{"title":"Prediction of potential errors of height anomalies of global geoid models for different tidal systems","authors":"A. Fedorchuk","doi":"10.33841/1819-1339-1-47-58-68","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.33841/1819-1339-1-47-58-68","url":null,"abstract":"The article presents the method of predicting the errors of height anomalies obtained from high-order global geoid models (EGM_2008, EIGEN_6C4, GECO, XGM2019e2159, SGG_UGM_2) and taking into account different tide systems (free/zero/mean-tide). A correct understanding of how much the choice of the global model height tide system affects the accuracy of calculating the normal heights of the Earth’s physical surface is an important component for obtaining reliable results. The purpose of the work is to predict the potential errors of height anomalies for three main concepts of tidal corrections (tidal systems) used in the creation of global geoid models. Method. The essence of the prediction method is to find a connection between the height anomalies of the global geoid models and the PL-quasi-geoid2021 regional quasi-geoid model. On the basis of the established connection, the prediction of potential errors of height anomalies was made, taking into account the choice of one or another system of tides. The prediction of the errors of height anomalies is implemented on the basis of 200 GNSS stations located on the territory of Ukraine and in the border sector. To find the connection between the heights of the global geoid models and the PL-quasi-geoid2021 regional model, a territory was allocated in the western border sector measuring 48°-52° in latitude and 21°-25° in longitude. For 36 GNSS stations located in the border area, a scale coefficient between global and regional height anomalies was found. Results. In the border sector, the factual errors of height anomalies are estimated at the level of 0.01-0.03 m based on the standard deviation and at the level of the mean square deviation of 0.17–0.18 m, 0.15-0.16 m, and 0.08–0.09 m for the free, zero and mean-tide systems, respectively. The standard deviations of the predicted potential errors for the border sector were 0.02-0.03 m, and the mean square values were 0.17–0.18 m, 0.13 m and 0.06 m for similar tidal systems. The residual errors of height anomalies for the border sector amounted to 0.03 m according to the standard and mean square deviation. Assessment of accuracy prediction of potential errors of height anomalies of models EGM_2008, EIGEN_6C4, GECO, XGM2019e2159, SGG_UGM_2 carried out on the basis of 200 GNSS stations was 0.03 m by standard deviation and 0.15 m (free-tide), 0.13 m (zero-tide) and 0.06 m (mean-tide) by mean square value. Scientific novelty. First implemented was the prediction of potential errors of height anomalies of global geoid models, which was performed by the scale factor for GNSS stations located on the territory of Ukraine and taking into account different tidal systems. Practical significance. The predicted errors of height anomalies make it possible to calculate the normal heights of GNSS stations and points on the Earth’s physical surface with an accuracy of about 3 cm. The obtained results allow the use of height anomalies of global geoid models of high orde","PeriodicalId":422474,"journal":{"name":"Modern achievements of geodesic science and industry","volume":"508 4","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140757994","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The aim of the study is to propose combinations of remote research methods for objects of historical and cultural heritage in conjunction with non-invasive ground-based investigations. The study includes testing the proposed methods on various plane objects of historical and cultural heritage. Methodology. To achieve the set goal, a list of remote and non-invasive ground-based methods for comprehensive investigation of historical and cultural heritage objects was proposed. Remote methods include: satellite optical-electronic imaging, satellite radar imaging, aerial imaging (from manned aircraft and UAVs), laser scanning (terrestrial and aerial LiDAR imaging). Non-invasive ground-based research methods encompass: ground-penetrating radar imaging, ground electromagnetic tomography, ground metal detection studies. Additionally, a cartometric method was proposed as a supplementary technique. Results. The research presents graphical materials and plans resulting from investigations on fraternal burials in Brukhovychi near Lviv, fraternal burials in Nityshyn village, results of the Lviv Citadel and concentration camps research. Various types of plane historical and cultural heritage objects such as fraternal graves, defensive structure ensembles, concentration camps were chosen for the research to demonstrate how comprehensive investigations of different combinations of remote and non-invasive ground-based methods work on different objects. From the proposed general list of methods, the following were used in the research and their combinations: satellite optical-electronic imaging, satellite radar imaging, aerial imaging from manned aircraft (archival), ground-penetrating radar imaging, cartometric method. Practical Value. The application of remote methods for researching historical and cultural heritage objects has numerous practical advantages. Remote and non-invasive methods allow gathering data about objects without direct physical impact on them, crucial for objects requiring careful conservation. These methods facilitate creating virtual tours and archives, making cultural heritage information accessible to a wider audience regardless of their location. Some objects may be in remote or restricted areas; using drones, satellite imagery, and other methods allows investigating them safely and effectively. Analyzing changes in object appearance over time, identifying potential threats to them, aids in taking measures for their preservation and restoration.","PeriodicalId":422474,"journal":{"name":"Modern achievements of geodesic science and industry","volume":"296 ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140765206","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The study compares Ukrainian and foreign research methods, highlights their advantages and disadvantages. The legislative framework for geodetic support for restoration of buildings on the territory of Ukraine has been analyzed. As international experience has shown, geodetic surveys are an effective tool for assessing the destruction of buildings as a result of military operations. The study is aimed at evaluating the structural integrity on the example of the shopping and entertainment center “Nikolskyi” in the city of Kharkiv. Geodetic methods used to assess structural damage are reviewed, and an overview of the results of these damage assessments is provided. It is investigated how geodetic surveys can be used to assess structural damage in buildings. The purpose of the article is the study of geodetic works and methods of geodetic support for restoration works of the shopping center building. To achieve the goal, the following tasks were performed: analysis of previous experience in this area; the choice of the method of geodetic provision of restoration works; presenting the results of geodetic measurements; interpretation of the obtained results. Method. To obtain research results, special methods are used: constructive and substantive analysis – for the formation of research directions; analytical methods – to process the results of the shooting; mathematical modeling – to determine the amount of destruction and damage to the building. A Leica Geosystems TCRP 1205 tacheometer and other geodetic equipment were used in the study to assess the structural integrity of the shopping center. The combination of geodetic measurements with the use of tacheometers is an important area of application of tacheometers in similar tasks. In addition, classical surveys, using total station geodetic measurements, were performed in conjunction with an automatic strain monitoring system to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the structural integrity assessment. Therefore, using the specified devices, it is possible to accurately measure and analyze the structural integrity of the shopping center. Scientific novelty and practical significance. The scientific novelty of the conducted research consists in the creation of modern approaches to geodetic support for restoration works of buildings that were destroyed as a result of military operations. Original methods of geodetic surveying and a modern instrument base from NVP “Navigation and Geodetic Center” are applied. The proposed geodetic studies demonstrate the effectiveness of using geodetic measurements to assess structural damage to buildings. Deformation values obtained with the help of geodetic studies helped determine the volumes and technology of restoration, which provides important information for engineering works. The methodology is based on the collection of a cloud of points by ground laser scanning and the acquisition of a cloud of points on the same object by the photogrammetric method based on data taken from a UAV. The formation of the resulting three-dimensional model is performed according to the most reliable data from the point of view of geometric accuracy. The results. Each of the point cloud acquisition methods (UAV or laser scanning) has its advantages for certain parts of the building. Thus, the modeling of the upper part of the building, sloping and complex roofs is best performed based on the data taken from the UAV, vertical walls and the elements placed in them (windows, decoration elements, etc.) – based on point clouds obtained from laser scanning. Scientific novelty and practical significance. The method of processing point clouds obtained from various sources on the basis of free software was tested. The approach discussed in the article has significant potential for use in many branches of the national economy. It is a critical component of any modern geographic information system (GIS) and is used in a wide range of applications, including land management, environmental monitoring, and emergency response. One important aspect of SDI is the legal component, which includes the laws and regulations that govern the collection, use, and sharing of spatial data. These laws and regulations can vary depending on the jurisdiction and can include issues such as data ownership, privacy and intellectual property rights. In the Republic of Armenia, with the concept of “Integrated Cadastre”, it is planned to implement and develop a National Spatial Data Infrastructure (NSDI). Nevertheless, in the Republic of Armenia, not all stages of the implementation of NSDI have been developed yet, including a legal document defining the availability of data at different levels. For the implementation and effective policy development of NSDI, it is necessary to give attention to the regulation of legal relations regarding spatial data at different levels. For this purpose, we studied the legal documents related to the regulation of the field of spatial data in the Republic of Armenia, identified the contradictions and problems in the existing legal documents, which made it possible to highlight the necessary relevant legal provisions.","PeriodicalId":422474,"journal":{"name":"Modern achievements of geodesic science and industry","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121554439","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Method. Allotment of land plots of apartment buildings residential areas is important both for the residents of these buildings and for local self-government bodies, especially in large settlements with existing dense buildings. These works are accompanied by the use of a significant number of regulatory and legal acts of Ukraine, in which there are some inconsistencies regarding the right to use such a plot of land and the content of the relevant land management documentation. Taking into account who owns the apartment buildings, three options are defined for allocating land plots for private ownership, permanent use or rent. The results. Methodical approaches have been developed that make it possible to divide all apartment buildings into three groups depending on who owns them. Taking into account the established properties of apartment buildings, proposals were developed for determining the right to use the relevant land plots, simplifying the requirements for relevant land management documentation, and establishing objective information for calculating rent. The proposed approaches can be used in all cities of Ukraine. Scientific novelty and practical significance. The presented research results provide an opportunity to determine methodical approaches to establishing rights to the adjacent territory of an apartment building and to specify the content of the relevant land management documentation.
