduous, time-consuming, requires human skill, and is dependent on the inspector's physical health. To address these issues, this work introduces an automated system that uses digital image processing techniques to identify and classify rice grains. The image processing approach is the most appropriate since it is a non-contact technique that captures the picture of the rice grains. MATLAB is used to pre-process, segment, and extract features from the captured images. Using Neural Networks (NN) and Support Vector Machines (SVM) algorithmic classifications, the quality of rice is assessed based on the extracted features. The results indicate that SVM-based classification performs better than its counterpart based on our comparison study.","PeriodicalId":430809,"journal":{"name":"2022 International Conference on Communication, Computing and Internet of Things (IC3IoT)","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129775783","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Muscular dystrophy is seen in 1 among 3500 children from the age of 5 to 20. It is most commonly seen among boys. Treatment usually involves medication with different steroids and physical therapy. Our project focuses on physical therapy for MD patients. The device proposed here is a combination of an interactive gaming application which includes an imaginary figure running on a runway and to avoid hurdles present on the runway, and a brace with sensors as a complement to physiotherapy. The brace consists of an accelerometer sensor which detects the movement of limbs of the patient, degree of movement. The output from this sensor is given to gaming application using raspberry Pi 4 module. It supports multiple motion tracking technologies and the inputs from these sensors will assist the therapist analyse the performance of the patients and control parameters, like level of movement, patient psychology, analyse their improvement in exercise to advance the therapy appropriately. The therapist analyse the improvement in the functioning of the muscles based on the values shown from the accelerometer and score obtained in the game in the doctor interface.","PeriodicalId":430809,"journal":{"name":"2022 International Conference on Communication, Computing and Internet of Things (IC3IoT)","volume":"33 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127363976","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Indoor cultivation, contrary to traditional farming, offers protection from floods and droughts and more control over crops that are being produced. This enhanced control allows us to monitor, maintain and optimize the crops being developed. In this paper, various sensors and actuators are used to automate the whole system and optimize growth for the crops by monitoring and maintaining the growth parameters of the crop. This is made efficient with the use of Hydroponics, a method of soilless cultivation that allows for high efficiency in the usage of nutrients and water. We introduce presets that indicate the ideal growing conditions of various crop types to the system, which allows it to optimize conditions for the highest yield.","PeriodicalId":430809,"journal":{"name":"2022 International Conference on Communication, Computing and Internet of Things (IC3IoT)","volume":"69 3-4","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132330636","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Automation is one way to make air conditioner monitoring easier for bigger field-assembled systems. It was shown in this paper how a hardware model can be used to monitor machines and send their status to a control point. The control unit receives data from the particle Argon board, which monitors the environment. After monitoring the AC machine's status, temperature and vibrations are utilized to determine the status of an air conditioner. This technology uses real-time equipment vibration analysis and air-conditioning plant temperature to detect faults in large-scale air-conditioning system plants. The cloud platform can also be used to keep tabs on the efficiency of an air conditioner. We can save tens of millions of dollars a year by using this technique, especially in hot nations where air conditioning plants are prevalent, like Dubai and Qatar.","PeriodicalId":430809,"journal":{"name":"2022 International Conference on Communication, Computing and Internet of Things (IC3IoT)","volume":"63 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126678459","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The gyroscope relies upon the gestures of the head. Through gyroscope, a passage of data signal is obtained and it is processed with assist of aruino microcontroller. In three-axis gyroscope, one axis will govern the pace in ahead or backward course and different axis will alter the spinning mechanism. The microcontroller provided instructions to the robot to travel in the prefered direction. The primary working precept for the robotic is passage of the records indicators of gyroscope readings to the arduino board equipped on the bot. Here two different datasets were used from Kaggle. The proposed artificial neural network on classified data by ensemble classifier led to the generation of best accuracy. The proposed method can provide 100% accuracy with a good quality dataset. Whereas with poor quality data set also proposed method can provide 96.3% of accuracy. The cost of aluminium formwork is much costlier, so thin and lightweight aluminium sheets are used. With regard to the concrete filler, excess stress onto the formwoks causes bulging deformation. To avoid excessive stress, this formwork has to be monitored periodically. In this research, an attempt has been made to monitor the aluminium surface deformities by employing a microstrip patch antenna onto the surface. An omni - directional antenna for Aluminium substrate is designed to reconfigure with the stress applied, as the stress applied is directly proportional to its dielectric characteristics. With the information gathered from VNA, the stress level of the formwork is known to provide additional support, if necessary.
