The technology supporting Electric Vehicles (EVs) is rapidly developing towards improvement as the cost of EV components are reducing. Electric Vehicles (EV) are gaining more popularity as the conventional vehicles are affecting the environment drastically. In the proposed work, the State of Charge (SoC) of the EVs battery is displayed constantly and the nearest charging stations are displayed on the screen. From a list of suggested charging stations nearest to the EV driver, the screen in the vehicle will direct the driver to the slot booking website through which all the available slots are displayed. As EVs become more commercial, there will be a need to create an efficient slot booking system as the charging process can be time consuming and the need for more stations will be demanding. The proposed model of the booking system is designed to create a cost effective and efficient system.","PeriodicalId":426923,"journal":{"name":"2019 2nd International Conference on Power and Embedded Drive Control (ICPEDC)","volume":"201 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124514836","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In recent years, Fabry Perot based filters, polarization based filter and Bragg’s mirror based filters are cited in literatures for plasma diagnosis. Performance of these filters can be improved through optimization techniques like Particle Swarm optimization, Genetic Algorithm etc. However the major challenge lies in developing thin film optical bandpass filters for the desired Central WaveLength (CWL) and expected Full Width Half Maximum (FWHM). In this paper, a detailed literature survey is performed on the physics behind the design of optical band pass filters, optimization techniques and plasma diagnostics using optical filters.","PeriodicalId":426923,"journal":{"name":"2019 2nd International Conference on Power and Embedded Drive Control (ICPEDC)","volume":"109 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117196011","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The dynamic route discovery in AODV routing creates an unsecure transmission as well as reception. The reason for insecurity is the route request is given to all the nodes in the network communication. The possibility of the intruder nodes are more in the case of dynamic route request. Wormhole attacks in MANETs are creating challenges in the field of network analysis. In this paper the wormhole scenario is realized using high power transmission. This is implemented using energy model of ns2 simulator. The Apptool simulator identifies the energy level of each node and track the node of high transmission power. The performance curves for throughput, node energy for different encrypted values, packet drop ratio, and end to end delay are plotted.","PeriodicalId":426923,"journal":{"name":"2019 2nd International Conference on Power and Embedded Drive Control (ICPEDC)","volume":"149 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121486975","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this method of conversion, at first the AC is rectified into DC by rectifier and then using chopper, DC is varied as per the requirement of the load in buck or boost mode. The main drawback in the double stage conversion is that, as the stages of conversion increases the losses also increase proportionally. Moreover, it also decreases the efficiency of the converter and increases the cost. To overcome all these drawbacks, the conversion is done using single stage of conversion. This is achieved by connecting anti parallel of two buck-boost converters. One is operated in positive half cycle whereas another one is designed to operate in the negative half cycle. Simulation of the proposed work is carried through MATLAB/SIMULINK environment and prototype hardware implementation is carried through microcontroller to verify the real time performance.","PeriodicalId":426923,"journal":{"name":"2019 2nd International Conference on Power and Embedded Drive Control (ICPEDC)","volume":"146 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116507326","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Out of this, 40 GW is to be complimented by rooftop solar photovoltaic power plants. These targets are to be achieved by year 2022. But, till 31st May 2019, only 4.91% of the target set for rooftop solar photovoltaic is achieved. Despite the growth in renewable sector, achieving that target is still a challenge. This paper discusses the technical and economical analysis of a rooftop solar PV plant of 300 kW installed at Rajasthan Technical University, Kota, India. The study reveals the importance of simulating a solar PV power plant by using software before installation. HOMER software is used for the simulation of power plant. It is found that if high power rating modules are used instead of the presently installed modules, 61,608 kWh/year of additional energy can be generated. Levelized cost of electricity (LCOE) of the system (including energy imported from the grid supply) comes out to be ₹6.39/kWh, as renewable fraction is only 25.5% of the total load demand.","PeriodicalId":426923,"journal":{"name":"2019 2nd International Conference on Power and Embedded Drive Control (ICPEDC)","volume":"41 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125091287","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Much better utilization of natural resources has become great concern to reduce cost and for efficiency improvement. Frequent overcharging and over discharging leads to an early battery failure. The current flow in the electric batteries can be limited by a charge controller. Solar charge controller plays crucial role and ensures reliability, better performance and durability of the installed systems. This paper discuss the performance of a microcontroller based charge controller coupled with an solar Photovoltaic (PV) system for improving the charging and discharging control of battery. The lifespan of the battery can be improved by solar charge controller by preventing the overcharging and over discharging. The good performance of the charge controller and the power quality improvement is demonstrated in the results.
