The altruistic user behavior and the isolation of malicious users are fundamental requirements for the proper operation of any cooperative network. However, the introduction of new communication techniques that improve the cooperative performance (e.g., network coding) hinders the application of traditional schemes on malicious users detection, which are mainly based on packet overhearing. In this paper, we introduce a non-parametric statistical approach, based on the Kruskal-Wallis method, for the detection of user misbehavior in network coding scenarios. This paper presents a new vehicle type recognition method using feature encoding combined with Convolutional Neural Network (CNN). This method uses the CNN to learn the properties of the high-level image features. It is able to largely compensate the information loss if we use feature encoding solely. By contrast, to achieve satisfactory classification results, feature encoding algorithms do not need a large number of training samples. Thus, it can help CNN reduce the number of training samples. In terms of cost and benefit, it is obvious that cloud services lowered investment cost and fixed cost for businesses. Thus, an economic perspective towards cloud services is required for strategic decisions. In this paper, a preliminary evaluation of cloud services was presented, and the common economic issues were identified. Regarding to these issues, the latency was addressed from the economic perspective, and a testing environment was created and implemented in 5 different cases. The results were given in the paper outlining impact of latency in terms of concurrent users and bandwidth allocation. In order to avoid erroneous results, we need to add a nonnegative constraint on the parameter to be estimated. In this paper, we propose a novel distributed diffusion nonnegative LMS algorithm with regularization for estimating some specific parameter. The algorithm keeps the non-negativity of all components in the parameter in the adaptation process. One used discrete Fourier transform (DFT), d-q axes theory, p-q Instantaneous Reactive Power (IRP) theory and Sinusoidal Signal Integrators (SSI). MATLAB/Simulink software is used because it provides specialized tools in order to design, implement and simulate these algorithms. Afterward they are implemented in a real-time setup using a digital signal processor (DSP) based solution with dSPACE controller board. For the performance comparison one used criteria like total harmonic distortion (THD) and unbalance of detected fundamental current, run time for the DSP, settling time, transient performance and overshoot. The EV is driven by two 30 kW permanent magnet synchronous motors. The HESS contains a Li-Ion battery and an Ultra-Capacitor (UC) sources. In extreme braking conditions, the UC should be able to recover all the power delivered by the motors. When the maximal state of charge of the UC is achieved, the energy will be then recuperated by the battery. The introduction of a braking resistor would help the system to respect the voltage and current constraints and to protect the battery. This paper will validate the combination of the designed controllers ensuring the switching between the storage and dissipative elements while respecting the electrical constraints of the overall system, in particular for critical braking conditions. Such a telemedicine system links up remote communities from one building to another in hospital environment. The network configurations of the high frequency microwave system are illustrated in details. Key advantages such as high capacity, long propagation distance, and wide range of frequency bands are described. The high frequency PtP serves as a repeater so that paramedical staff or nurse(s) may receive data at appropriate time. Hence important tasks such as first aid, doctor's diagnosis and instructions to patients may be performed through the telemedicine system. This paper describes the design of a telemedicine system based on a high linearity Ku-band transmitter module that can improve the capacity (data rate) as well as increased the propagation distance. The module operates between 13 ∼ 15.5 GHz and achieves 25 dB of gain and 33 dBm of output power at 1dB gain compression. Shutdowns are forced by abnormal situations, e.g. unexpected equipment faults such as valve or pump faults. Each unexpected fault can lead to hazardous situations within a plant. Pumps are already well analyzed compared to valves and also frequently used in process industry. In this paper a data-driven fault detection system for valves will be introduced. To gain additional knowledge about faults of specific equipment, big data technology is applied, based on a huge number of historical data for different valves. The paper introduces an approach in which data from different competitive companies operating several process plants are filtered, selected and combined with data from equipment manufacturers. While high bit index is needed for robustly carrying hidden data in the presence of noise and low level attacks, an indication of tampering or verification of authenticity of received audio can be ensured using a fragile watermark spread throughout the audio. In this paper, an audio watermarking procedure for hiding an imperceptible and fragile watermark using bit modification is presented.
