The concept of Ion motion optimization is modeled from the attraction and repulsion forces among anions and cations in the real world. The mathematical model of IMO is quiet simple and very easy to implement. The liquid phase of IMO performs exploration and crystal phase simulates the exploitation. To handle the power balance equality constraint, exterior penalty method is used. Finally, EcLD problem having 13-generators is solved using ion motion optimization.","PeriodicalId":413723,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Power Energy, Environment and Intelligent Control (PEEIC)","volume":"29 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122609851","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The existing traffic light controller uses predefined hardware and microprocessors which cannot be modified on the basis of real time traffic. But here we have used UID card with a RFID Reader and a GSM module. In future every car will be equipped with a digital number which will be the unique identity of that particular car. This number is factory fitted with every car and cannot be alterable. So when any car crosses the red light then reader on the road immediate scan the car digital number and save in the memory. As soon as someone violates the traffic light rules then the UID of that particular vehicle is stored in the memory of the microcontroller. The proposed scheme is user friendly and fast due to the use of the GSM module. It gives instant information when any vehicle jumps red light to the control room by sending a message. The data stored in the database can further be used to send chalans to the offender.","PeriodicalId":413723,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Power Energy, Environment and Intelligent Control (PEEIC)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128451868","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Mishra, Bhim Singh","doi":"10.1109/PEEIC.2018.8665636","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.1109/PEEIC.2018.8665636","url":null,"abstract":"An investigation on the performance of a dual output buck-boost converter is presented in this paper to verify its suitability for solar water pump driven by switched reluctance motor (SRM) drive. Conventional buck-boost converter is modified for a dual-output configuration to feed the capacitors as per the requirement of split-dc link SRM converter. This modification with two inductors in its output section, provides two independent balanced DC output voltages from a single dc source featuring single power semiconductor switch. Inherent voltage balancing feature, eliminates the need of extra control architecture to balance the voltages across the DC link capacitors, thereby reducing the cost and complexity of the system. A simple and efficient maximum power point tracking (MPPT) technique called incremental conductance (InC) is used to drive the photovoltaic (PV) array at maximum power point (MPP) with oscillation free operation and to increase the system efficiency. A proper selection in step size of MPPT, provides smooth starting of SRM drive. The performance of the system is validated both by simulation in MATLAB/Simulink and by experimentally on a developed prototype using a 8/6 SRM. The response of the system obtained under starting, steady state and dynamic conditions, shows its aptness towards water pumping system powered by solar PV array.","PeriodicalId":413723,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Power Energy, Environment and Intelligent Control (PEEIC)","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123924050","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Technically successive approximation type ADC processing speed depends largely on the fast operation of the comparator, which is one of the vital part of such structure. In today’s digital ultra-tech world, speed and low power consumption are major factors that are taken under consideration. In this paper, the propagation delays, power dissipation of different comparators will be analyzed dependent on different temperature points. The readers can easily draw an analytical expression for the performance of the comparator by considering these comparisons. To design a low power and low voltage comparator voltage supply, propagation delay, power dissipation must be considered which are represented in this paper to find a better comparator which will act ideally in real environment without changing its characteristics. This paper represents a comparison of different comparators such as circuit complexity, length, CMOS technology, voltage supply etc. Simulations have been performed by using SPICE in 90 nm CMOS technology.","PeriodicalId":413723,"journal":{"name":"2018 International Conference on Power Energy, Environment and Intelligent Control (PEEIC)","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-04-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116867203","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
