Smith is the pioneer of the recognisance of economics as a social science. Thanks to the invisible hand mechanism, Smith argues that all economic activities in markets have no shortage of state intervention thanks to perfect competition. Markets consistently and spontaneously come to equilibrium at the full employment level via that. However, this mechanism is a myth, learned worldwide for years. Since the historical process, the state has always been at the stage in the constitution of a market order in economies. However, the underlined roles of the state have evolved correspondingly with the evolution of economic theories. In this context, the economic theories that have specified the general framework of economics are discussed in this paper. Eventually, it is concluded that the state always remains at the forefront of economies as a mechanism that backs up the formation of the market economy. Söz konusu göstergelerin de yolsuzluğun düzeyi üzerinde etkili olabilmesi, yolsuzluğun uzun vadeli olarak ele alınmasını gerektirmektedir. Bu bağlamda, çalışmanın amacı yolsuzlukla birlikte sosyoekonomik faktörler kapsamında OECD ülkelerinin nasıl kümelendiklerini ortaya koymaktır. Çalışmada 2014-2020 yıllarına ait yolsuzluk ve yolsuzlukla ilişkili seçilmiş değişkenler kullanılarak hiyerarşik kümeleme esas alınmış ve Ward Minimum Varyans yöntemi ile analiz edilmiştir. Elde edilen sonuçlara göre, OECD ülkelerinin iki ana kümeye ayrıldığı ve bazı ülkelerde benzerlikler bakımından yakınsamalar olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Miles ve Snow’un (1978) strateji tipolojisinin kullanıldığı ve iş stratejilerinin belirlenmesinde iki farklı ölçeğin esas alındığı çalışmada performans, niteliksel pencereden bakılarak algılanan örgütsel performans temelinde incelenmiştir. Araştırma verileri, Türkiye’de farklı sektörlerde faaliyet gösteren büyük ölçekli işletmelerden sağlanmıştır. Bulgular, performansın alt boyutlarından olan çalışan ilişkileri performansının, farklı stratejik tiplere göre anlamlı bir farklılık gösterdiğini ortaya koymaktadır. Therefore, recruiting and retention of IT professionals are vital for many organisations. The research data was collected from 361 IT professionals employed in 31 public institutions with large-scale IT units in Türkiye. The results indicated that 40.7% of public IT professionals are considering leaving their current jobs in Türkiye. It was observed that POS fully mediated the relationship between LMX and the turnover intentions of public IT professionals. BİST 100 Endeksi ve Kurumsal Yönetim Endeksi’nde bulunan firmaların 2009-2018 dönem verileri kullanılmıştır. Çalışma sonucunda, BİST 100 Endeksinde yer alan firmaların finansal kaldıraç oranı, aktif kârlılık ve şirket büyüme oranından olumsuz yönde, en büyük ikinci ortağın sermaye payı, şirket büyüklüğü ve varlıkların yapısı olumlu yönde etkilenmektedir. Araştırmada Halkbank, Vakıfbank ve Ziraat Bankasının 2005-2021 dönemine ait üçer aylık dönemsel verileri kullanılmıştır. Çalışmada literatürde ilk kez mevduat dolarizasyonu, bilanço içi para birimi uyumsuzluğu ve yabancı para türev ürünler olmak üzere dolarizasyon bağıntılı üç değişken birlikte ele alınmıştır. ARDL sınır testi yaklaşımı ile elde edilen bulgular her üç değişkenin de kamusal sermayeli mevduat bankalarında kârlılık üzerinde istatistiksel olarak anlamlı etkileri olduğunu ortaya koymaktadır. Therefore, we aim to explore the gig contracting influencing factors in Information Technology. We propose a conceptual framework using Structured Equation Modelling to ascertain the relationship between Human Resource Management and gig work contracting mediated through a sustainable digital economy. Based on a specifically designed survey, employers’ most significant hurdles were the competitiveness level, the extended hours when one was logged in, and late-night delivery. The incentives were not strong influencing factors for Gig contracting. The Granger method was used to measure the variables in the study, including daily data from the 12th of September 2012 to the 12th of September 2022. The results revealed a one-sided relationship between the BIST Food and Beverage Index and the stock values of Coca-Cola İçecek company. To this aim, we adopt Propensity Score Matching (PSM) and Difference-in-Differences (DID) techniques to construct treatment models. The results show that exporting encourages firms’ employment significantly. Uğur, Ali Eren Alper","doi":"10.17233/sosyoekonomi.2023.03.02","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.17233/sosyoekonomi.2023.03.02","url":null,"abstract":"This study aims to investigate the purchasing power parity (PPP) hypothesis for 38 OECD member countries over the period 1994:M1-2021:M9 by performing Hepsag’s (2021) unit root test. It fills the gap in the literature since it is one of the first studies conducted performing a unit root test that considers structural change and nonlinearity for all OECD countries.
