In this paper, we review six software metric selection methods based on external measurement that encouraged human judgment as an initial work towards a structure software metric selection model development. Hence by so doing, their weaknesses would be highlighted with a view to introducing other methods which offer better and more efficient benefits. Membrane computing (MC) is a versatile, non-deterministic and maximally parallel computing device which was inspired by the functioning of living biological cells. The aim of this article therefore is to take a deeper look at concepts within Network security systems (NSS) and especially that of membrane system. Furthermore, based on the inherent benefits of MC and areas where it has been applied successfully, we (i) project a link between it and NSS and (ii) propose MC as an alternative veritable tool towards solving some of the problems of NSS such as packet dropping in Intrusion Detection System (IDS) which usually emanates from systems' inability to handle large traffic data. The hidden information would be the important information which describes the copyright of the audio file. In this research, the binary data is inserted or hidden into the audio file by multicarrier modulation technique data hiding. The encoded binary data by convolutional encoding is modulated by multicarrier frequencies before embedding into the host audio. For detecting the error data extraction, CRC bits are inserted into the encoded data. A special wire-plane electrode geometry were manufactured for the test. The obtained experimental results indicate that the addition of the nanoparticles has a positive impact on the resistance to electrical treeing. Braille letters is touched and read using fingers, therefore the sensitivity of the fingers is important. Those characters need to be memorized, so it is very difficult to be learned. The aim of this research is to create a braille characters recognition system and translate it to alpha-numeric text. Webcam camera is used to capture braille image from braille characters on the paper sheet. Cropping, grayscale, thresholding, erotion, and dilation techniques are used for image preprocessing. Then, find contour method and image recognition lookup table method are used to recognize the braille characters. Usually those pairs of transform and its inverse are defined independently. This paper introduces a framework for defining functional representations of signals, by defining signals as distributions of impulses. Within this framework, various transformations can be derived from various definitions of impulses. This impulse distribution term is used in an inverse formula, and then rearranged such that kernel term can be identified. This kernel term is then selected for the transform formula. When the newly obtained transform formula is reapplied into the integral superposition, we have a simplified final form of the inverse formula. In this paper we have applied the framework to derive various well known transforms, such as Fourier, Laplace and z. We should be able to rediscover other transforms such as Hilbert, Mellin, and Wavelet using a similar approach. Effort in preventing cardiovascular disease with early detection approach is more effective way to decrease population suffered from cardiovascular disease. Photoplethysmogram (PPG) is blood volume measurement method based on optic principle. Volume change caused by vessel pressure can be detected with illuminating skin by the light from photodiode. PPG sensor parameter such as Augmentation Index, Stiffness Index and Age index can be used to measure quality of human blood vessel. This work developed a device for early detection of cardiovascular with PPG signal. Signal received will be proceed and transmitted wirelessly through smartphone/tablet device by Bluetooth. Developed application in smartphone/tablet based on Android platform is designed with easily interpretable and attractive user interface targeting common people. Furthermore, this application is completed with many features that can optimized user experience in this PPG signal interpretation based on previous work. Medication use that causes harm is known as Adverse Drug Events (ADE). Medication reconciliation is one of the prevention strategies of medication errors. However, the challenges and barriers in its implementation include an inefficient medication reconciliation process. A lean method is increasingly used in healthcare to optimize process flow. This paper aims to identify waste in medication reconciliation processes, in order to reduce ADE and improve safety. Irrelevant, redundant, noisy and unreliable data, misinterpretation of results and incompatibility of a technique to extract unknown patterns from data may lead analyst to develop an erroneous classifier. This research is encouraged by `No Free Lunch' theorem that can be simplified as no classification technique that works best for every problem. This study tries to make a comparison amongst three main approaches in data mining, i.e. Decision Tree (DT), Artificial Neural Network (ANN), and Rough Set Theory (RST). A comparative analysis of the above techniques has been conducted by using open source's software ROSETTA and WEKA on five different datasets. The sample sizes are categorized in relation to the number of attributes and number of instances available in the dataset. Assessments on the classification model are based on accuracy, amount and length of the generated rules, error rate and standard deviation. Based on nine experiments, results show that Artificial Neural Network provides better accuracy than Decision Tree and Rough Set approach while Rough Set creates more rules and Decision Tree generate rules faster than the compared techniques. The added value is an integrated solution for robotic 3D mapping and new publicly available datasets (accurate 3D maps with geodetic precision) for evaluation purpose Datasets were gathered by mobile robot in stop scan fashion. Presented results are a variety of tools for working with such datasets, for task such as: preprocessing (filtering, down sampling), data registration (ICP, NDT), graph optimization (ELCH, LUM), tools for validation (comparison of 3D maps and trajectories), performance evaluation (plots of various outputs of algorithms). The tools form a complete pipeline for 3D data processing.
