Cloud computing is very beneficial for today’s organizations, as there is no need to maintain physical infrastructure. These services and resources can be accessed from anywhere anytime over the internet. It is cost effective as users only need to pay for resources they use. Many individuals and organizations have shifted themselves over cloud environment as it is cheaper and convenient. As huge amount of sensitive data is being stored and processing in cloud computing environment so there is major concern of security. Lack of security may cause several issues. It may result in loss of organisation’s data and may even leak confidential data of user and organisation to unwanted access. To implement security in cloud computing various authentication and encryption protocol exists. This aim of this paper is to review various authentication protocols given by various researchers all over the world.

However, there remains much to be done to develop, pilot and scale up business models and technologies that work to fully understand the nature and quantities of faecal sludge needing collection and treatment. In Kabwe, the lack of a comprehensive business model informed by market research has contributed to faecal sludge not reaching designated treatment sites. Private operators charge unregulated fees for emptying and use unhealthy emptying methods that risk public health and groundwater resource. This research aimed at developing an inclusive city-wide FSM business model for Kabwe Town was conducted using mixed qualitative and quantitative approaches at 172 households and institutions spread across 20 wards. The results showed that 41 percent of the containments were unlined pits which could not be desludged easily. Atleast 84 percent of households could not afford to pay $42 for emptying services, but 96 percent were willing to contribute a monthly staggered tariff for emptying service which would make the service affordable regardless of socioeconomic status. It was estimated that at least 8,882m3/year of sludge would be available for emptying. With minimal overhead costs, utilising existing infrastructure and charging an emptying fee of $1 – $3 or $3 – $9/m3, the business would make a positive net profit in the first year of operations and offset a loan amount of upto to $28,400. The model demonstrated that in as much as financial resources are required, minimal start-up capital coupled with prudent planning, utilisation of readily available resources are key success factors. The study brought out key areas of attention which includes the need for awareness creation, pro-poor diverse payment schemes to increase demand and concerted stakeholders efforts on issues of policy, enforcement and capacity strengthening.

Water pollution is the contamination of water bodies, usually as a result of human activities. Water pollution is one of many types of pollution which results from contaminants being introduced into the natural environment. Pollution causes adverse change. Pollution of groundwater can occur from on-site sanitation systems, landfills, effluents from wastewater treatment plants, petrol filling stations, leaching sewers, or over-application of fertilizers in agriculture. With this view, an attempt was made to assess the quality of groundwater in the rural area near Vijayawada by examining various physicochemical parameters such as colour, turbidity, odour, pH, total dissolved solids, alkalinity, hardness, chloride, fluoride, iron, and magnesium to check the suitability of water for human consumption. In this work, samples of water were collected and various parameters regarding the water quality were analysed &compared with Indian Standards: 10500 (Drinking water specifications) to check the acceptability of water for drinking purposes. Four water based drilling fluid samples containing different proportions of rice husk, xanthan gum and bentonite were investigated in this study to determine impacts of Sodium hydroxide (NaOH), Sodium chloride (NaCl), Sodium trioxocarbonate (IV) (Na2CO3) and Barite (BaSO4) on their rheological properties and pH values at temperature ranging from 30oC to 50oC. The chemical additives were added to the four samples at a given composition of 1%,2%,3% for (NaOH, NaCl, Na2CO3) and 5%, 10%, 15% for (BaSO4) by mass. The rheological properties of the samples were determined by FANN 35A viscometer using standard methods while pH meter and mud balance were used to measure their pH and density values respectively. The maximum pH, Shear- Stress, and AV corresponds to 11.6, 2.3985 Nm-2 and 112.5 cP respectively were observed in sample A with 10.5g of NaOH at 50oC while the highest YP value of 170 lbf/100ft2 was also observed at 35oC. However, maximum gel strength, GS (10 sec) and 10(min) were observed in the sample A with 190 lbf/100ft2 and 190 lbf/100ft2 for 10.5g of NaOH and 189 lbf/100ft2 and 191 lbf/100ft2 for 52.5g of BaSO4 respectively at temperature of 50oC. Furthermore, the same sample gave the lowest value of mud weight when the sample contain 3.5g of each additive (NaOH, NaCl and Na2CO3) at 35oC corresponds to 8.98 lb/gal. Drilling fluids produced with bentonite, rice husk, xanthan gum with appropriate proportion of NaOH and BaSO4 could be effective water based drilling fluid that can serve effectively in drilling operations at reasonable high temperature.

In the last ten years Kenya has experienced strong growth and development, largely anchored in the Country’s Vision 2030. Vision 2030 is a long term view of Kenya’s development intended to transform Kenya into a middle income country with a high quality of life by 2030. The vision is anchored on 3 pillars; economic, social and political. For ease of implementation the vision is entrenched in the 2010 constitution and has been divided into 5-year mid-term plans (MTP’s) coinciding with the electoral calendar. The current MTP was adopted in 2013 and includes a strong focus on digital transformation. This because, technology is increasingly playing a valuable role in communities, but also a highly disruptive role. \u0000Our communities are changing as a result of technology. Increased technological possibilities are resulting in faster and cheaper production of goods and services; the advent of technology has seen a shift in the needs of our communities, from requiring basic provision of infrastructure to needing more advanced technology appropriate infrastructure; technology has changed how information is communicated and received in our communities, and finally technology and its rapid speed of change has meant that we now question the viability of our existing buildings and infrastructure, and a step further, the viability even of the plans we have for future development. \u0000However, it is not all doom and gloom. It is possible through specific and deliberate strategies to harness the benefits of technology. To do this, communities and built industry professionals need to have a clear strategy that identifies where the biggest difference can be made with technology, and then align infrastructure and building provision goals and technology requirements with choices that are guided by a community-centred approach. To think, how will implementing this technology affect the community in which it is implemented? \u0000Since 2011, The World Bank, through the Kenya Investment Climate Program in partnership with the Architectural Association of Kenya and four County Governments of Nairobi, Mombasa, Kisumu and Kiambu have developed and are now successfully running automation of all approval and administrative processes associated with Construction Permits. This integration of technology to construction permitting has had numerous benefits: reduced time and costs for regulators and investors, has encouraged best practice among professionals and raised the level of safety in construction projects. \u0000In advocating for the integration of BIM to construction e-permit systems in urbanising Kenya, this paper demonstrates how technology can be harnessed to steer urbanisation while working for the good of the community. The mainstream scientific community has reached a consensus on this, which stimulates international political responses and promotes research on carbon emissions and their reduction in the economics community. At the 75th session of the UN General Assembly, President Xi Jinping solemnly promised that China will strive to peak its carbon emissions by 2030 and achieve carbon neutrality by 2060. Carbon emission reduction has received more attention. At the same time, the under-forest economy is regarded as a new growth point for carbon emission reduction. This paper focuses on reviewing the history of carbon emissions, the development of carbon emission reduction in China, and the economic analysis of China's carbon emission reduction policies. China's carbon emission reduction policy has been implemented for more than ten years, especially the carbon trading pilot policy, which has been implemented for seven years. Are state efforts effective? What is the current state of the carbon emission reduction market? What is the role of understory economy in reducing carbon emissions? The article also answers the above points.
