It is a very important precondition to make the most of this technology that data be partitioned. In this paper, we talk about the general strategy of spatial data partition and summarize its principles are good space proximity, balanced data load, small data redundancy and short time consumed. After analyzing the current partition algorithms, we find that there are many partition problems, such as the space division and load unbalanced. In order to solve these problems, we presented a new partition algorithm based on the statistical cluster method, which has better spatial proximity and data load than traditional algorithms.","PeriodicalId":413886,"journal":{"name":"2011 19th International Conference on Geoinformatics","volume":"104 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-06-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122626618","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Available TVDI calculation depends on the remote sensing data and computational algorithms. With a partial updating of the algorithms and remote sensing data, it needs to recompile and redeploy the implementation of the TVDI calculation, which contains duplicated work and can't take full use of the available information resources. This research is focus on how to reuse the soil information under the internet environment. In this paper, all research based on the Web Service and workflow technologies and implementation uses the Windows workflow foundation model as the modeling language. In the end, taking Wuhan as a study area, the TVDI calculating workflow model is built up for soil moisture, then we discuss how to update the TVDI workflow model to fit the different spatial resolution remote sensing image conditions, at the same time, keeping the original TVDI calculation workflow model and avoiding the duplicated work.","PeriodicalId":413886,"journal":{"name":"2011 19th International Conference on Geoinformatics","volume":"19 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-06-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122056728","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

With the explosion of spatial data, conventional implementation of nearest neighbor analysis cannot present high performance towards large amount of dataset. So in this paper, a parallel implementation of nearest neighbor analysis is proposed, with parallelization of computing the nearest neighbor distance of each point. Compared with CPU, now GPU can provide more powerful capacity of processing floating point operations and has more multiprocessors for parallel processing. So we develop the parallel program of nearest neighbor analysis with CUDA (Compute Unified Device Architecture) in terms of GPGPU (General-Purpose computing on Graphics Processing Units). In our experiments, when the number of points is large, the speedup of the parallel implementation can achieve more than 10, compared with the conventional implementation in CPU.","PeriodicalId":413886,"journal":{"name":"2011 19th International Conference on Geoinformatics","volume":"79 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-06-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122113244","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, by using MODIS images of 250 m resolution and hydrodynamic model and in site observation, the author analyze the distribution characteristics of suspended sediment and hydrodynamics mechanism. Relatively high Suspended sediment concentration distribute in the alongshore and south and north of Nanhui neareshore. During the flood tide period, distribution range of high suspended sediment concentration is northward moved. During ebb tide period, the zone of turbidity maximum is shown near the south of Nanhui nearshore. Based on terrain data analyses in 1999, 2003 and 2008, altitude value of underwater terrain in most area of Nanhui nearshore is increase. Most area of Nanhui nearshore is depositing. Momaosha mudflat in the north of Nanhui nearshore is extending southeastward. South of the Nanhui subaqueous beach is extending slowly southeastward and southward.","PeriodicalId":413886,"journal":{"name":"2011 19th International Conference on Geoinformatics","volume":"59 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-06-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128483802","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Texture Applications include industrial inspection, estimation of object range and orientation, shape analysis, satellite imaging, and medical diagnosis. In this paper we present a methodology based on computing a set of textural measures with Gabor filter. The time-frequency transformed based method of texture discrimination, which is in turn based on Gabor filters is done. In Gabor transform, a signal can be represented in terms of sinusoids that are modulated by translated Gaussian windows. In this paper, the Gabor texture features combined with original bands of image, PCA, and NDVI were adopted as the characteristic vector of training samples for SVM, and Decision Tree classification. Finally, traditional classification schemes of Maximum Likelihood were comparatively studied. For most of the cases, the SVM method gave the highest correct classification rate within these three methodologies. Decision tree and SVM have their superiority respectively.","PeriodicalId":413886,"journal":{"name":"2011 19th International Conference on Geoinformatics","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-06-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129358076","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
