Therefore, it is fundamental to deepen the research that demonstrates the importance of reading mediation in this process. In this perspective, this article aims to highlight, from the Information Science literature and related areas , which deals with reading mediation, aspects that address the process of attributing sense and significance for identity recognition and strengthening as basic to achieve social protagonism. This research is characterized as qualitative and uses the bibliographic method, relating conceptual and analytical aspects that supported this study. As results, are presented: the context of postgraduate studies in Information Science in Brazil and the Biblioteca Digital Brasileira de Teses e Dissertacoes; data on the teaching of epistemology in postgraduate studies in Information Science in Brazil; the main subjects and references in the thesis and dissertations on epistemology in the area. Theoretical context is based on a literature review on the concept of plagiarism and on digital tools for detecting plagiarism. The methodology and objectives of the project to detect and avoid plagiarism are described, and the outputs from its implementation are presented. Special emphasis is placed on the identification, analysis and evaluation of 10 digital plagiarism detection tools, based on a grid of criteria defined for this purpose. This procedure resulted in the selection of the three best tools (PlagScan, Urkund and Plag.pt), which are presented in more detail. In addition, materials designed to be used in a strategy to avoid plagiarism in an academic community are presented. The relevance of the work is based on the testimony of innovative didactic practices in an Information Science graduate course, through the use of project-based learning. To survey the articles, Science Direct and Scopus databases were used in order to identify publications indexed in the databases mentioned in the period from 2011 to 2020. The articles were subjected using the Ordinatio method for an advanced selection with greater relevance. In the literature review, there is an approach on knowledge management practices with emphasis on narratives. Still in the literature review, the relation with decision making is contextualized. The research shows that the theme has been explored more recently in a form distributed among journals and between countries, in addition to showing that the main application of storytelling involves an evaluation of the narratives to obtain information regarding the experiences of the participating individuals. In this sense, the objective of this research was to analyze the constitution of the collection of the Library of the Penitentiary of Florianopolis, presenting the data obtained for research of the dissertation entitled “The constitution of the collection of the Library of the Penitentiary of Florianopolis. The universe of this research is the Florianopolis Penitentiary Library, linked to the Florianopolis Penitentiary Complex. With regard to methodological procedures, an on-site visit was made in the second half of 2019. Three forms presented using google forms were used to collect data on the source of the works that make up this collection and the selection criteria of the collection. Regarding the methodological procedures, the research is a case study, with a structured interview, classified as exploratory and descriptive, with a qualitative approach and bibliographic survey for theoretical foundation. Data collection was carried out with two coordinators from the municipality's education secretary, in addition to the five responsible for the projects in the school libraries. As a result, projects are presented with the characteristics of spaces, activities and impacts. Explains the availability of technologies, the organization of the collection, the contribution of the librarian, which is still absent in school libraries in the municipality. It is concluded that the spaces are beautiful and cozy, with updated collection to enchant students. Among the activities developed in the projects, the focus is on reading classes, with emphasis on the loan of books, storytelling, theater presentation, availability of books for families and the community and other specific activities for each project. Main objective: to analyze the references to the school library in Brazil’s National Education Guidelines and Frameworks Law (LDB). Specific objectives: to point out the main conceptions regarding school library; to outline the history of LDB; to search for mentions to the Library and related terms inside the text of laws; and to analyze the references made and the omission of terms. Methodology: it presents characteristics of a bibliographic and documentary study, using theoretical references contained in the Information Science Database (BRAPCI) during the second half of 2020. In addition to BRAPCI, it was also searched on scientific studies in the area of Information Science, specifically in the field of Library Science, as well as courses in the area of Education, in order to identify studies that approach LDB and its developments. Results: the bibliographic survey indicated a lack of studies that dialogue with and refer to the school library in the context of LDB. The documentary analysis conducted on LDB pointed out the absence of mentions or references made to the school library, or any terms related to it. It brings the concepts of information sources, social media and competences, going through the competences in information and communication until converging in the infocommunicational competences. It addresses the subject of fake news and its most recent evolution, the deepfakes. Quantitative research is used to determine whether and how adolescents and young people validate information obtained through social media. Among the objectives of the study, the following stand out: to identify the use of social media as a source of information by adolescents and young people and why they use them; and describe the information evaluation process on social media in the light of the criteria proposed by the IFLA.
