The anniversary issue of the journal is also an occasion to present the current legal situation with a focus on threats that the academic journal market in Poland currently faces. A broad investigation of legal acts and information about selected journals presents matters concerning academic journals in Poland and present information and statistics, specifically for selected periodicals from the architecture and urban planning discipline. It accentuates the value of the historic detail and ornamentation of the front elevations, made out half-timbered structure, and identifies the building stock of this type of architecture in the capital of the Lubusz Voivodeship. This subject concerns sites under conservation via monument protection forms and new sites built in areas protected by provisions for urban complexes. Cases from Krakow, a city considered a monument by UNESCO, were analyzed. The temporal scope of the study was the last twenty-two years. The study was based on an investigation of the literature and analytical methods. The findings produced a review of design activity, as well as controversial and divisive matters. The discussion and conclusions feature an assessment of the activity investigated, which served to supplement general guidelines for the conservation approach model under current legal, environmental and social conditions. It is the result of planned human activities related to land parcellation, building infrastructure, establishing safety rules, creating a friendly scale and aesthetics of public spaces. It is also the result of spontaneous processes that take place without strict control. It is influenced by economy, demography, environmental factors, as well as wars, conflicts, and competition between entities. In architecture, it is possible to build knowledge and competences by performing tests on a 1:1 scale. Although expensive and difficult, it sometimes brings the desired results and opens the perspective to new design techniques. In urban planning, the subject of creative activities is too complex to test final solutions. The time from design to implementation is too long to use your own experience even indirectly. The only way to test urban ideas in the conceptual phase is to create models. Both geometric and social features could be represented. Only in the second half of the nineteenth century, museums are formed based on private collections. Objects were erected to house the collections, which for a long time, almost until the middle of the 20th century, stylistically referred to the architecture of ancient Greece. From the mid-nineteenth century, museums began to be built, for which architects looked for inspiration in later styles. An analysis of official statistical information presented in the reports on population censuses and inventory of residential premises conducted in recent years in Russia, Japan and the United States made it possible to identify the dependence of changes in the number and area of living premises on the direction of development of the property structure in the country. Despite the relative stability of the reproduction of the traditional spatial image of the country's living premises, the change in its characteristics also depends on the level and character of the distribution of housing provision among the population. In the 19th century, a wide variety of living conditions with a low level of housing provision for the population led to an increase in state support for the construction of housing, which made it possible to narrow the geometric parameters of housing under construction and increase the average level of provision in countries. With the increase in the economic opportunities of households, it becomes preferable to purchase housing in private ownership, which makes it possible to expand the variety of living conditions and increase the average provision of housing for the population. The complete privatization of dwellings, observed at the end of the 20th century, leads to the emergence of private rent, which narrows the geometric characteristics of the dwelling under construction and increases the uneven housing supply again. A division into three basic stylistic-temporal trajectories was made, distinguished based on design methodology that includes participation: late Modernism, Postmodernism, and participative architecture of the early twenty-first century. Based on an analysis of theoretical texts and selected structures, distinctive features of a given period were identified.
