Cement slurry is formed by mixing water with Portland cement or with cement containing various essential additives as the case may be and pumping it down through to critical points in the annulus around the casing using various techniques. Class G cement is widely used in cementing jobs because it allows the use of accelerators and retarders for wide range of well depths and temperatures. Due to wait-on-cement time before commencement of drilling of the next section of the well, it is necessary to reduce the waiting time and it ripple effects on cost of drilling by introducing accelerator to the cement slurry. The chlorides of calcium, potassium and sodium are the commonly used accelerators. Water hyacinth ash have been known to contain high percentage of calcium, potassium and chlorine, these elements readily combine with water to form potassium chloride and calcium chloride of which both are used as accelerator additives in cement slurry formulation. The utilization of these compounds in water hyacinth ash as accelerator additives would be a major breakthrough in cementing jobs especially in shallow section of the wells. Locally sourced water hyacinth plants were dried and combusted in air, the ash was then activated with water and filtered. The filtrate was used to determine the thickening time of class G cement slurry and the results obtained was compared with that of inorganic calcium chloride. The thickening times at the various set temperatures for this experiment were close to the inorganic calcium chloride used. Though, the thickening time of cement slurry is dependent on temperature, the concentration of the accelerator in the slurry also affect it.. It was found out that water hyacinth ash reduces the thickening time of class G cement slurry comparatively and therefore, should be considered as accelerator additive in the formulation of oil well cement slurry for accelerating the cement setting time.","PeriodicalId":421022,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Engineering and Management Research","volume":"59 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131599857","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

People are conscious about their health and well-being. Multi-specialty and super-specialty hospitals have been established in many urban and semi-urban areas of our country. Several and super hospitals offer quality medical and technological services. There is no doubt that these hospitals have highly qualified doctors, but the support staff has been neglected. Nursing plays a key role in this hospital industry. The need for training, which is the skills of the employee and the required training skills, has never been evaluated for nursing staff. A Training Needs Analysis (TNA) is a job needs analysis that aims to identify which training needs are truly a priority. Roles and responsibilities must be considered when assessing these training needs. Communicating these needs helps the organization use resources effectively and efficiently. It also helps to avoid unnecessary exercise. Analysis of training needs can also mean a systematic and comprehensive study of various problems to accurately identify the dimensions of any organizational problem. Therefore, the organization will determine whether the problem will be solved through a training program or in some other way. Organizational problems refer to a lack of skills or knowledge when normal results cannot be achieved; the above explanation explains the difference between real and situational performance.","PeriodicalId":421022,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Engineering and Management Research","volume":"40 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116166323","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The empirical data from the study indicate that volatility displayed asymmetric behavior in a few select Asian stock markets over the study period. In relation to this study, we saw that the volatility reaction followed a consistent pattern in the Asian region. For all but a few select markets, shocks are homogeneous in size and sign. Additionally, there is evidence that volatility responses are persistent across all Asian stock markets, which suggests that the impact of volatility will gradually diminish. This study offers helpful information to the investor community to help them make informed decisions about their investments.","PeriodicalId":421022,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Engineering and Management Research","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125572388","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

During drilling a well, the biggest risk is a stuck pipe incident owing to the wellbore issues. If these issues are not treated timely, they can have devastating effects on the whole drilling operations. Also, running drilling and casing in and out of the borehole poses a huge operational risk on the drilling crew. It is the objective of any well design to minimize safety risks. This paper discusses about a new drilling technology commonly known as Casing While Drilling (CwD) along with factors to design the CwD operations to achieve the desired success.","PeriodicalId":421022,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Engineering and Management Research","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116301960","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Malaysia is a country that is famous for the high air temperature and relative humidity and inconsistent air movement of local climate which can influence the indoor environment. The different roof designs of Malaysian mosques also give impact to the believers in conducting prayers and other activities inside the mosques. Therefore, this study is to investigate the difference of roof design that influenced the thermal comfort and believers’ convenience in the mosque's building. It was found that the traditional roof design of mosques in Malaysia was the pitched roof with two and three-stacked mosques whereas most of the modern roof design was the domed roof. Both the pitched and domed roof of the mosque's design had the ability to control the indoor air distribution inside the mosque building. The pitch roof had the ability to control the circulation of the indoor air movement to achieve the equilibrium state whereas the domed roof could stratify the outdoor cool air to replace the hot indoor air inside the mosque building. Therefore, the future researcher could focus more strategies in order to improve the roof design of mosque for better indoor air inside the mosque building.
