One of them was a public consultation on the development of the Taman Botani Kutai Timur. This activity aimed to find out the recent conditions and potential developments that can be reached from Taman Botani as a green open area. The activity was carried out through focus group discussions, presenting researchers and practitioners from parties representing the central government, provincial governments, district governments, relevant government institutions, academics, community institutions, and other interested communities. The meetings held revealed that Taman Botani has potential to be developed for the better. One of the suggestions that emerged was to develop it into a regional botanical garden. Otherwise, its successful development requires a strong commitment from the local government regarding policy formulation and funding allocation. In addition, the development of Taman Botani requires monitoring from the community in the form of policy advocacy.","PeriodicalId":424140,"journal":{"name":"Agrokreatif: Jurnal Ilmiah Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121483095","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The implementation stage begins by providing counselling regarding the cultivation of gourami in circular ponds, followed by the provision of circular ponds as another option for cultivation so that the cultivators do not experience many losses. As a result of the activity, the cultivators switched to circular ponds. Hence, water quality is more controlled, stocking density, more efficient and effective feeding, there are no dead spots in circular ponds so that fish is always moving. Dirt is not concentrated in one point and, pests can be tackled faster because water is controlled, and pests are quickly controlled, the mortality rate is low. As a result, the maximum yield of gourami fish is within four months. The circular ponds are different from conventional ponds, where water conditions are not optimally controlled so that pests cannot be predicted and are slow in pest management so that the mortality rate is high.","PeriodicalId":424140,"journal":{"name":"Agrokreatif: Jurnal Ilmiah Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127965218","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

There need efforts to increase land fertility to increase rice production. One way that can be done is utilizing local microorganisms (MOL) to improve the soil quality. Therefore, productivity can be increased. Community development activities were aimed to socialize the use of MOL in increasing rice production. Community development activities were carried out on January 20-April 20, 2020, at the Dadi Rukun farmer group association (Gapoktan), Sukolilo Village, Jiwan District, Madiun, East Java. The method used is to make a demonstration plot (demplot) of rice production using MOL in the residents' rice fields about 3000 m2. The demplot was given with three kinds of treatment, they were organic fertilizer 200 kg ha-1 with MOL application, 50% an-organic fertilizer (75 kg ha-1 NPK dan 75 kg ha-1 urea) with MOL application, and 100% an-organic fertilizer (150 kg ha-1 NPK dan 150 kg ha-1 urea) without MOL application. Each treatment was repeated 3 times. Apart from using the demplot, socialization activities were also carried out by holding meetings between farmers and field extension workers, practitioners from academia and students who carry out fieldwork practices (PKL) in the village. Feedback in the form of farmer responses is given before and after the end of the activity as evaluation material for the success of the program. The experimental results showed that there was no significant difference in the rice production variables in the three treatments. MOL can be used as an alternative to liquid organic fertilizer to support rice production. Community empowerment activities carried out greatly affect changes in knowledge, perspectives, and skills of farmers in making and utilizing MOL to support rice production so that assistance efforts must continue to be improved.","PeriodicalId":424140,"journal":{"name":"Agrokreatif: Jurnal Ilmiah Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat","volume":"541 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124265722","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
