Designers select strategically important places where it is possible to consider introducing alternative solutions. They separate the \"healthy\" tissue, stating that its condition is suitable for being left behind, use a variant model, and are able to present solutions that are objectively similar in quality to each other. In this work, the author will try to explain the importance of the variant design process. For this purpose, he will use the example of developing a local revitalization plan for the so-called \"Old Town\" of the city of Wołomin.","PeriodicalId":414139,"journal":{"name":"Space&FORM","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124914007","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As a result of the conducted analysis, the inalienable features of an architectural object have been distilled, which at the same time are a response to the needs underlying the creation of the object, i.e. its construction and use. As an example, the lighthouse was analyzed due to its simple functional and formal structure, as well as the ability to show, in this case, how to define the primary attributes of architecture in order to correctly establish a hierarchy of importance - be it functional or formal.","PeriodicalId":414139,"journal":{"name":"Space&FORM","volume":"36 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129141015","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

He became a character or a background, a scenery for other plays. The garden as a work has its frame - a structure on which all other garden elements, both decorative and functional, are 'hung'. Construction layer considerations include a fencing with an entrance, secondary fencing, a road, a house as the center, and dead trees. Understanding the priority we give to construction in garden design, and the function and importance of the elements in this layer, organizes thinking about the garden composition and allows you to understand the content encoded in the works of garden art and inspired by the garden.","PeriodicalId":414139,"journal":{"name":"Space&FORM","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126103965","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The usefulness of this data was tested on the example of quality of life indicators in the city of Kielce and its neighborhood. The databases were analyzed in terms of their scope, relevance, and level of spatial aggregation. The study used the hierarchical analysis (AHP) and multi-criteria evaluation (MCE) method. The issue under consideration was presented in the form of a hierarchy, with a quality of life at the top. The lowest level of the hierarchy is formed by selected indicators defined in the standard ISO 37120. The methodology for calculating and visualization of each indicator is presented illustrating the diversity of life quality in the Kielce Functional Area.","PeriodicalId":414139,"journal":{"name":"Space&FORM","volume":"323 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123477760","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Over the 30 years of political transformation and excessive suburbanisation around both Warsaw and the surrounding cities was accompanied by an increase in the number of residents and decrease in green areas in favour of housing development. The suburban zone around Warsaw keeps expanding. Its dynamics of changes make its range difficult to define. Areas adjacent to Warsaw show stronger urbanisation than the peripheral suburban zone. Long-lasting spatial transformations around Warsaw contribute to the development of a new peri-urban zone, constituting a specific urban-rural continuum.","PeriodicalId":414139,"journal":{"name":"Space&FORM","volume":"73 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127124599","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The success of this procedure depends on the model’s level of detail, which is in turn derived from what is known about the building. Should necessary data be missing, they are ignored and the model’s value decreases; alternatively, one can use suppositions and risk crossing the boundary of academic conduct. Virtual reconstruction is a procedure during which gaps in knowledge about the reconstructed building are identified, and their list defines the scope of postulated tasks that could lead to the building’s full exploration. This procedure was applied in a virtual reconstruction of Dobra Castle.","PeriodicalId":414139,"journal":{"name":"Space&FORM","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130328063","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
