It is an abstraction and representation of the objective real world. Spatio-temporal data model which focuses on the state description based on the time stamps is most natural for the space data with typical characteristic at all time points. This paper introduces four types of spatio-temporal data models applied the Beijing urban history data model which describes the spatial characteristics for urban form and urban spatial structure of Beijing city based on the events during history process. These four types of models focus on state description. Their advantages are that it is natural, simple and easy to be implemented for describing discrete urban outline and material space factors which are changed discretely.","PeriodicalId":413886,"journal":{"name":"2011 19th International Conference on Geoinformatics","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-06-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125518624","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This symbol can be automatically generated and easily shared on the web through the syntactic characteristics of statistical indicators and cartography visualization. This paper expounds the symbol types, inner structure and its design pattern. And a syntactic construction theory based on phoneme (thematic map primitive) — word (single thematic symbol) — sentence (combined symbols or complex symbols) structure model is put forward for automatic construction of thematic map symbol. As a result of this research, symbols can be defined using cartographic primitives which are arranged according to its syntactic principles. The traditional regression models are reviewed firstly, the model without the consideration of spatial characteristics cannot reach very nice precision to simulate the spatial distribution of the house price. In this study, the spatial statistical model, coupled with GIS as well as GWR model, is developed. The proposed model is validated using the house price data in Shenzhen, China, when considering these factors such as the land price, transportation, the distance to the commercial center, the distance to hospital, school, the house type, the brand of the house etc. It is demonstrated that our approach provides an effective model to present the distribution of the residential house price and serve as a tool for house price appraisal during the property tax levy process.","PeriodicalId":413886,"journal":{"name":"2011 19th International Conference on Geoinformatics","volume":"15 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-06-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115321844","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Two data combination strategies are adopted and compared. The result shows that coherent targets or PS method works in West China's plateau area for post-seismic crustal deformation observation. The measured historical deformations on point target positions are proved to be reasonable, which is about 7–9cm. Full combination based on less SLC data is proved to be much more efficient for PS data processing. Continuous deformation field was not retrieved because of the low density of PS.","PeriodicalId":413886,"journal":{"name":"2011 19th International Conference on Geoinformatics","volume":"262 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-06-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115997628","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The average commuting time in Beijing increased from 38 minutes in 2005 to 45 minutes in 2010. The commute time increases from the inner city to the suburbs. More people use the rail traffic system with the development of the urban track traffic system, but less people choose the bicycle at the same time. In different areas, the choosing of the transport options also has some difference. The “To Center” commuting flows are the main flows now, although there are “Out of Center” flows at the same time. In some special regions, the commuting flow was different because of the zones controlled by different functional definitions under the urban planning of Beijing.","PeriodicalId":413886,"journal":{"name":"2011 19th International Conference on Geoinformatics","volume":"106 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-06-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122676374","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The approach is based on digital databases, along with such methods as statistics, spatial analysis based on Geographic Information System, and interactive mapping. The prediction map of study area is created by overlaying the different spatial contribution map of each factor combined with the prediction model by the technology of GIS. In this prediction map, the authors classify the susceptibility of the landslides into 4 levels including high, medium, low and safe. The approach can be used not only to analyze the general characteristics of such a relationship, but also to depict its spatial distribution and development. As a newly developed city, Shenzhen is undergoing tremendous change in landscape. The once hilly areas have been toppled over to make land. Reclaimed land is built to harbors, industry parks, and residential developments. However, ground settlement is a common phenomenon in reclaimed land, and mostly caused by settling of unconsolidated basements. This study uses Permanent Scatterer Interferometry (PSI) technologies to investigate ground settlement in the reclamation areas. A time series of ENVISAT ASAR images from May 2006 to September 2010 are used to generate ground settlement fields in the study area. Based on the ground deformation rate maps derived from ASAR images, thematic maps of ground settlement zones are generated. In general, the ground settlement zones are mainly distributed along the reclaimed harbor areas. The points and zones with great ground settlement values in the study area are located.","PeriodicalId":413886,"journal":{"name":"2011 19th International Conference on Geoinformatics","volume":"62 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2011-06-24","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122577473","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
