There are three subsystems: stereo vision system, 10 DOF dual arm manipulator and two-wheeled mobile robot. The whole system can be seen as an inverted pendulum. When the robot reaches the stable state, the centroid of the whole system is in the perpendicular line of the central point of mobile robot platform and ground. The target object can be tracked using CamShift algorithm. The size, position of the object, and the distance between the object and mobile manipulator can be obtained with visual servoing. A stereo vision system with image based visual servoing (IBVS) is proposed in this paper.","PeriodicalId":425822,"journal":{"name":"2013 Seventh International Conference on Image and Graphics","volume":"122 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-07-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131584381","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Inspired by the fact that spatial and temporal information are both important for foreground detection, a spatial-temporal image patch, namely brick, is used as atomic unit for online subspace learning and sparse representation. Furthermore, Random Projection emerged from Compressive Sensing theory is applied to reduce the dimension of bricks so as to speed up the algorithm. Some examples are the region-scalable fitting (RSF) model and the local image fitting energy (LIF) model. But they suffer from the high computing complexity and instability. Recently, the globally convex method and the split Bregman method are introduced to overcome this problem. In this paper, a globally convex version of the LIF model is proposed and then the split Bregman method is used to solve the model. Experiments show that this model is more efficient than the RSF model and the LIF model while with similar segmentation results.","PeriodicalId":425822,"journal":{"name":"2013 Seventh International Conference on Image and Graphics","volume":"48 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-07-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131712012","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Firstly, the strong edge as well as binary image is obtained respectively by grey prediction and Nib lack algorithm, and then the connected graph is emerged by edge linking algorithm. Combined it with the Regions of Interest (ROI) which are calculated by grey correlation degree, the edge of fiber is appeared. The flooding algorithm and contour tracking method is used to get the fiber's outer contour, based on it and ROI, the enhanced fiber image is computed. Finally, the edge detected algorithm found on directed graph is applied to extract the edge of fiber, and the complete edge is gained after the burr is eliminated. The experimental results show that the algorithm cannot only resist noise very well, but also determine complete edge, as well as improve the detection accuracy. Compared with Canny operator, it has better continuity and overcomes the phenomenon of double edge.","PeriodicalId":425822,"journal":{"name":"2013 Seventh International Conference on Image and Graphics","volume":"59 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-07-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128208979","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The greatly mining activities in the south of GanZhou(Gannan) were occurred disorderly and illegally using the traditional extraction way, which brought out the dreadful environmental influence. In this study, the SPOT5 multispectral data was used to recognize and classify the destroyed land from mining activity. It was found that the most mining areas were located dispersedly, covered the area of 60.97km2 in total with 524 sites, which accounted for 3.03% of the whole study area. There were 513 patches of destroyed area less than 1 km2 distributed in the southwest of the study area. The results indicated that the mining integration should be concerned in this region and mining plan for further environmental protection.","PeriodicalId":425822,"journal":{"name":"2013 Seventh International Conference on Image and Graphics","volume":"54 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-07-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132448297","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The key of relative radiometric correction is to accurately select pseudo-invariant features (PIFs). This process should be automatic. Slow feature analysis is a new learning algorithm to extract invariant feature from input signals. It is appreciate to separate the unchanged pixels. We apply iteration process to assign high weights to unchanged pixels. After convergence, the linear function is calculated directly with all the pixels and their weights. The experiment demonstrates that our automatic relative radiometric correction method can get a good performance.","PeriodicalId":425822,"journal":{"name":"2013 Seventh International Conference on Image and Graphics","volume":"121 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-07-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133615033","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Intersecting operator of line segments is an essential and crucial operation in these approaches. It consists of two phases: intersecting operator in 2D and overlap testing of the set of line segments in real domain. The former has made considerable progresses while the latter remains insignificant status when there are complex objects in the scene. In order to accelerate the speed of reconstructing visual hulls, this paper addresses the problem and proposes a novel approach based on contribution weights which reflect viewing ray's contributions to the visual hulls.
