The aim of this work is to create a comfortable & low-cost cooling device which can save energy through the use of temperature sensor and thus helps to promote the efficiency. This system is specially designed for controlling temperature of devices like laptop, desktop etc. This process uses a relay as a switch which helps to turn on a 5V DC motor which regulates the fan if temperature of the thermistor exceeds a pre-set level. Cost of the entire system has been analysed in the paper and it is verified that the system is low-priced compared to other existing cooling system. So, this design can be used mainly as a low-cost cooling device.","PeriodicalId":417359,"journal":{"name":"2018 4th International Conference on Electrical Engineering and Information & Communication Technology (iCEEiCT)","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130083045","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Spiral inductor is a passive element, a coil of wire, follows several drawbacks regarding silicon area consumption, quality factor, and inductance. However, an innovative approach which replicates the behaviors exhibited by the spiral inductor with some additional key features is active inductor. This research paper narrates several comparative features which define the figure of merit and recapitulates the findings based on established references models and proper simulations. Considering the drawbacks such as greater silicon area consumption, low and fixed inductance and quality factor shown by spiral inductor, the active inductor outdoes the spiral inductor. The simulation results demonstrate how the inductance can be made tunable by the regulating parameters such as capacitance, transconductance of the implemented transconductor which also pave the way to tune the quality factor. Nonetheless, active inductor has two major drawbacks regarding phase noise and dc power consumption aided by active elements used in this topology. After all, for the purpose of application based implementations of active inductor, some basic performance parameters and controlling parameters that affect the performance parameters have been summarized.","PeriodicalId":417359,"journal":{"name":"2018 4th International Conference on Electrical Engineering and Information & Communication Technology (iCEEiCT)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130438270","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

There are enormous types of blood disorders that can be identified by analyzing blood cells. There are several approaches used for this purpose. However, every method has their pros and cons. Improvement of segmentation of cells can increase the performance of cell classification and cell counting in later stages. The main concern of our paper is to segment the white blood cells from fluorescent images using K-means Clustering and Morphological Operators. We detect the cluster with WBC and refine the result depending on the presence of nucleus in the segmented cells. Non-WBCs are the cells without a nucleus and smaller in size. Presence of nucleus in a cell can be an indicator of WBC. We segment nucleus in cells and calculate the average area of the nucleus. We then refine the segmentation result based on the presence and size of the nucleus. Our analysis on WBCs demonstrates a comparison with ground truth values. We achieved our result with sensitivity of 96.4932% and precision of 9S.3584%. Our algorithm and analysis of results outperform state of the art method in several aspects.","PeriodicalId":417359,"journal":{"name":"2018 4th International Conference on Electrical Engineering and Information & Communication Technology (iCEEiCT)","volume":"42 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127619776","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To overcome the major disadvantages of DC-DC power converters such as high voltage and current ripples, low efficiency etc, interleaving strategies play a significant role. The interleaved boost converter offers many advantages such as minimum voltage and current ripples, low switching loss, higher efficiency etc compared to traditional boost converter. To enhance the entire performance of the converter, ‘n’ numbers of paralleled converters are connected in the interleaved boost converter. The sun light is a everlasting source of energy which is environment friendly, clean and noiseless. This solar energy can easily recompense the demand of energy produced from the conventional sources of energy such as fossil fuels and reserved petroleum. Perovskite based solar cell is a promising one as it is remarkably cheaper than the present available technologies and it’s conversion efficiency has rushed from from 3.8% in 2009 to 22.1% in 2016 in few years and consequently has drawn much research interest in the photovoltaic community. But because of the Pb toxicity of conventional lead halide perovskite, CH<inf>3</inf> NH<inf>3</inf>SnI<inf>3</inf>can be a possible alternative to CH<inf>3</inf> NH<inf>3</inf>PbX<inf>3</inf>because of its narrower band gap of 1.3 eV and a wider visible absorption spectrum than the lead halide perovskite. It uses Arduino Uno which contain a microcontroller as a controller unit. Firstly the tiny signal which is detected by pressure sensor is amplified by an instrument amplifier, then the amplified signal will be divided into cuff-pressure oscillation signal (AC) and cuff pressure signal (DC). Operational amplifier (op-amp) is used for filtering and amplification of the signal. The filtered and amplified signal will be sampled by ADC module of microcontroller. From which AC and DC voltage series will be the output. By oscillometric method, systolic pressure and diastolic pressure can be calculated out. Secondly by sensing the signal of pulse sensor, pulse rate can be detected. Thirdly, temperature signal from the human body is collected through the digital temperature sensor. These signals are sent to the microcontroller of Arduino Uno and calibrated into degree Fahrenheit. All these output from health band as blood pressure, pulse rate and body temperature are displayed into the LCD. The automated digital health band works quite well when compared with conventional measurement methods of blood pressure, body temperature and pulse rate.","PeriodicalId":417359,"journal":{"name":"2018 4th International Conference on Electrical Engineering and Information & Communication Technology (iCEEiCT)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130405961","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
